Nice, big, good hotel. Located not far from MXP airport (paid shuttle required 5€/adult or kid). Has a bar (open late) and a restaurant (closes at around 21h30) on the premises. A vending machine and a coffee machine (paying). Saw also a rent a car / moto desk. Has outdoor pool (not heated). Forgot to look for a gym. 10 minutes away (in the village) you have a nice cheap patisserie (take the paved road behind the Ibis hotel). There are also restaurants around which I did not test, but probably quite authentic since tourists don’t go there usually. My room had huge flat screen, bathtub, shower (separate), working desk, kettle and extensible couch. I think this is standard in the hotel.

Paying for the shuttle to MXP. Tip! If you don’t mind walking, walk to Gallarate (45 mins) and take cheap train to Milano or North Italy and Switzerland.

It was not clear in the advertising of the property that the hotel shuttle would cost $25 per trip. This was a significant disappointment, as we travelled to and from the airport on four occasions. I would have appreciated knowing this beforehand.

Location is close the airport. Shuttle service available to the airport at €5 per person, and you book it one day in advance at the lobby.

When we arrived the lobby was chaotic because a bunch of travelers had their flight canceled and were directed to the hotel, and one person was manning the reception. I had done online checkin to my room, but that was useless as there was no free person in the reception to just hand me my keys. Also, the restaurant closes at 10, and we weren’t informed at the time of check in, so we had to get food from the vending machine in the lobby, and even then, we got snacks like juices and Oreos because the food stocked in the machine had some sort of pork or wine.

Staff were polite, welcoming and helpful! Rooms had good space, lighting, huge TV and vending machines had variety of snacks!

AC didn't worked well so it was hot during the day and hard to sleep in night in the room which was a shame. Coffee vending machine should have cash option or option to pay for it in cash on reception. Icecreams should be available in vending machines as well due to hot weather and to entertain kids. Shuttle service to the airport on the way back had bad services as the guy threw our luggage on floor and damaged wheel of our new suitcase and we had trouble in airport to move it around with damaged wheel which was really bad experience, please train your shuttle staff as it can ruin the name of your hotel and experience of your customers.

we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of the dinner provided at the hotel restaurant. Based on our experience, we would not recommend including the dinner option in your booking.

Hotel is very close to Milan Malpensa Airport (around 10 minutes drive), which is very convenient for those who want to catch next flight the next day. Location of the hotel makes it very very quiet and allows for a nice deep sleep. The restaurant on the ground floor has a wide variety of food and staff there were friendly. We had a car and we got free parking just outside the hotel door. Room was super clean. I liked the attitude of the reception staff, they were very helpful and very polite. We were going to Venice the next day and the reception staff was kind to explain to us the train routs. Internet in the room was fast and I liked it that they generate separate passwords for each day of stay. The beds were so comfortable. The room had free coffee and tree and there was kettle. We got transfer to the airport from the hotel at got rate and the car was very spacious.

The only point is that it was mentioned that room has air conditioning. But the air conditoner didn't work and when we called the reception desk, we were told that AC is not working.

It was good that the hotel was next to the airport. The train is at the airport which costs $13EU and will take you to the town centre. The shuttle needs to be booked ahead of time and runs every 30min between the hours of 6am-12pm & 6pm -11pm and the cost is $5EU/person. Restaurant & Bar food was good. The jazz night added a delightful element, enhanced further by the subdued lighting and table lamps, which created an inviting ambiance. The hotel was clean & the staff was friendly in their Italian way!

Being close to the airport is convenient but the cost of transportation is expensive. The shuttle cost is $25EU/person between the hours of 12pm to 6pm and your ride needs to be reserved ahead of time. Taxi costs $22 EU for a 7min drive to the hotel and Uber for a 30min drive to the mall is around $80EU. There are no convenience stores or restaurants that are walking distance. The hotel is clean but it should get a makeover to make it feel warmer and more welcoming. Right now, it's pretty cold looking with too much empty spaces. The restaurant feels more like a nice cafeteria but at Jazz night the dim lighting and table lamps gave it a warm elegant feel.

Whilst there has been criticism regarding the location being a bit away from the airport, this is the area that all the major hotels are situated ie ibis etc. It proves that any closer to the airport is not possible or appropriate and this should NOT be a criticism of the hotel...before you book you should always check this, surely...don't blame your lack of research to criticise the hotel's location. A 5 Euro shuttle per person to the airport more than makes up for it...

There was nothing we didn't like, although accessing food outside of the hotel facilities would have been difficult. We ate dinner in the restaurant as a result and the food was good.

The location is great. For an overnight in Malpensa is one of your best options. Very close to the airport, with a transportation service that picks you up there and brings you at the hotel in 5 min (it costs 5€ per person). Breakfast was good, not great but good. Bacon was definitely not good (boiled and extremely greasy), but they had a good selection of bakery products, which I really loved. I am sorry I wasn't able to use the pool, but it looks pretty nice, and the pool area looks lovely with sunbeds and a nice area where you can relax drinking something.

What I didn't like was the size of our room. For 150$ for a single night, we were given a room that was about 20 m², with the toilet door right next to the bed. And because we were traveling with a 4 year old, they had prepared a sofa bed next to the actual bed that was as big as the bed itself. So we had literally 0 space to move around the room.

The Novotel hotel was very nice, elegant, and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was pretty good.

The men that were serving the restaurant were not attentive. There was a group of Asian men there that was drinking quite a bit. The men servers attended to their every need. These servers acted like they didn’t have patience with us. Also, we had to pay 5€ pp for the shuttle picking us up from the train station and 25€ per room for taking us to the airport. So for 2 rooms, 7 people, the fee total for shuttle was $85.
