This hotel is paradise - a hidden gem. Every member of staff is ready with a smile or joke, and they truly make sure you are taken care of. An example: Dedi was our butler for the stay, and when he learned we had an early drive to the airport, he prepared breakfast boxes for us to take on the road, including the pineapple juice we loved. Truly exceptional ❤️ The hotel is buried in the mountains with an incredible, unbroken view of the northwest coast - sunsets are particularly stunning. Both restaurants on site also offer excellent Balinese food (and other dishes for those less adventurous - but really recommend the local food!) We stayed in the villa with its own perpendicular pool - highly recommend. In short, we really fell in love with this place and would recommend to anyone ☺️

It is a far drive from the airport - but worthwhile!

This is a fabulous place to stay. Private rooms, great staff, nice food, pool and views. Plenty of activities to choose from both complimentary and paid. We loved the yoga and took a car to walk the Munduk Waterfalls which was nice. It was our wedding anniversary and the staff made us feel very special.

The Hotel is located on the top of the mountain, very nice weather and stunning view. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, always going extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The food was good enough but not wow and quite expensive for what you can get. The villa we had was impressive, with a hot tub, super comfortable bed, tea & coffee, fruits, water....it was just perfect. We had some interesting activities within the resort: kite making, coffee plantation tour where we learned how they harvest the coffee, candles and bracelets making. We also had a lot of fun with Giri from Sustainability, who explained us how they recycle the plastic and help the community in the region. It's impressive what they can do out of recycle plastic and we could actually go in their manufactory so Giri can explain the entire procces of reusing the plastic to create different furniture objects.

It's hard to say what we didn't like. Maybe the location is far from everything and the taxi drivers will not come. Therefore, take into consideration to spend there not that many nights so you won't get bored. The Resort is perfect for relaxation in the nature.

How each room was very private. You had your own space. The pools in the main area were amazing. The private huts for dinner were great.The staff were always very friendly and helpful.

No water flasks in the room. They need to consider how to be sustainable but provide water that you can take on a walk. We should have had our own water containers. Staying a long time a shuttle bus to a local Warung partner would be good for a different type of dinner.

Munduk Resort exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish crafted to perfection using fresh, local ingredients. The variety of activities available is impressive – from yoga sessions and bracelet making to planting experiences and an enriching coffee plantation tour. There’s truly something for everyone, and each activity is thoughtfully curated to create lasting memories. A special thanks to Leo, Risna, and Putru for their incredible hospitality. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication made our stay truly exceptional. Big vouch for the team! Munduk Resort is the perfect destination for a relaxing and adventurous retreat. Highly recommended!

It was raining too much, nothing the property can do about it though

Wow! This place is heaven! The view quite literally is from the jaw dropping infinity pools and jacuzzi! Loved the whole resort concept. Especially the vision to ensure everything is locally sourced, and that the team are too!! extraordinary service levels, thank you so much for looking after me and the complimentary spa experience! Loved the horse stables, vegetables gardens, coffee plantation tour and tasting, star gazing, fire pit and marsh mellows. Breakfasts were fantastic - but most of all its the staff working as one big team ! So good I stayed a 5th night

Perhaps wider choice of meals

Luxury suite - amazing room, indoor/outdoor shower and huge bath. Everything was spotless. Lots of coffee options in room. Night time treats. Huuuge bed. Good selection of programmes and activities. Always repeated orders and asked about allergies or dietary requirements. No pressure to limit ordering breakfast. Not full or influencers and limits to when and where people take photographs was good.

No air con (environmental reasons) made it difficult to sleep. Gym lacking. Although staff are extremely polite and attentive it comes across a little robotic and subservient. The males on the sunset bar had the most personality and could hold a chatty conversation but other staff felt a bit scripted and limited to ‘how are you?, yes please, so sorry’ and awkward laughs. Some guests may like this, especially those with butlers but we just prefer staff with personality who we can laugh and joke with.

room was lovely, pool was great. spa amazing too. Food very good. Quiet relaxing stay.

The only issue with this place, which is nothing to do with the hotel, is the incessant photographs from other guests on the pool. Having your breakfast while a couple is doing a cringey 20 minute photoshoot 5 metres next to you is so awkward (check geotag on Instagram, it’s relentless and speaks to other places in Bali). If the hotel could put a no photo hour at least while people are eating that would be perfect

This place was amazing! It was so great that we did not even leave the property, because it had so much to offer! The activities were fun, informative, and led by amazing staff members. Special shout out to Elman who led us on a very cool sustainability tour, and he also helped us with wood carving. Another shout out to his partner (whose name I'm forgetting), who also helped us with wood-carving and candle making. Those were really great experiences. The cooking class was great, and we go so much more amazing food than we thought (we ended up skipping dinner because it was a full-on three course meal)! Beautiful property, beautiful pools, beautiful rooms, amazing experience!

The location is very remote and takes a while to get to. But it didn't matter for us because we stayed on property for our entire 3-night stay and had plenty to do!
