A delightfully relaxing, warm and friendly place to stay. Started with a warm welcome from the host, Caroline and we checked in just in time to grab a coffee and fresh chocolate brownies, baked to perfection, from the lovely Cafe downstairs. Room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. Great coffee, full breakfast with brown soda bread, fresh from the oven. My son loved his granola, fruit and the home made compote. His 'Second favourite breakfast ever', after Belgian waffles. :-) The complimentary chocolate brownies for the onward journey, were the icing on the cake of a joyful experience. Thank you

Very well stocked upstairs kitchen for guest use An open fire in the sitting room.Hostess with the mostest, so welcoming, used our names when greeting us and was very welcoming. We also had a delicious breakfast. We enjoyed the pub next door and felt it was a very traditional Irish little village. I would love to spend another night in Gordon's.

As a married couple, we were mot expecting 2 single beds, that may have been a mistake on my part when I was booking the room. However we both slept very well.

Gordon guesthouse was fantastic! Caroline was really nice and welcoming. The location was quiet and peaceful, just perfect. The place was spotless, and everything you could need was provided. There were tea, coffee, cookies, and other snacks available. The breakfast was amazing, with a full Irish breakfast that was delicious. Everything about our stay was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and delightful stay.

Nice laid back accommodation in a quiet rural / peaceful setting. Very good breakfast in the Café below the accommodation in what was once an old Village Pub. Parking right out the front door.

Unusual not to have a tv in the room / bedroom - (but there was a guest lounge / sitting room with a tv set that you can avail off - which I did not personally avail off) The hand basin in the en-suite bathroom in a most unusual place and not user friendly - but functional none the less.

good location if you want to get a feel for the country and away from the cities. Liked the quirky , cozy restaurant and accommodation. Lovely staff and they even gave me one of the books they have there that I started reading! The pub is basically next door.

I Felt a bit worried that my car had be parked in the main road on the pavement. I heard someone talk about my car soon after I walked in. At least it was in sight from the bedroom. No tv. I was on my own and had to entertain myself on the laptop. I didn't feel like going to the pub later. It only opened at 5.

I was met with the friendliest of Galway welcomes by Caroline and it was very much appreciated. She was very helpful and chatty and made me feel at home straight away. The property is very clean and tidy with great detail paid to the selection of framed art everywhere. The breakfast was outstanding and the menu choice was exceptional. Caroline is so welcoming it's like you're staying with a friend and her down-to-earth outlook and dry wit is like a breath of fresh air in today's formal and standoffish world.

Would have been good if I had to stay another couple of nights!

A magical place. This business has been built in love and love is still in abundance here. It is evident in the detail of the decor and in the manner of the hosts. It's in the way the coffee and food is prepared and served, in the way locals and tourists alike visit for a healthy dose. Great job!

The was nothing I didn't like unless I'm being pernickerty: room 1 has a little more scope for shelves and hooks. The multisocket, although very handy should probably be on the back wall, not between beds. In fact, sockets should be plumbed in. Listen, I loved the place. Just trying to be helpful and see things through the eyes of future guests.

Gorgeous location with lovely comfy beds & absolutley fantastic breakfast. Will definitley stay again. Caroline is pleasant & helpful very friendly staff at Gordons. Quiet & cosy, peaceful location outside Loughrea. There is a kitchenette well equipped with delph & microwave/ toaster etc which was helpful. Very welcoming & helpful with directions & information. We loved it!

I didnt realise it was not in Loughrae itself but its only a 15 minute drive so it was fine. We arrived on a friday after 4 & didnt know she had stopped serving dinner, so that was unfortunate. But will know for next time!

Lovely quaint village and former pub with such alot of character. Caroline is lovely! Make sure you have fuel as the nearest petrol station is 8 miles but you can swim for free in the Shannon 8 miles away too in Portumna.

Its quite near the road and rural farm machinery was very busy harvesting, but that wasn't Caroline's fault.
