The staff was very friendly and was happy to assist with renting a scooter or transfer to the next hotel. The scenery in the middle of the rice fields is amazing. There are pretty awesome local singers or balenese dancers every evening in the restaurant to entertain the guests.

Renting a scooter or a taxi is a must to go somewhere (one would do that probably anyway to make daytrips). Our first room had a very unpleasand smell but they instantly relocated us and the second room was ok. The food was good but very expensive compared to other restaurants in Bali. You have to order the beakfast the evening before including the time you want to have it. Despite that you wait about half an hour for it in the morning.

We truly had an amazing stay at the Sun of Granary. The location is providing all the elements of a ritual paradise; in the middle of the ricefields, surrounded by the all the green nature Ubud provedes. Besides that: - Room: we faced the pool from the second floor with a stunning view over the palm - and banana trees. Room was clean, with a daily cleaning service. - Activities: the resort is arranging all kinds of activities (complimentary or extra fee). We did a complimentary morning walk across the local ricefields. Brilliant host Ade told us everything about the surrounded ricefields, proces of making rice and she showed even the ricefield of her family. Amazing personal touch. Besides this, we took a wonderful massage at the spa: recommended! - Restaurant: daily shows are being organized during dinner. Balinese dance, acoustic singer, saxophonist. Meals are great of taste - from typical Indonesian to international dishes. At two nights, Sudi has served us tremendously. Having an amazing smoothiebowl facing the ricefields was something we loved every single morning during breakfast. - Service: the resort deserves a 10 on service. A couple examples. At a certain evening we asked brilliant host Koki how we can easily travel to three highlights the next day. Within 30 minutes on that same night, he has set up a complete day trip towards our desired places with a personal driver, including (cold) soft drinks on board. Other example: we faced issues traveling from Ubud to Padangbai to get the boat to Gili. Koki fixed it and arranged a personal driver that was waiting for us at 05.30 am (!!) with a breakfast box for us during the long ride. Truly amazing. Most importantly, the staff is having a lot of fun in making guests ultimately comfortable during their stay. Koki, Tama, Fuji, Ade and Sudi Made our stay unforgettable. Keep up the good work!

However, there is always room for improvement: - Bathroom: power of the shower is not very strong, seems to be a quick fix in our opinion. - Water: guest from Europe can’t drink the water from the tap, so we must have mineral water. Only a small bottle was complimentary, they must be bought in the restaurant. Tip: make large bottles of water complimentary, so that every guests can brush their teeth without worries. :)

The villa with private pool, beautiful room, huge bath tub etc was stunning and exceeded our expectation. We were in the pool most of the time :)The vibe of the resort nestled amidst the beautiful paddy fields enhances the stay experience. The food is another big plus. The resort has everything for ur relaxing and memorable stay.. You can take morning walk and see the beautiful sunrise in the rice fields… it is lovely. The staff is extremely hospitable and take care of you nicely.

There could have been more breakfast options for vegetarians The location is 9km from the main Ubud market which kind of makes it secluded… but since the resort is so amazing that u forget it once u enter the resort…

The hotel is situated a little away from the main tourist areas, but just a short cab ride away. The hotel arranges free shuttles into town every day and pickup from town back to the hotel. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The hotel is situated amongst the paddy fields and the village. The food was excellent. They have a restaurant that serves lunch, dinner and tea (breakfast was included in our stay). They are very conscious of allergies and dietary restrictions which is plus. Our room was fantastic. It was spacious and comfortable and a treat to be in. We had our own balcony as well. Not that not all rooms are the same, but I will go out on a limb and say that whatever room you stay in will be more than comfy. The staff was the highlight. They were lovely and super accommodating and they took excellent care of us. Make sure to have breakfast on the balcony of the restaurant. The view is gorgeous and perfectly compliments the delicious food. They offer massages as well. We had their 90-min. heavenly massage which wonderfully relaxing. Try and have dinner at the restaurant if possible. Not only for the great food, but they have different live performances every night, and during our stay, none of them disappointed.

Nothing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. This was our first point of stay in Bali and set the bar for every other place we stayed subsequently.

Very nice looking and peaceful resort in the middle of rice fields. Good facilities, even has a small gym (1 treadmill and 2 bikes). Very good shuttle service to and from Ubud, which was on time the 2 times we used it.

I had a feeling there was not enough staff, which meant the people working were not able to stay on top of things. We had to check in over an hour late because our room wasn't ready and waited for our meals for quite a long time both times we went to the restaurant. We also find it a little odd that you have to pick your breakfast the day before. Location is a little far from Ubud and only accessible by a small road, apps like grab or gojek might charge more for this reason (they did with us).

The beds and pillows were comfy. Aircon worked well. The service was excellent. The staff were always so friendly and super helpful. They had a bunch of Indonesian and Western food on the menu which was nice and yummy. We also had the floating breakfast which was a cool add on. Great place to stay if you wanted to be out of the hustle and bustle of the centre. The free shuttle to and from the centre was also a nice option. Would be great if they offered a later pick up. Last pick up I believe is 5:30pm which is too early for dinner. They offered plenty of free and optional activities during our stay which was nice. Also, they had the fluffiest dog which was the sweetest thing.

The room smelt weird our entire stay. Couldn't put our finger on it but it was always there. There was no shower door so the bathroom floor would be pretty wet after showers. Also the water pressure on the handheld shower head was pretty weak. The rainwater head was fine though. The location was pretty far from Ubud Centre (30 min drive) but that's our fault for not checking. The Wi-Fi was great when we first checked in but as more guests arrived, the slower it got.

Firstly, the facilities are amazing. If you're wanting a quiet, tranquil getaway with your loved one or family, this is the place to stay. The resort has everything you need from great food to spa to beautiful villas with their own private pool. Can't fault the cleanliness, with the cleaners attending to the rooms daily. Beautiful views of the rice fields from the restaurant. Only a 30 minute drive into central Ubud, meaning you get to enjoy the best of both. Everything you need and more. Amazing facilities mean nothing without an amazing team of people, and the team are amazing. Welcoming, kind, and genuine individuals who always made an effort to strike up a conversation and help when needed. They're like one big family, and we were honestly sad to say our goodbyes. Finally, the resort offers a number of paid extras. We would highly recommend the romantic dinner, with a special menu and food served at your villa by the team. This made for a very special night for my partner and I, and the chef and team did not disappoint. Beautiful food, thoughtful decorations and all in all a beautiful experience. 10/10. Book this resort, you won't regret it. We'll be back for sure.

There was nothing that we didn't like. Everything delivered and more. Nothing more to say.

We stayed for 3 nights at Sun at Granary and it was great. All staff are lovely and very friendly. The rice terrace views from the restaurant are amazing. Quiet location. We really appreciated the complimentary activities like kite making. Complimentary afternoon tea is a nice touch and the best one we’ve ever had on holiday. The breakfast was amazing every single morning (the pancakes are the best). All food is actually very nice. Lovely room, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. Great size swimming pool and pool area.

Wifi isn't the best. Ordering breakfast the night before was a slight annoyance. Very soft pillows. Price of scooters (100k for small) most expensive we’ve come across whilst being in Bali. Price of soft drinks (36k for a coke). Tip - Go to a shop beforehand and get them for 10k each instead.

We stayed in their heavenly suite (kupu kupu) and we fell in love with the place. I'll leave here a few things that I consider important when looking for accomodations: - Room and balcony - spacious, beautiful, very clean - Bed and pillows - super comfortable. - Internet - ok. We worked from there 5 days, it has some glitches sometimes but overall it's ok. - View - breath taking. They are basically in the middle of a rice field surrounded by palm trees. We loved it! - AC - doing its job amazingly. - Outdoor bathtub - super spacious, super cozy. If you go with your significant other, just try it, you won't regret it. - Pool - Very nice. If you go in the morning (10-12) you'll have it all to yourself. - Food - they have for breakfast something called Rainbow (something something) vermicelli noodles with vegetables and egg - delicious! Oh and their welcome juice (Holly Fresh) it's something you'll definitely order again.

They have some sort of device with repellent sound (I don't really know how to describe it) but It's meant to keep out the unwanted "visitors" (I think). It makes a noise similar with a bird, repetitive. It is pretty disturbing especially in the night time but I know it's there with a purpose.. so it shouldn't stop you from visiting this place, but it's important to know that it's there.

The Sun of Granary was a absolute treat. The location was so beautiful and tranquil. I was visiting with my mum and we stayed in their two room villa with the private pool. We felt so relaxed and rooms were made up beautifully. the bathrooms were fully equipped and had all the extra touches. The staff at this resort are beyond exceptional and show their guests kindness and provide five star service at all times. I wanted to especially mention Fuji, who greeted us at the front desk on our first day and will remain a friend beyond our holiday. The location is secluded and private which is exactly why we chose it. We ate and drank at restaurant most days and their food was beautiful. The noodles and chicken broth is on another level! Given the resort is not close to Ubud centre they offer a lot of great in-house services, including a great spa, live music, traditional Balinese dances, and complimentary activities like morning yoga and local walks through the rice fields and local village. I would highly recommend the walk as you get a real taste of Ubud and their culture and lifestyle. If you do want to get into the centre or go on a tour they have plenty of options to book a driver or free shuttle bus transfers at different times.
