From the moment we arrived at this beautiful, family-run hotel in Jodhpur, we were completely captivated. Set in a lovingly restored historical mansion, the architecture is nothing short of stunning – a perfect blend of heritage charm and refined elegance. Every corner of the property tells a story, with exquisite furniture and thoughtfully curated interior design that create a warm yet luxurious atmosphere. The food was a true highlight – every meal was a feast of flavour, clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. The facilities are immaculate, especially the pool area, which is pristine, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the exceptional hospitality. The staff treated us like royalty – genuine, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Harish, in particular, stood out as an incredible front-of-house team member. He shared the fascinating history of the mansion with such pride and passion, and his kindness, warmth and professionalism left a lasting impression on us. We’ve stayed at many hotels across India over the years – including several 5-star properties – and this was by far our favourite. It’s a rare gem that combines heart, heritage, and hospitality in the most wonderful way. We can’t wait to return!

It was exceptional, nothing requires improvement.

The staff was very good and friendly! Balveer is exceptional! He is very helpful and you can trust his tips for your Jodhpur stay! Besides that, the hotel is very clean. Wi-Fi is good (very rare otherwise). Swimming pool is great. Timings also (8am till 8pm). Location is quite but very close to all sites! Food is very good. Overall great experience!

Just a minor thing, the room was a bit dark - probably just ours. Maybe see through windows would help. Would still stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay recently at Ratan Villas, where I spent 2 nights and found every part of my stay to far exceed my expectations. Communication with the hotel was always prompt and professional. Prior to my arrival, they were great about setting up airport pickup and even a car/driver for my trip down to Udaipur. Upon arriving, I found the hotel to be a feast for the eyes, with lovely gardens, bougainvillea and patios and a beautifully maintained rambling palace painted in earth tones of reds and yellows. Completely authentic and atmospheric, two of the things I most love to find when travelling, and without crowds. The staff, every one I came across, were simply wonderful, charming, polite, with lots of smiles. The room was large, well apportioned and designed, comfortable bed and a great modern bathroom. The pool setting is lovely and very inviting on these hot days, or after hours of touring in town. Mealtime was a delight as well, with delicious cuisine served outside on the patio (you have the option of a lovely dining room) for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was spot on, from hot/cold options to Indian/western. Location: I think this is the true selling point. Jodhpur, meaning the city center (Sadar Bazar, Mehrengarh Fort, etc) is beautiful but it is chaotic with a capital C. I was beyond thrilled that after touring around I could retreat to this quiet, peaceful, oasis to re charge. It's my stay at Ratan Villas that left me with such wonderful memories of Jodhpur.

Our favorite hotel of our India holiday. The property is gorgeous! On check in Balveer greeted us and made us feel at home right away. A short tour of the property, including the history and timings of the onsite restaurant was wonderful. We were left to relax while the staff were always on hand if we needed anything. In the evenings, the traditional music was a treat and added to the ambiance of the restaurant - which served fantastic food. If like me you struggle to decide what to have - the waiters are more than happy to advise and guide you on local foods. Our waiter was lovely to chat too - very knowledgable on the area and surrounds. (I'm kicking myself that I have forgotten his name!). Ratan Vilas is an oasis in a very busy city - and the pool gives you somewhere to escape too in the afternoon heat. Rooms are super spacious and extremely comfortable. Nothing is too much effort for the team here - from help with getting a taxi, tuk tuk, restaurant booking or recommendations on where to go. I cant wait to return to the blue city and will without a doubt be staying here! Thank you to everyone!

The staff really make this gorgeous place what is. Special shout out to Jaipal and Harish, as well as the owner himself, who introduced himself during our two-day stay and made sure we had a very special time there. They really went above and beyond to help us when one of us was sick, as well as extend our stay and even gave us an upgrade. The place is like a tranquil oasis on the periphery of Jodhpur's chaos and everything - the meals, the gardens, the decor, the scent (!) of the hotel is exquisitely honed and crafted. Amazing value for money.

If I have to nitpick the staff could tend to the requirements of the guests a tad bit better and in an organised manner.

The place is maintained by the Royal family and every bit of luxury can be seen inside the Ratan Vilas, Jodhpur! The furniture, the decor, size of the beds, the floor, the gardens, the swimming pool, the lamps, entire decor is handpicked by the royals and they will pamper and spoil you at the property. The bathroom was so cosy with a huge granite bathing tub. all bathroom fittings so classy! I loved my stay at this amazing place .

One suggestion - The spread of Breakfast is limited, maybe we can have a bit more options.

The manager, Balveer, is the best. He shared about the history of the place, he is warm and very helpful. The staff is amazing too. Attentive and very professional. Special mention to Manohar. The room and the furniture are beautiful. The mattress is very comfortable. The place itself is incredible. The pool and the garden are quiet. The food is so good and you would love the dinner on the terrace . You feel at home but also like a princess. This place is unique and I can't wait to come back.

Where do I start??? What an amazing place! It felt I was a king in a palace. The moment you are enter the facility you are greeted by a team. A private tour of the entire hotel Hotel is beautiful in the day and night. Evening dinner with live traditional music. Mr. Brijraj Singh takes a special care of his guest and I am very thank you to him for making it very very special He arranged a camel sunset tour and Spanish speaking tour guide for the fort. A must stay place. A lifetime experience.
