- location - perfect location on the beach and next to a number of food places. Carmel market is only 10 min walk. Jaffa is about 40 min walk but there are not many hotels around there or swim spots. - wine reception and sunset - they provide free wine from 7 to 8 on the rooftop terrace that overlooks a beautiful beach sunset. - staff - very friendly and helpful

Not a dislike but more just items to note: - the hotel seemed quite expensive to us as there's no pool and the rooms are standard. But Tel Aviv is very expensive so the hotel is fairly reasonable value in the grand scheme of things. - hotel can arrange a taxi which is 170 shekel from airport (around 70 euro) for a 30 min drive. Again seems expensive but just tel aviv prices. - taxi from bus station approx 80 shekel for 20 min drive.

The Maxim is my Go-To-Place whenever I visit Tel Aviv! This is probably my fifth time here and I'm sure there will be more! From the great location, the comfortable rooms, the fantastic breakfast, this place is, for the price, exceptional! But what really makes Maxim stand out, is its Staff. The Manager, Said and the front desk receptionists, Rotem and Sveta, are always helpful, caring and professional. The Kitchen and breakfast area, with the help of Mila and Rashel, was always clean, the food fresh and plentiful. Can't forget to thank Chef Sergie. All this and they were ALWAYS smiling and courteous!!

Nothing!! All was GREAT!!

Great location, close to several beaches, restaurants, a nice walk to Old Jaffa. Minimal but refreshing breakfast. Toiletries provided but limited to soap/shampoo. Free snacks and wine 6-7pm! Room cleaned daily. Room was at the back of the hotel so no road noise from the incessant beeping of horns from impatient drivers.

Directions for transport to the hotel could be clearer i.e. you need to buy a transport card first! Then to take bus 161 - the bus station is behind the train station so after leaving the train from the (Savidor) central station, walk up the first set of stairs and then walk through the tunnel bridge. Follow it all the way through, past the shops etc and exit. Walk a little further and turn right to the bus stands. The bus goes from the bus shelter on the road behind stand C. Alternatively, you can use moovit, Gett, Yango app and book a metered taxi for around 55ILS. Property is a little dated. Smallest room ive every used (single room).

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained by housekeeping, and I slept easily in the comfortable bed. The shower had strong water. The included buffet breakfast had plenty of choices, including a lot of fresh vegetables, shakshuka, a variety of breads, eggs made to order, and a cappucino/espresso machine -- all very tasty. I was leaving very early many mornings, before breakfast, to volunteer on farms, and they made me a bag with 2 sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, and water, for no cost. The hotel is located one block from the beautiful Tel Aviv beach, and has a rooftop with lots of seating and a fabulous view. And it is not expensive.

The hotel is EXCELLENT. It is about a 5-minute walk to the beach and about a 15-minute walk to Dizengoff Street (tons of restaurants and shopping). The hotel is clean, the breakfast is very good (there is not a large selection, but it is more than enough, and the quality is very good), there is a nice rooftop terrace with a terrific view of the water (there is not much shade in the afternoon as the sun is directly in front of you. However, there is a back portion to the rooftop terrace, where it is shady, but the view is of the city, not the water), and there is a happy hour with wine from 18:00 to 19:00. The staff are friendly, the rooms are cozy (the rooms are small, and the bathroom was small but apart from sleeping, we were not in the room so it was not a big deal) and I would highly recommend staying here.

We were upgraded to a room that faced HaYarkon Street, which was a busy street, even later at night. The trade-off was that we had a beautiful view of the beach and water. The sound from the street penetrated into the room, so if you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider a room that does not face the street (you can go up to the rooftop terrace to look at the water).

Location was fantastic, breakfast was great and there was plenty of it. Happy hour was a brilliant extra bonus , housekeeping was exceptional, roof terrace was fab.

The lift - I’m sure you’ve heard it before- two really tiny lifts , and one of them broke while the manager was in it which was a bit awkward for him. Feels like one larger lift would make things better for all, that’s literally the only reason we gave nine rather than ten for the score…

Fantastic location, just a short walk to either the beach or the shops and restaurants! It’s a small hotel, but all the better for it. Rooms are fairly small but have everything you need. The beds, however, are fantastic, so comfortable, which is pretty rare even in much more expensive hotels. The staff are friendly and helpful. The icing on the cake has to be the roof garden. Taking a glass of wine up there to watch the sunset was just beautiful.

The tv remote didn’t work very well.

We always stay here since we discovered this beautiful pleasant hotel a few years ago. They have a superb location, the staff is always extremily helpful and pleasant, the breakfast is good and there is always coffee and tea. We were leaving on October 7, 2023, when the war broke out. We could stay the night and longer if needed. The staff tried to comfort us all when we had to go to the bombshelters 5x as the rockets few into Tel Aviv. They stayed calm and helpful. The manager was very thoughtful and caring. So next time we go back here again.... but the future is so unsure with all going on..... it is very bad. We went to the airport without tickets on Sunday October 8, and we could come back if we couldn't get a plane out. That nearly happened but we were able to fly out, by a miracle! This hotel is for us the best!!!! (And we always anywhere else go to hotels with 4 or 5 stars... but in Tel Aviv: nothing better than Maxim!!! It is the staff!

Nothing!!!

The Tel Aviv Maxim hotel is a gem boutique hotel. It is a five story hotel with a rooftop seating area with a great view of the sea and the Tel Aviv Promenade. The rooms are cozy and compact, but functional and well attended to. Our stay included daily Israeli breakfast buffet including shakshuka, or eggs made to order, various salads, such as the finely cut Israeli tomatoes and cucumber salad, the popular tahini, olives, freshly baked assortment of breads and baked pastries, as well as various cheeses, yogurts and cereals, and finally, a self serve espresso machine. An evening happy hour featured free wines. The staff is friendly and helpful and allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel on departure day after we checked out. The location for us was the best in Tel Aviv. It allowed us easy walking access to most of Tel Aviv’s attractions. Just across the street is the beach and they provided a bag with beach towels any time we requested. We always enjoy Tel Aviv, but this hotel made this stay even better.

Compact room size.

The hotel is right near everything and the best beach area in Tel Aviv . They have coffee and snack all day . Plus wine and snacks and a great soup everyday at 6:00 pm . Don’t miss it . The sunset from the rooftop is WOW!! Get there by 7:00 pm and you will love it . The hotel was full of people so I guessed that it is well known for their great service . The bed was a little hard but not a big deal. I was able to sleep unlike the rock bed I found in a hotel in Jerusalem . Plus I found a very soft pillow in the closet that help . They also give you a beach bag . No need to bring one . And they provide with a tower for the beach . They are so helpful there . I highly recommend this hotel . If I go back to Tel Aviv I’ll stay there .

The bed was a little hard for me . You should put a pad to make it soft . I was able to do it with the blanket and a soft pillow that was in the closet . Hint hint for those who like a soft bed like me .
