The location is the best part as its very close to Dasvamedh Ghat and falls right in centre of 84ghats of Varanasi. mostly from all river view rooms you can see all ghats. The staff here is very decent, helpful and disciplned. The property is right at the Ghat so one can not reach by car/taxi but the staff will pick you from the nearest point and the walk itself gives you the complete feel of Varanasi, My grany was with us on this trip the hotel arranged 2 wheeler pick up and drop for her with a good expirienced rider. really thank full to hotel for this. They also have wheelchair assistance. Food served is freshly made on order and tasted very good. for us it was very similar to our home made food, really liked it. The rooms and washrooms are clean, but do not expect a luxurious stay. Can say this hotel is one of the best if you wanna stay on Ghats of Varanasi at a reasonable prize and good expirience.

You DEFINITELY NEED TO COLLECT your visitors from the road. I was dumped in the middle of Varanasi and told to walk alone to hotel. This is not OK on any level. The property is nowhere near the road. It is a scarey walk through windey back alleyways that have no signage from the road. I was repeatedly hassled by many men. Very dangerous.

The view from my room was just wonderful. Staff are great, included breakfast is fine for a 2 star. Would stay again for sure as the view makes up for everything.

Basic hotel in a wonderful location. High price for what the room Is but the view is what you're paying for.

I booked Dwivedi Palace for a one-night stay in Varanasi. Since I was only there for one night, I wanted a place very near the river and the ghats, since that's what I most wanted to see. The hotel is in a wonderful location right on the river. The room was a bit smaller than I thought it looked in the photos, but it was perfectly adequate for my son and myself. The staff was very gracious and helpful and the food was quite good. We had a room with a balcony and it offered great views of the Ganges.

It was a tiny bit confusing to get to, but that's just the nature of old Varanasi. It's all a bit confusing! They do have good signage, however, which is helpful.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Dwivedi. We came from another area of Varanasi and wished we had spent all of our five nights here instead of the other area. The river view is fantastic. We stayed just after the monsoons, so the river was very high. Lots of birds! Some really lovely little green parrots visited our balcony. The area is quiet (relatively speaking) and the shopkeepers nearby are friendly and aren't pushy. It's just a great little hotel and a fantastic location with great staff!

The breakfast room. The only real negative was the absolutely boiling hot breakfast room. We ordered breakfast to our room the second morning we stayed because there's just no way to eat in there when it's already 31° at 8:30 am

The location is absolutely amazing, im a photographer and location is always one of the main criteria’s for booking a property. Since the river levels were high, one couldn’t access the property from the ghats which would have made it easier to reach but the charm of walking around the lanes of Banaras is fun by itself. However these are narrow and busy lanes so one should be comfortable with walking. The property has a beautiful terrace overlooking the river and one can spend hours at this place enjoying the views. The wifi works well and that’s always helpful. The staff is very accommodative and courteous and they try their best to make sure that you have a good experience. They also recommended a good guide to me who helped me explore the city in a beautiful way. Their service is quick. However this is a old heritage property which has its own nuances in terms of maintenance

The food at the restaurant ain’t something which I really enjoyed, as long as you keep your dishes simple to something like Khichdi / Yellow Daal - it’s fine but rest of the stuff lacked taste. The washroom next to the restaurant is dirty and needs maintenance. However the staff in the restaurant are very nice and they are good in service. It’s only the cooks which need some training.

This hotel is all about the location - it's right on the river and one can spend hours sitting and watching. I throughly enjoyed the access to everything being so close. I visited to restaurant for breakfast twice and the india breakfast was excellent and the people there are attentive.

Just the sense of clean. It's an older building, so of course it is not new. Because of the location and age, it is worth the money. Just do not expect a spotless place

The entire staff is wonderful, professional, helpful & attentive. I stayed for quite some time & like very much my room especially the world class view overlooking The Ganges. Away from the hyperactivity of this bustling city is of huge benefit as finding even a relatively quiet place here is quite a challenge. The rooftop restaurant offers breakfast, lunch & dinner so was excellent to just have to pop upstairs for meals.

Not at all particular to this property but roaming wild dogs at night barking at odd hours can be a nuisance as this is a situation found throughout Varanasi & most cities in India. So a white noise sound machine is an important part of my travel kit & I highly recommend this to you.

The most attractive point of this hotel is its location. You can get a full view from the Ganges from the balcony of your room. And the staff is very kind and supportive.

Because of the location of this hotel, you need to walk a long way in the maze of old city Varanasi to reach the hotel. Car can't come into the hotel ( because the maze of Varanasi is too narrow) . So even you take a Uber, they can't bring you to the hotel. I recommend you the hotel's pick up service I used. They pick me up by car at the airport, and later I changed to the motorbike of the hotel staff.

Location is A1 for doing all the boat tours and Ghat exploration. The restaurant, complimentary breakfast and staff are also all exceptional, amazing service, especially the man running the restaurant he was the best. The room is basic, and bathroom is a wet room, shower is hot water but not amazing - but it’s clean and tidy, and for the price and age of building; cannot complain at all. Reallly great value for money!

Bathroom is the only thing that could be a little better to improve overall.
