This hotel is a good, central hotel if you don't know your way about LA. Very central and close to most things. The hotel itself is nice enough with a really nice, boutique style pool where you get the odd 'big name' there at the pool. Service was good, room was big enough. Decent gym, few nice bars and restaurants in the hotel as well. I've stayed here a few times and never been disappointed with the hotel or the service.

Two things springs to mind both of which are not surprising considering where the hotel is just the price of food/drink and valet parking is $55 dollars (plus tips) per day which is a bit of a spoiler. There was a car park literally across the road for a lot less but unfortunately it was closed when I was there. Really nice hotel but if you a re travelling on a budget it's probably not best suited to that kind of holiday.

One of the best hotels we visited during our travels. We had a large, clean room with a nice view. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including the security guards who always greeted you with a smile and a kind word. The food and service in 25 was exceptional. I cannot remember when we had such a tasty breakfast in a hotel if ever. Old Hollywood style outdoor pool, hidden Cinegril Theater, newly opened Brasserie. This hotel has everything you need. Not to mention the intriguing atmosphere when you walk in. You can also expect to come to your room in the evening and find the curtains closed, ice buckets filled and the room nicely chilled.

Really upscale classic LA hotel. Common areas were grand. Pool area had a sophisticated resort feel. If you are in LA to visit the Hollywood area, this has to be the best place for you. The valet staff was excellent and I recommend it even though the fee is a little high. The front desk staff was efficient but somewhat aloof. The room was gorgeous (a king suite) and huge. The cleanliness of the hotel and room were superb. The hotel restaurants and pool area are very nice and will make you feel like you are a celebrity. Recommended.

We had quite a delay getting our room. The hotel did upgrade us though, which was very nice.

This hotel was awesome. It felt like you stepped back in time. A true Hollywood experience!

We got in around 9 or 10pm our first night and we’re hungry. We tried to go upstairs to the bar and they refused entry because we were in sandals. The burger place on property was closing in a hour so it was take out only. We ended up finding a late night restaurant across the street we were able to eat and drink at. Wish the staff would have just said that in the beginning instead of having us run around the hotel and changing outfits just for a sit down dinner and drinks. Just felt like a lot of wasted time and unhelpful staff. We never did eat at the hotel the rest of the stay. Just put a bad taste in our mouth so to speak.

The Hollywood Roosevelt is a unique hotel a stay there is like enjoying a living museum of Golden Age Hollywood. Every tile and room has a history. Our stay was impacted by Super Storm Hilary / Earthquake / flooding and a 'normal' hotel would have been a drag but the myriad of zones and activities cinema, bowling, 3 restaurants etc kept us all safe and entertained. We missed being able to access the beautiful Tropicana pool area properly but that was the weather and not the hotel's fault.

The hallways to the rooms could do with an update. Kettles and tea, coffee facilities should be back in the rooms also but that was minor.

Everything was amazing. When we checked in, because it was a special occasion for us, we were upgraded from a standard room to a poolside cabana suite. Not only that, but they arranged for a complimentary bottle of champagne to be delivered to our suite. The staff were excellent then and continued in the same way! They were superb throughout and a credit to the hotel.

The one small thing I didn't love was the fact that the only parking was valet parking. While we could have parked in the garage across the street, it would be more convenient if we were able to park our car in the hotel lot. The valet meant there was a bit of waiting for our car when we could see it right across the lot.

Fantastic location! Close to most turistic attractions, and a close drive from Universal Studios. Can walk to most places, and very close to a train station. Very nice pool. Cool hollywood vibe with the decoration, feels fun.

Parking is only by valet, and expensive. There is public paid parking across the street. There was a movie night, but you had to pay extra for it. I was surprised that they charged me an additional 35 USD to cover de "free Wi-Fi, pool and other amenities". Would rather have that included in the price of the room. Shower floor could be cleaner.

I've always wanted to stay at the Roosevelt having been by the pool on past trips. This time I booked in and my expectations were exceeded. Firstly, staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and communicative. I asked for a kettle in my room and it was delivered within the hour. The bed was comfy, the shower had amazing pressure and the icing on the beautiful pool which I was lucky enough to enjoy (note it is heated). I was here for business so needed good wifi and I'm happy to report that I had an all day zoom and wifi didn't drop out once. As for noise, well I managed to sleep through quite comfortably so no complaints. Enjoy the lobby bar with a cocktail while listening to live piano.

Look, the area of Hollywood is what it is - lots of tourists, lots of people that live on the fringe, lots of smoke smells. Be street safe and mindful of your things.

Loved our stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt! Stayed with our two teenagers and they loved the property too! Our room was very clean and the pool was fun and hip! The hotel location was fine but very touristy right near the walk of fame. We had a car so it was easy for us to get around and visit other areas. We enjoyed the bar and restaurants on property as well! Would definitely stay again!

We found the hotel to be beautiful and the staff absolutely superb! Each and every staff member that we related with were helpful and friendly. The building and pool grounds were beautiful, the breakfast at the cafe by the pool delicious and our rooms were petite, delightful spaces that were clean and comfortable. It definitely had a glamorous and classic feel.

The hotel has more of a party-scene vibe in the later afternoon/evening --- which is completely expected given the location- but maybe doesn't fit a family as well. Because it is an old building with small low-capacity elevators- it can be challenging to get on an elevator if you are on a middle floor.
