Wonderful hotel immersed in the nature of Munduk. The structure is very well kept, the bungalow we stayed in was facing the tropical jungle and the secret waterfall. We loved the hammock to lie on with blankets and cushions, listening to the sounds of animals. The beds were extremely comfortable, we had an amazing sleep. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and high quality. The staff was nice and helpful. We did not find any animal of bug, which we appreciated, although it could be expected! I’d definitely recommend!

A minor remark - but they could start partnering with taxi drivers to be able to offer their guests pick-up / drop-offs, given that the hotel is quite remote.

Gumi Ayu EcoHotel was by far the most pleasant and amazing place that we stayed in in Bali. The hotel is placed on a small hill and the little „treehouses“ are surrounded by trees, a waterfall, and lots of nature. The rooms are very clean and cozy and our room came with a balcony, outdoor bathtub and even a little hammock to chill in. The views from the restaurant are amazing (especially when you catch a sunset) and the breakfast as well as lunch and dinner they serve there is very delicious. Nevertheless, the best part about our stay was the friendly and helpful staff. From always asking about our day and wellbeing to providing great tips, organizing trips, arranging take-away breakfast or even helping me get back something I forgot - the team is just great! Thank you again for making our stay so unforgettable.

Gumi Ayu exceeded all of our expectations - for the price we paid, we were not expecting such a high level of cleanliness and service. The room itself was super cool with the most magical view of the jungle and waterfall. The outside bathroom was great, no issues with bugs and really clean. The restaurant/lobby has an even better view and we spent a lot of time chilling here and eating their delicious food. Huge thanks to Eva and Nita who were amazing throughout our stay. We did the Balinese cooking class in their kitchen which was a once in a lifetime experience. Three chefs and just the two of us. We made so much food and they set it up as a little banquet for us to enjoy in the restaurant afterwards. All for 400k - priceless. Thank you to all staff at Gumi Ayu for an unforgettable stay with you.

The hospitality of this place goes extra mile, the person who runs the place cannot be more helpful and more welcoming. They truly try to make you have the best experience. The cottages are like a dream, so beautiful and well maintained as well as cleaned. You are really surrounded by the beauty of nature but still feel safe. The food of this places is top notch, from breakfast to lunch and dinner, they have different menus and different options to choose from and everything is fresh, homemade and so tasty. This is the perfect place to have a completely disconnection, surrounded by so many beautiful waterfalls, you can actually hear one from the place.

Nothing, everything was absolutely perfect.

The reception/eating room is located in a marvelous environment with wide view on the mountains covered in tropical vegetation, at which one could glance for hours. Similarly the rooms, built predominantly from bamboo/wood, are located downhill and fiit perfectly in the same ydillic surroundings and our room even gave view on a waterfall, which can be accessed from the hotel if you are slightly adventerous. The benefit here: it is not a very touristic waterfall so you can find peace and quite here and a refreshing dive in the water. The host(s) are very friendly and will help you determine what to do next, whether that is sightseeing, eating or arranging transportation. Not to forget: the food was excellent, especially for diner, and the cocktails are of outstanding quality for the price

Nothing. You have to do some stairs from your room back to the top, but even for moving your luggage, the staff gave it their all.

Amazing place to relax, get away from it all and just enjoy the little things in live. The views from the hotel and the surroundings are breathtaking. The service was 10/10 all the staff were so friendly and helpful. If you are worried about bugs, mosquitos etc you can ask them to provide you with a mosquito net. The food they served, was delicious and all locally sourced in an ecological way. We booked a trekking tour with them as well and genuinely had the best morning learning about Munduk's amazing landscape. After going for a swim under the twin waterfalls. We definitely recommend Gumi Ayu if you are looking for a relaxing and quieter few days.

Our room unfortunately did not have the greatest view as it was located in front of the massage hut. The hot water is limited (15/20min), so if you enjoy extra extra long hot showers this will not be the place for you.

Nita , gandya and the entire staff was amazing. They actually were so genuine and cared about us. Small things like fixing helmet, to making sure the road is clear for us to go, to ensuring we had a pleasant day... The staff went over and beyond their roles. The food was incredible. We actually did not go anywhere else for dinner and lunch and only ate at Gumi Ayu. Turmeric rice with curry was heavenly. Lovely location and weather made the overall stay one of the best stays ever.

There was a spider in the washroom but i know it was a jungle. So it's absolutely expected:) nothing else otherwise.

Amazing staff that were super helpful all throughout our stay. Provided everything we could think of needing - hot water bottles, water refill in room, help with organising! - breakfast and dinner were delicious too. Helped us arrange transportation to the hotel, and also took us to some sights after our drivers car broke. Truly amazing service!! The room itself was extremely comfortable, and we booked massages which were amazing! The hotel is very beautiful and the area is gorgeous, it was our favourite place in Bali!
