We chose this accomodation especially for location - it’s really close to the historic center and really close to the Central train/bus station - the bus to Etna leaves every day from here and the airport bus every 20 minuts, so absolutely you don’t need the taxi! We slept over the last day, so we appreciated a lot these factors above:))The staff of this place is very sympatic team of young people, everyone very helpful, communicative in Whatsapp. The equipment and the design of the room are very modern and everything is totally clean. The TV has Netflix!!! We loved this place and we are sure to book it again if we will come back to Catania.

The welcome from the staff was special. The central location (near the station, the port and the center of Catania) and the sea view made my stay unique. B&B that has nothing to envy to many hotels. Also equipped with a beautiful terrace.

I stayed at Mirage Mer just for 4days, but it was perfect. The room was very clean, and also the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything you need when traveling The bus stations to major attractions/ cities and the railway station are very close so you have mobility. (the rooms are soundproof so you dont hear a noise from outside and its a bonus that you can see the sunrise and the sea from your room). Also there is a scooter rental downstairs. I will give a +10 to Luca, the host. He was very present and responsive to everything i needed, he also recommended me really good places, nice views and restaurants with amazing traditional food. He also plans trips around. Such a great host that makes you feel more than welcomed. I will definitely return!

The location is perfect for getting around Catania and for trips at the east coast of Sicily- to Taormina, Siracusa, Noto and Etna. Very clean (serviced every day), safe (controlled entry), 10 min to city center with a view to the harbor and a big balcony . The street is very busy, though, so it is noisy if you open the window. However this did not bother us - the windows provide for good noise isolation and there is clima for hot summers. The staff is very helpful and caring, easy to contact and available for the customers at all times. They can advise on and even organise trips. Thank you Luca! We managed to visit all the restaurants you suggested- all very good choices. Excellent tasty food and drinks!

Our host, Luca, was extremely helpful right from the time of our arrival to our departure. Luca, a genuinely top guy, ensured our well being and has given us a lot of tips about the ear and where to go etc. Luca also provided us extra bottles of water that was very welcome by us as the weather was extremely hot during lunchtime in Catania.

There was nothing not to like at the price we have paid for. Maybe the bidet was a little bit too much for the bathroom as the space was a little tight. Something for Luca to think about and maybe do not spend money installing bidets in the bathrooms leaving extra space for the guests.

If you take a short walk you will be in main pedestrian zone - Duomo in 5 minutes. Train/bus station is also very near. Very good choice for exploring Catania and Sicily. Manager of Accommodation gave us amazing recommendations where to eat (fish, traditional foor sich as arancini, pizza etc.)! We highly value having assistance during our stay.
