Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were very good. Wicklow was a great place to see the 'real' Ireland. Parking was available on street for a fee. Many good restaurants and pubs within a short walk. Excellent access to Wicklow Mountains and other nice outdoors locations. Hotel itself has basic rooms but that was fine, because hopefully you are not spending your time there but outside the hotel, experiencing Ireland. Rooms were clean.
There were a couple of small items that were broken (e.g., toilet seat) that needed to be fixed.

From the moment we arrived the manager could not do enough for us - we arrived by taxi (who wanted cash which we didn't have enough for, so rather than walk to the ATM, the manager offered us to do 'cash back' at the bar), the kitchen was closing but he offered us a few hot options that could be made quickly (lovely fish and chips), he helped us with our suitcases to our rooms, he organised a local taxi for the next day, and even took our breakfast orders for the morning so we would be up and ready to go! Rooms were comfortable and well stocked with facilities. Breakfast was huge, fresh and tasty.
We only had time to stay one night! We would love to come back and stay again, explore the area and thank the manager for his unrivaled hospitality. Hugely recommended by us, thank you!

Beautiful room, very clean, warm, beautiful view over the canal. Lovely shower room with a considerable size. Very nice breakfast. Good coffee.
If you book for one night like I did and explore the town, the shop's and pubs will be fine and tired. The room 18 is in top of the restaurant and music area. You don't need to be down to listen the music is in your room too. Friday we had the luck that they finished at midnight, otherwise...I would had headaches in the morning.

This is a pub with rooms, not a hotel. It's a great pub with good food, and if you can't find something you like its menu there's several excellent restaurants close by. It's a very old building, so the rooms are somewhat idiosyncratic, but large, warm, comfortable and excellently equipped. The staff are always welcoming and eager to help. For instance, I came on a motorbike, and room was found for it in the pub shed, so I didn't have to leave it on the street . The situation is superb, right on the ancient bridge (hence the name) with historic views on all sides. I'm not sure that there's much that could be better in this type of accommodation.
I liked it all.

We have gotten a lovely spacious room for 205 euros in April 2025. But some rooms are VERY compact 🤗 Breakfast was exceptional. Staff is warm and friendly. Location - heart of town. It's actually a historic property dating 17 hundreds I have the pic I've taken in the Wicklow goal about it.
All went well, just take the train instead of bus, it only goes a few times a day, but it's more scenic and nicer. (I mean for longer trips like Dublin or Bray etc)

We asked for a quiet room and were warned on check in that it would be noisy until midnight and that there could be some street noise. That wasn't our experience though! There was no discernible noise from the bar and we even slept with the windows open with no disturbance. The beds were comfy, our family room (me and 2 lanky teens) was spacious. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was served in booths overlooking the river. The french toast was great, the vegetarian breakfast was awesome. Staff were friendly and attentive.
No notes. All great.

Central location , friendly staff, easy check-in, and late access if needed. Food served all day, breakfast until quite late in the morning. Live music most nights. Nice laid back atmosphere.
There is no parking, but it is easy to park on the local side roads, pay, and display . It is expensive to stay at weekends, Breakfast on day 2 was poor and had obviously been kept warm too long. A hacksaw was needed for the Bacon. The poached egg was hard boiled.

Really liked the location - an old building which has all mod cons. Most staff ( one exception) were great. I'd stay here again.
Little to complain about .. but, we ate there (really good by the way ).The sea bass with baby potatoes had ONE baby potato. When we said this to our server she said the potatoes were under the fish and she promptly went off to serve other customers. ONE baby potato... Anyway a nice lad gave us a bowl of baby spuds and all was well. Honestly, all other staff were great.

The Bridge Tavern is a great addition to Wicklow. It's location is an excellent base for touring Wicklow and surrounding area. Located beside the vartry river the accomodation was clean and very comfortable. We had a triple room which was decorated nicely and had lots of facilities in the room. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and bed linen fresh and clean. Private ensuite with shower and toiletries. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Downstairs the bar and restaurant was nicely laid out to accommodate large groups. We had dinner in the restaurant that night followed by a live band on site which was great that we didn't have to go out as it was raining. Good food, good company and a great atmosphere. The price of the meal and the drink at the end of the night for a group of 6 was very reasonable. We were given breakfast the following morning which was good but too much to finish. This was included in the room rate. Would definitely stay there again😁
Not a criticism but the en suite needs a little attention in some areas.

Everything about the stay was great. Really nice place, the staff was really helpful and pleasant and the food was amazing. .
The only one that was disappointing was the heating in the room had been on full blast from when we arrived and the room was too warm all through the night with no way to turn off the heating. This was uncomfortable but apart from this the place is really nice and we would definitely return
