Overall very happy with the hotel. Staff done their best to accommodate a vegan diet. Kids loved the time in the pool Eat in the restaurant ( just starters as in our way to a christening) and the food was lovely.

While Breakfast was good , there could have been a few more options to accommodate a vegan diet. There were no non dairy milk options for the cereal . No brown bread. One if my girls would have liked coco pops or pancakes as an option .

We stayed here for a family wedding, stayed 3 nights in total. Hotel was lovely, food in Bar62 was great. The swimming pool was great, also able to use steam room and sauna. Gym had a good amount of equipment. Hotel had beautiful grounds and garden.

The hotel is currently under construction, so depending on what floor your room is you may be woken by builders. Due to the renovations, some rooms (Ground floor and floor 1) have been done up and are gorgeous. However floor 2 hasn’t, rooms are standard but have no aircon and are very very warm. Windows only open a cm.

The staff were fantastic. Really friendly, happy and helpful. We stayed over the Easter weekend and found Easter eggs outside our door on the Sunday morning - what a lovely surprise! There is a little play area in the grounds of the hotel which is great for young kids and also a community playground just up the road next to the library. The gardens are beautifully maintained and I'm sure they would be fantastic to spend some time in on a warm summer's day. Attention to detail was excellent and we loved the little extras for kids - the little gift bag in the room and the rubber ducks and special kids set of soaps in the bathroom. The pool area is really lovely too. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

No complaints whatsoever. They were even doing some renovation work during our stay and it didn't disturb our visit at all. Everything was kept really clean despite the ongoing work. Our room was one of the rooms that hadn't yet been renovated so it will be nice to go back again to stay once the work has been completed. The news rooms look beautiful - we had a peek as we were passing!

The beds were really comfortable, and the room was perfect for our short stay The hotel itself was clean, fresh, and tastefully decorated, and there was a really nice atmosphere there The pool was amazing and so relaxing, a really welcome bonus The young lady at reception was super, polite, and very helpful, as was the barman. My only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer I'm looking forward to staying there again

I was disappointed with the evening meal in the shakers room. I’d invited 4 members to join me there for a meal. Three of which were really lovely. My niece and nephew ordered the Thai curry ( having had it there before) and said it was cold and lacked flavour. We let the waitress know and she said she would tell the chef. We heard no more. I was disappointed as up until then everything about my stay was perfect and any issues were dealt with.

We were given a very quiet room at the end of a long corridor which I always really appreciate. It was spotless clean and the beds were comfy, we had a nice restful sleep. Furniture etc is quite outdated but I understand they're in the process of renovating the rooms. Overall, it's a really nice countryside hotel

The breakfast is way too basic

The breakfast was by far the best my family and I have enjoyed in a long long time. My children loved the waffles at the childrens station. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as it was a busy service and they did their best to find tables for everyone very quickly.

The only slight issue we had was that our room was very warm but we absolutely appreciate it was extremely hot weather when we stayed.

Lovely hotel and setting. Family room very comfortable and appropriate for our needs. Brill facilities at Leisure centre. Hotel spotless. Restaurant food delicious. Breakfast great too. Staff very friendly, obliging and helpful- at reception especially.

Food at bar was not to a very high standard. Burger was covered in Mayonnaise which I didn't recall being on menu. Waiter appeared almost annoyed when I requested a jug of water for second time.

Buffet breakfast was well stocked and they even had bran flakes! Coffee was ok but then getting good coffee anywhere in Ireland seems a challenge. Room was quiet, good size and clean. Good bar with music.

Only bar food during the week and if you are vegan nothing and veggie one option. Room had a well used smell so needed the windows open. Armchair arms needed a clean.

Staff were clearly well trained, warm, friendly and helpful. The leisure facilities were great and all our meals were delicious, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were plenty of sofas and armchairs about the ground floor to eat or drink at if we didn't want to stay in the main bar/restaurant. Watch out for Peter, the impressive cocktail maker and carrier of drinks trays above head 🙂

There is little negative to say here, only personally, I found the duvet too warm and there was no top sheet, so didnt sleep well- I would usually just sleep under a sheet when its warm, but that is such a small thing in comparison to the entire stay which was great
