I enjoyed staying at Carriglea. I liked the location which is near the town but adjacent to the bypass. I was served an excellent breakfast. The orange juice in particular was very good. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked efficiently. The complimentary supply of tea and biscuits in the room was v generous with nice large mugs. I was very pleased that I could bring my small dog to stay in the bedroom. The host was v welcoming and was helpful in recommending places to eat that were dog friendly. Listowel has a beautiful park with a playground and nearby garage selling snacks and coffee. There is also a lovely riverside walk behind the castle.
I would have preferred a downstairs room as I have reluctance to climb stairs and needed to bring the pet out now and then for a brief walk. However this would not deter me from staying there again.

Breakfast was so lovely! Always full before going to work and always had two cups of amazing coffees a glass of orange juice cereal and youghurts were there as well so I could help myself! Shower was hot and powerful. Room was cosy and warm I was never cold and I’m a cold person. Beds were super comfortable as well like sleeping in my own bed best nights sleep. Jam and butter always available and a variety of different sauces and spreads. The location is perfect walking distance to town and shops as well and regarding noise levels there was no noise I didn’t wake up once.
Nothing everything was perfect.

Where do I start? We loved our stay in Listowel and many of our good memories and stories from our Irish holiday stem from there and, especially, our B’n’B host. Listowel is handy for exploring Kerry and across the Shannon into Clare, and Carriglea is perfectly located within walking distance of the town and all its attractions, whilst situated in a peaceful spot. Our room was immaculate, as is the whole house: bright and spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfasts immensely, appreciating the lovely fresh fruit salads and homemade muesli, along with the company of our fellow guests. Above all, it was our wonderful host, Aoife, who made our stay so enjoyable. It’s a cliché, but she really was a mine of information, about the town and its environs, its history and heritage, where to visit and where to eat and drink. We enjoyed the monorail and the river walk, a moment of reflection in the famine memorial graveyard, the buildings of historic interest and the museum featuring well known local writers. Each of the many bars serves up its own particular ambience and character, whether it be buzzing with conversation or live music, tasty food, a match or race on tv, but always with a friendly welcome and a good pint of Guinness. We would highly recommend Carriglea, but we have it from the horse’s mouth that you have to book well ahead, especially for the Listowel Races.

Only a short walk into town centre and far away enough to be quite from an traffic and people noise at night.
I liked it very much as it suited my needs very well. I didn’t want to spend time in the accommodation sitting around as I wanted to spend my time seeing the outdoors in Kerry. Only note is the rooms are not triple beds but they do sleep 3 people with a double bed and a single bed.

Spent the week there while catching up with family in Kerry. The full Irish breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. All were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. The room, bathroom, dining were very clean and pleasant. We will be booking again next time we visit Listowel.

Aoife was very friendly and personable, with good advice about local places and directions. She was very available when needed. Easy pulling the car in and out, plenty of parking and great location to town. Comfortable bed, excellent facilities. Quietest nights sleep in ages, quite nice. I'll definitely stay there again.
Nothing out of place, great place to stay. Highly recommended. Loved it!

I liked everything about my stay here. It's the second time I have stayed with Aoife and I suspect that I'll be back there again at some point. The accomodation is in a good location, off the main road and quiet but close enough to walk into the centre of town. Good parking for my motorbike and a lovely warm greeting from Aoife who really is the perfect host made for a good start to my stay. The accomodation is all up to scratch, my room was perfectly fresh, tidy and clean - and the shower was very good and just what I needed after a day on the bike. Bed linen and towels are absolutely pristine, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided in the room, the WiFi is rapid and Aoife really couldnt be more obliging in terms of breakfast requierments. In terms of location it really is ideal, it's just a short walk to the centre of town and there is no shortage of bars to choose from or shops to call in. All in all it's a first class stopover.
Nothing at all. There really isnt anything that I didnt like and would be more than happy to return at a future date. Equally I have no hesitation in reccomending this as a great place to stay.

Loved how airy and fresh the room was. It was spacious and the shower was massive! The bed is actually more comfortable than my own at home!! The breakfast was delicious and I particularly liked the quirky teapots, jugs and china cups. Aoife sure knows how to make you feel welcome. Thanks a million.
Honestly, all good really.

The accomodtion was easy to find and was really well located for the short walk to the town centre. Although just a few minutes walk from the town the property is set in a residential area that is quiet and just off the main road and no noise disturbance at all. My welcome was fulsome from the host and I was given a choice of spots to park my motorbike (one of those at the rear of the property), although I left my bike at the front as it was perfectly safe and secure. Breakfast was good and cooked to order and the owner (Aoife) was really helpful and gave me some advice/tips of locations to call at on my route - my room was big enough, wi-fi was excelent and all in a very good place to stay over. There are plenty of locations to get a drink/bite to eat in the twon centre.
Nothing I didnt like it was all good.
