Extraordinary place with awesome decor. Nice garden and swimming pools. Lovely entertainment on one night. Beautiful spa.

Even if the place is huge, I was not able to be quiet for a while. Also staff or visitors coming forth and back. Visitors should not be allowed to areas where residents are staying. But residents should be shown the property and not be left alone while waiting for hours. A lot of work going on what is understandable but annoying when right beside both rooms I have been staying in.

This is another classic heritage property. A former 'Rajbari' refurbished to accommodate guests. It has the classic touch of luxury in it against the backdrop of rural Bengal. We stayed in a cosy room and enjoyed our time in the large swimming pool for hours. Food prepared for breakfast lunch and dinner had a wide variety to choose from (Bengali, North and South Indian, Continental and Chinese) The evening shows were a delight to experience with the smell of 'Dhuna' (Indian Frankincense) and to the sound of 'Dhaak'. Complemented by Soft music live band the evenings were the most joyful. We had our personal care giver Mr. Manish, who assisted us throughout our stay and was always a phone call away. Very friendly and courteous who catered to our every single need no matter how late it was. We also enjoyed a relaxing couple's massage at the Spa and felt rejuvenated combined with hours of water play in the pool. Our rooms had all the precaution against mosquitoes and pests. At the courtyard we also had service to sit and enjoy sipping drinks and enjoying snacks while we listened to the live band.

Nothing to mention :)

Royalty meets pleasure at the Rajbari. We went in a group of 7 on a Sunday. At the entrance we were welcomed with a traditional Puja, thereafter met Swarup who was our personal liaison to take care of F & B. He was very polite and looked after us very well. The suites are huge and well spread out. For lunch we opted for the Royal Zamindari Thali - not only was it insta savvy but lip smacking delicious too. Swarup also took us around the property - the highlight of it was the erstwhile Jailbari which is the Games and Recreation Room now, a must see. In the evening there is Sandhya Arati and classic dance performances along with live music. The Rajbari under lights is a all together different vibe. During dinner they also host a large group in the exclusive chamber beside the Piano Room. The Netflix film 'Bulbul' was filmed here. Overall an out of the world heritage experience. It is mind boggling to imagine that this was a dilapidated property which took 10 years to refurbish, they have some black & white pictures around the corridors which tell a story of their own.

Beautiful grounds and ponds to stroll around . Lovely pool to relax around. Lots of choice on the menu of delightful dishes. A getaway heritage venue to escape to. Pretty bar area overlooking the main courtyard. Amazingly we were given an upgrade to one of the heritage suites which was welcome. We enjoyed the classical dancing and music in the evening.

The main pool was being refurbished but thank fully there is a second smaller pool which we could use as swimming was important to us. Only 2 sun loungers though ! Water in shower never got warm but that’s probably normal ..

truly amazing stay, peaceful, beautiful rooms, the staff were incredible. This was a much needed break after an illness - I can’t believe anyone would be disappointed after staying here. Swarup looked after us from start to finish and is a wonderful asset to the hotel. He has passion about his job along with knowledge. However, all the staff are exceptional and we ended staying 2 additional days, dressed in saris and invited to celebrate the marriage rituals from the brides parents. thank you to all, Meggy and Angie xx lovely clean pool too! in fact 20/10 on cleanliness!

The staff were very friendly & helpful. A special mention for Suman Pal, who went out of his way to serve our needs. The bar on the upper level overlooking the central courtyard was very nice but the bartender that served us got a cocktail drink wrong - twice. Prices were reasonable. Food was exceptional, especially the lunch thali. Also the breakfast buffet had a good spread of ethnic & foreign dishes. Overall we were satisfied with our one night's stay & would recommend a visit.

Front desk & administrative staff not very knowledgeable & could be a little more helpful. For a high end property their communications & reservations system leaves a lot to be desired. Telephones not properly manned. Even after we completed our stay & had left the resort we kept getting emails requesting deposit payment to secure our booking. Other than within the resort grounds there was nothing much to do.. Strolling around the locality not very nice either.

Food was amazing, so were the rooms and environment. A bit of Cultural entertainment in the evening was a good touch, much appreciated.

check in process needs to be better. payments that I'd made earlier (to secure our booking), were not in their system. I had to supply the transaction details again. I had had extensive discussions with Ricarda the front desk of the property, yet when i arrived, I had to remind the the clerk checking us in, of the payment alreay made , of the special requests i had made for my handicapped sister, etc. I would not have expected these kind of gaps in information flow, from a resort that is charging pretty much 5 star rates.

Food, Location, property

Service was not similar to what i have experienced in my 1st visit , and the cost food and other items has increased significantly, which is not justified compared to best place to eat in Kolkata , outside seating arrangement is not up to mark, my earlier visit i saw there is an ample space to move around, now those space is used to build new rooms. they should buy near by land to expand rather than utilized the little available space within the property.

I loved the palace, the ambience, overall my stay there. Tanmay, Sumon, Monish, Bilash, Dona, Nibedita, Debopriyo and Shantanu made our trip fabulous with their support (sorry if I forgot any names). The food is great but there should be an option to order less, else the portion is too large if I have to order n pay for one! Thanks Team Rajbari, my mom loved it too! Cheers, Uttiya (Tiya) :-)

O have summed it up all above.

Friendly staff; magnificent edifice and compound; sumptuous food; and service with a smile that goes above and beyond….

The carrom board in the ‘Jail Khana’ is damaged as are the discs and Striker. The whole set ought to be replaced at once. Would recommend furnishing every room with an umbrella.
