I’ve stayed in Delhi many times and have always struggled to find somewhere that actually looks like the photos. Most hotels use fake photos or glam the rooms up just for the photos but this place is 100% genuine. My room was spotless clean. The bathroom was spotless not a spec of mould, grime or dust and the bathroom came with shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, body wash, toothbrush and toothpaste. The bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room works from wifi to AC. The hotel is located on quite street and close to great eating options and close to some great markets. Karol Bagh is a nice neighbourhood, no one is trying to hustle you and it’s clean and slow paced. The staff are great and go out of there way to help you. The owner is a great guy who also goes out of his way to make you feel like you’re at home. Zero complaints and I recommend this place especially to foreigners who want to stay in a nice chill part of Delhi that is close to everything. This is now my go to stay in Delhi

I had stayed at Wood Castle in Jan 2023 and at that time room service was not available at the property. That was my only grievance at that time. Thankfully, this time room service was available. Since I was travelling alone, and it was not always possible for me to go out for meals, this was a huge factor for my stay. The staff are extremely polite. Check in was smooth and hassle free. Kitchen staff were always polite and smiling. I was worried about safety, but never for a moment did I feel even remotely unsafe. I was unwell during my entire stay and one of the days I was down with severe diarrhea. Upon my request, the staff very promptly bought me medicine and later asked about my health. Food was delicious. Tea, specially was very good. The hotel is located at a residential area so feels safe and secure. Area is barricaded at night for extra safety. Metro station is 3-4 minutes walking. Cabs are easily available. I had a very good experience and would highly recommend staying here.

Area is barricaded at night, so if you have an early morning flight and have to leave at dark, cabs may not come till the hotel. You will have to walk with your luggage till the main road, which is 1-2 minutes walking. The switch for the geyser in my room was so high in the bathroom, that I had to stand on top of the commode and switch it on and off. A bit unsafe, specially when alone.

Wood Castle is an exceptional hotel to stay in. I would recommend anyone staying in Delhi to book here, yes it is that good. I was made to feel so welcome by the owners, manager and staff. Mr Kamal, Mr Singh and Khushal were the perfect hosts. Their hospitality is second to none, on a couple of evenings they invited me for food and drinks with them in the comfortable downstairs area and we talked, laughed and i had a very enjoyable experience. The room and hotel is very clean, very comfortable and is located in a quiet street, so you will always get a good night's sleep. The area around the hotel is also good, with the main shops in Karol Bagh just a 10-15 minutes walk away. I travel around a lot and believe me, you cannot go wrong with the Wood Castle if you are in Delhi.

Our room was stuffy and smelled of damp. The staff had to spray the room frequently to freshen the air. The location wasn't very nice, but then, we didn't see anywhere in Delhi that was very nice.

- breakfast took a little longer but wasn't a problem for us - the water didn't get fully warm, but to be fair I didn't ask for them to fix it as it didn't bother me too much

The hotel is good for families. As of today they do not have a restaurant. But, as discussed with the manager there, they are planning to open a new kitchen for themselves. Either way, they served us breakfast and dinner on pre-order basis. The rooms were neat and really comfortable. They changed our room on request and no hassle in that. The staff was very polite and approachable.

Apart from the restaurant not being available everything was perfect.

This is the only property my family could find that was true to their word. Wood Castle was CLEAN, the beds sooo comfortable (especially the pillows) and the bathrooms were exceptional. Compared to every other property we stayed booked in India or researched, this was the only one that matched their images and was actually above a liveable standard of cleanliness. My family booked two different rooms and the standards delivered were consistent. The staff were super accommodating too!

The location was great - it seems to be a safe, residential area, with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby, less thank 10 min walk to the metro station. We had a pleasure to meet one of the owners of the hotel, he was extremely helpful and friendly! Our room was spacious, clean and well equiped. The whole place is well managed and we felt that the staff took care of us. Wifi worked well.

The water pressure in the shower could be better. One evening we didnt have hot water.

The cleanliness of the room was spectacular, especially the washrooms. Being a very hygiene conscious person, I loved how well the entire property is maintained. All the facilities that one could hope for are provided. Absolutely loved the king-sized bed with the most comfortable mattresses ever. The property is located in heart of the city at just 5 minute walking distance from the metro station and Karol Bagh market which is the biggest market of Delhi. The staff also being so hospitable, always try ensure you're comfortable, and greet you with the brightest smiles. The major plus with the staff was them being comfortable in English as well as the local language. Can't wait for my next visit. Thank you Wood Castle!!! See you again soon!
