The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the expected facilities, coffee and tea making facilities, a safe, a TV, a hairdryer etc. The location to the city centre was great. We were just a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral and most of the main museums. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing advice on where to eat and drink.

The room was very small, but as we were only there for 2 nights and only slept there, it wasn't a problem. However, for stays longer than 1 or 2 nights, the room would feel a bit claustrophobic. We stayed in room 402.

Fantastic location, close to duomo, central market, train station, a few minutes walk from many key tourist attractions. Very clean & kept so every day. Staff on reception / breakfast very pleasant.

Breakfast- limited, not much selection & nothing like the breakfasts we’ve had elsewhere in Italy, but adequate if you’re after something light like coffee & croissants. Room sound - could very easily hear other guests in their rooms and walking past in the corridor, which made it hard to sleep with noisy guests.

The location was ideal for seeing Florence. The owners were gracious and accommodating. Hotel is beautifully remodeled and our room was absolutely lovely. Especially for Europe, the bathrooms are large and comfortable.

The breakfast was very unremarkable. It could have been the breakfast offered in a cheap motel in the U.S. From Italy... I expect more. I would recommend that the owners offer their guests less selection and more authenticity and quality.

What a quaint little hotel just off the square. The staff was very helpful. They gave great directions on how to get there from the airport via a short train ride. A couple of nice restaurants were suggested that were within a short walk through the open market. They even arranged for an early morning cab to return us to the airport. Accommodations were comfortable and clean.

Because of an airline issue, we only got to stay one night. Once there, we really would have enjoyed another day.

The owners were lovely - friendly, helpful and engaging. Our room was spacious, comfy, had everything we needed, including two powerful air con units. Breakfast was the typical continental offering, plenty of choice and in a cute little room. The hotel is a gorgeously restored old building where they have kept many of the original features and decorated to show them off. It is also in a great location, within walking distance of everything and a stone's throw from a market square with lots of restaurants. We loved it.

For some, the street noise at night, which carries on into the early hours could be an issue, but it didn't bother us. Also, the lift is tiny and only goes to the first floor, but this is a small issue and didn't affect us.

Room was spacious and very clean. I loved having maid service every day. It was wonderful to come back to the room after a long day of sightseeing and find room clean and cool. Room had good air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly. Location was excellent, an easy walk to train station and city center. Breakfast room was cozy with more choices for breakfast than I expected. I especially loved the coffee machine!

Our room had two levels with a queen bed and closet upstairs and single bed, closet, desk, and bathroom downstairs. So the only thing I didn’t like was going up and down the stairs in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. But I liked having the extra space that the two levels gave us.

The location of this hotel is outstanding, can walk to everything that you need. The staff is very friendly, helpful, kind and professional. We were exhausted when we arrived and Giovanni moved our room from the second floor to the first We really appreciated his kindness. There are small stores near by to purchase water, soda or snacks. The room was a comfortable size and the bed was excellent.

Some of the breakfast could have been better. We got spoiled in other cities by freshly brewed coffee, this hotel has a machine where you press a button. Lots of choice but not the best quality. The breakfast was substantial, again better quality would have been nice.

This was the most comfortable be we've found in Europe so far. The facilities are nothing spectacular, but you shouldn't be holed up in your hotel that much, any way, so it doesn't matter. The breakfast offered was small but fantastic and the location of the hotel itself is good.

There's really nothing that I didn't like. Literally zero complaints. It's an older building in Europe, so the stairway was a little dark before sunrise?

Location was excellent - 8 minutes walk to train station, 2 minutes walk to Duomo, 1 minute to Mercato Centrale. a lot of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. 50 meters close to supermarket. Perfect for staying with children. Breakfast is simple but very nice. Room was cleaned every day. We even had a small balcony which was perfect. Excellent value for money.

We liked everything

the hotel is in a 600 year old building and some of these features are still displayed. it fits in well with the history of Florence. the management are wonderful and very accomodating. this is not an impersonal chain hotel.

although we didn't have a car, the area has very limited car parking
