It is the best hotel we have ever stayed!!Te villa with private pool is spectacular,no detail is missing. Beautiful!!The attention of all the staff is incredible.The breakfast and the dishes we ordered for dinner were delicious. It is not in the center of Ubud but the resort has a free transfer very frequently.It is great!!.Agust was our guide, definitely the Best guide we could have. He took us yo the main places of the island and explained everything very well. He is a Crack!!We hope to return to Purana soon!!Thank team Maaaaaadre Miiiia!!

Nothing to say. Everything was Perfect!!

We stayed at one of the villas with a private pool for 6 nights to kick off our Honeymoon. Which means we also got the Honeymoon package. The villa was beautiful and so was the pool. The staff were amazing making this special trip just outstanding. The candle light dinner by the pool and flower arrangements were something out of a movie! Extra thanks to Yannik who picked us up from the airport and was very helpful with arranging activities and bookings during our stay. August was also the perfect tour guide when we went on one of the recommended half day tours. The yoga and spa was also very nice, located and the sister hotel Purana suites. Just 5 minutes by car and the staff drive you there for any classes/treatments. The location for us was ideal. Hidden away in a quiet secluded little paradise and the the free shuttle bus to easily get into to Ubud as much or as little as you want. I highly recommend this hotel!

Everything from the staff, food, villa, location and services were exceptional. Best accomodation we've had during our travels. The staff made us feel very welcome, they remembered our names and all little requests. They always kindly ask when you leave if they can clean your villa. The food at the accomodation is also very good quality and tasty, breakfast comes to your villa at the preferred time according to what you order a day before. For dinners there's also a good selection for reasonable prices, no need to eat out. The villa with the private pool which we had was superb, very clean every day and you have all the privacy you need. The bed was also very comfy with multiple soft pillows. You can have complimentary yoga class and afternoon tea/coffee with cake also in the villa, which was even more magical during rainy weather. Location is not far from Ubud center, 15-40 mins (according to traffic) with a complimentary hotel shuttle or 30 mins walking. It's a quiet location away from the typical rush in Ubud, great if you want to listen to the nature instead of people/motorbikes/cars.

You have to be comfortable with hearing insects, frogs, geckos and such noises all night. The geckos can be very loud and also inside the villa, but atleast they keep the insects out, so no need to be afraid of them :) we got used to it quickly and wasn't an issue for us. Against mosquitos they provide enough repellents, but during our whole 5 days stay I encountered maybe only 5 in total (not inside), which is not bad at all.

Purana Boutique Resort is a lovely oasis of calm and tranquility on a quiet side street away from the hustle and crazy traffic of central Ubud a few hundred metres away. We had a beautiful villa for four nights with a very clean private pool, semi-outside bathroom and a really comfortable bed with (romantic) mosquito netting. The small restaurant offered a great range of Indonesian, Japanese, Indian and Western food, although we stuck to the excellent Indonesian menu and it was perfect every time. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and efficient and it’s unfair on the excellent chefs and cleaners (who we didn’t get to see) to name just the front of house staff, but they were so happy and helpful - thank you to Yannik, the smiling waitresses Ajeng (hope I spelt it right) and Della, and the informative and cheerful driver and operations manager Wayan Agus, along with the others whose names I forgot to note.

We loved everything about Purana but sadly Ubud is not the quiet, tranquil place it was when we were last there 30-years ago. It’s become overcrowded with hotels and shops and the traffic is a constant noisy jam of cars, motorbikes and scooters - it’s quicker to walk than go by car, although there are some quiet backstreets near Purana away from the main roads. It was a relief each time to get back inside the peace and calm of the resort and relax in our private pool and eat the wonderful food.

Everything about this place is perfect and so welcoming that you feel like it is your second home. From check-in to check-out it was made sure 24/7 that we had everything we needed. The staff is so nice and welcoming and make you feel so comfortable. They have an eye for detail and perfection and everything in our villa was very clean. The rooms are really beautiful and you have a lot of privacy in your own villa which we enjoyed. It is very quiet - so perfect for relaxing but not too far away from ubud centre. The food is really good too (the best we had in ubud). We are coming again, thank you for the perfect stay!

Everything was perfect!

I liked everything. Literally. I am still, four weeks later, driving all my friends back in the UK crazy because I won't shut up about Bali and about the Purana in particular. If you are looking for an amazing stay in an amazing resort with amazing people, you will find the Purana to be a kind of heaven on earth, just as I did. The villa was more than I could have hoped for. The food was wonderful. The location was perfect and the assistance and options provided by Purana for getting into town and for exploring Ubud were convenient and never any trouble. I had several massages while staying in Purana - I can't recommend them highly enough and the masseuse - I think her name was Widi - was amazing and you should ask for her. And that note - my main note and reason for writing this review is the staff. All of them. The resort was the best place I've ever stayed, but the staff were very special. I read reviews when booking my trip and I saw that people noted how lovely the staff were and so I expected warmth and efficiency. I didn't expect to meet some of the loveliest people I have ever had the pleasure to come into contact with. This went beyond good customer service and it is a reflection of the staff as people - they are kind, curious, enthusiastic, determined to help in any way they can, and just a pleasure to be around and they made my stay what it was. There was no weak link - they were all wonderful, but I must pick out two people in particular in the hope that they are suitably rewarded by their employer with HUGE bonuses or raises! Yannik was a constant during my stay. He picked me up from the airport and dropped me in Semanyak when I left. My interactions with him during my week were an absolute joy. And I'm not 100% certain how to spell the lady's name, but it is pronounced Cha Cha and she was so incredibly helpful and kind. If you're going to Ubud, stay at the Purana, and if you see Yannik and Cha Cha, please give them my best!

Everything about our 8-day stay at Purana Boutique Resort was exceptional. STAFF: The staff and their hospitality at Purana Boutique Resort are beyond compare and are the friendliest and most attentive people I have ever met. They brought a personal touch to every interaction and they made our stay an absolute delight. Nothing was too much trouble and we really felt like extended family - the absolute highlight was being invited to attend a traditional wedding ceremony with them. ACCOMMODATION: Our one bedroom villa with private pool was a little oasis with all the privacy you could ask for. The room was clean and well maintained, the furnishings and bed comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The outdoor living area was well shaded and furnished with a dining table, arm chairs and sun loungers and made it a really comfortable area to relax in. The pool was much larger that I was expecting, very clean and surrounded by a gorgeous tropical garden and a touch of luxury that made the stay special. DINING: The breakfast menu was extensive, offering a wide selection of fresh fruits, traditional Indonesian, Western, or Indian breakfast choices. The all day dining and drinks menu was also extensive, offering Western, Indonesian, Japanese and Indian food choices as well as a wide selection of cocktails. The quality of the food was very good, everything was exceptionally well priced and very delicious. ACTIVITIES: We utilised the hotel shuttle most days to go into Ubud, returning at a prearranged time. We also did the hotel's cooking class and learnt how to prepare a variety of traditional Balinese dishes including a seafood soup, chicken and jackfruit curry, fish BBQ in banana leaf, and a banana dessert. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked to return next year.

We are a large family and booked 3 rooms, a villa with private pool, and 2 twin rooms. The twins were great around the main pool, and the family gatherings centered around the villa's outdoor area and private pool. The breakfast options where fantastic, fresh and served at the time of your choosing in the front of house area or in the rooms. The chef was great and came out for a chat, and the boutique runs a shuttle to ubud centre (coco supermarket) every 2 hours. The bed and pillows super comfy, and shower and bath was divine, and we took advantage of the Purana Hotel which is closer to town centre and has an excellent spa at reasonable prices. The cost of food at the Purana Boutique was also very reasonable and quality excellent. Staff are amazing!

No issues at all, but there is a new development adjacent that looks down into the villas, which has been screened off it would be worth asking about. The boutique absolutely prides itself on seclusion and private enjoyment so i don't expect you will have an issue.

The one bedroom pool villa was incredibly spacious, with a huge patio, a large pool, a big room, and plenty of storage. Everything was very comfortable and luxurious, and the hotel staff were absolutely amazing. The shuttle to the center of Ubud is very convenient and it drops you right near the Sacred Monkey Forest. Sadly, the attractions in Ubud are not located near one another, so you'll need to figure out other ways to get around. While a bit on the pricier side, this hotel is 100% worth the money and my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Amazing attention to detail and lots of personalised touches. Special thank you for the kids presents, very much appreciated. All staff were outstanding and we could not have expected anymore. Breakfast in the outdoor area was a special touch also. Location was good for our family, quiet and most important felt safe and secure. Cleanliness was 10/10. Would 100% recommend for families but would be ideal for couples/solo travellers also. Arya helped us a lot with planning and trips and was good with all the kids, as were all staff. A big thank you to the team at Purana, from the Duncan’s 👍
