The place was lovely! The staff was very friendly and accomodating the entire time. We saw four gentlemen working the hotel, that seemed to be all family members - but it's just a presumption. Whenever you leave the room to see the city, you leave the key at the reception, but there's always a person there to hand it to you when you came back. There's also room service that makes the bed, takes out the trash and provides new shampoo packets in the bathroom. The hotel seems old, but very clean and well kept, so it gives a nice, vintage atmosphere to your stay. The room was nice and clean, and there was very nice free breakfast served in the morning - bread, cheese and ham to make nice grill ham and cheese sandwiches in a panini grill. There's also jams and nutella provided if you want to make a PBJ. There's also cereal, small servings of yoghurt, canned fruit, and very delicious pastries and croisants with filling. There are two small grocery stores just accross the street - one regular, and one with asian goods, so you can buy all sorts of stuff you might need. Very much recommended.

The location and the overall ambiance was very pleasing and the staff was very welcoming. The hotel room was very clean and the food was amazing. When we walked from the station to the hotel, which I highly recommend, we got to see all the locations and landmarks which made for a pleasent and enjoyable expeience.

There was no functional or practical shower and no bin in the bathroom.

An affordable place located in the best location of Florence. You are 15 min walk from the train station and 5 minutes to Santa Croce. From here, it is easily to walk everywhere, or even take a bus if you don’t want to. The staff is the best. They are super gentle and welcoming. Sandro from the breakfast is one of the best people I have met in a hotel facility. The breakfast is good. They cleaned every day our room and provide new towels.

Although the breakfast is good, there are no healthy options (in case you are looking as such). The bathroom is a little messy because there is no division between the shower and the WC. No curtain at all. So every time you take a shower, you have to put a lot of towels to dry the floor. At least, the cleaning ladies provide daily cleaning and new towels everyday, so it is not that terrible and you could manage. The elevator is old and takes a lot of time to come.

Value for money, kind staff (especially Sandro), good breakfast, nice location. Clean rooms with daily cleaning and towels.

The shower was small and the water was not really hot but tepid which in winter did not meet the expectations.

Within 20 minutes walk from Station, passing the Duomo,. The hotel is bordering the main city and easy to get to other sites all within level walking distance. The rooms are a little dated, but please do not let this put you off as they are clean and functional. The breakfast, continental is quite plentiful for most with croissants, toast, cakes, cereal, fruit & yoghurt. They do not serve dinner, but you can get reasonably priced drinks & wine at the par (cheapest in florence). they have a fabulous rooftop terrace where you can see the Duomo dome and watch the sun go down. I would happly stop again for a few days while visiting Florence & surrounding areas. The also have a handy little supermarket just across the street from the hotel for most needs. Hotelstaff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Only had foreign channels on TV, with the exception of the music channel, but to be honest, I wasn't that bothered

People were friendly and available to help at all time. The location is pretty OK, shops and restaurants in 1-minute walking time. Breakfast was included and nice. Our room looked to the inside yard, so in the morning birds were chirping.

The rooms was a bit "squeezed tight", still enough for a 1 or 2-night stay. It wasn't one of the pictured at the site, so the bath wasn't so great. Facilities are old and used. We could hear every noice and detail both from surrounding rooms and the outside, but for the price offered that's also ok. Not sure if this is good or bad, but the hotel reception was on the last floor and our room in the first. So every time we wanted to go out, we had to go up to reception, to leave the room key there (that's mandatory) and then go back to the bottom and vice versa when coming back to the room after sightseeing.

Not easy to figure out straight away how the hairdryer works but chambermaid helped us pretty fast, shower itself- just floor (you need a lot of tower and need to be careful afterwards, I almost fell down a few times because it was too slippery 😅), better to bring earplugs- you can have noisy neighbours. I had to flip my mattress because it wasn’t good on my side at first- I was falling down from it - funny but good that other side was fine to sleep on; they have a lift which is nice but you need to bring keys to 4th floor to reception every time you leave the room ( the key is big so I get it but still )

The location of the hotel is good. For example you can easily reach Doumo by 7-8 minutes of walking. The staff is very helpful. But there are some issues you can be surprised at the first glance. The hotel isn't in a separate building, it's a part of a building, you enter an apartment and should go upstairs in order to reach the hotel part. The facilities in the rooms make you feel like you live in 70s or 80s but it didn't bother me too much, becasue the price, the location and the staff were good. So you can choose this place as having a good price/performance ratio. As a conclusion I can stay in here again, if i visit Firenze once more.

The facilities and cleanliness in the room are really good. The staff is welcoming and cooperative. Descent breakfast, well needed in this location. The best parts is the solarium which is accessible to the guests. For the usual site seeing in Florence, this hotel is located at the right spot with the major attractions within walking distance.

First I thought that the neighborhood is quite dingy, the roads are stinky but then I realised many roads in Florence are a bit stinky. The super annoying part was that there were groups of people talking very loudly on the road at the midnight. Both nights I woke up to their noisely chatter and laughs. Also the bathroom in the single room is quite small. It's clean and with all facilities but the shower space is too small.

Great atmosphere. We have felt very welcomed. The staff was very nice to us. We could leave backpacks before check in and after check out. I enjoyed the fact there were working not youngsters but olderly people as well. Thanks to that we could talk, laugh and feel understood. Location was great. Nice view from the roof and from the balcony. Nice breakfast with kind service. It is not 5 star hotel but warm people there - the staff - are an extra value therefore 10/10. One more thing - beds were comfy.

Bathrooms are very small but we knew that. That is due to the way the (old) building was design.
