The ladies on the breakfast floor were very pleasant in the morning. The view was fantastic! Plenty of options and the bread, well the bread is always the high light of the morning breakfast! LOL. Our room was lovely, small but cute and we fit nicely. The bed was big and comfortable. We had a lovely balcony too! Didn't really sit out there much since we were walking every day enjoying the sites! However, we met up with friends who have an apartment in Florence. Their apartment was directly across the street from the hotel! What a bonus that was!! We will definitely return and return and return!! I love the language and may need to learn it! My friend's fiancé spoke Italian so again, another added bonus. However, everyone spoke English so that was NOT a problem. The leather in Italy is outstanding!!!! I couldn't walk by a shop without having my breath taken away. Purchased a pair of black boots from DIVA store. They have 3 stores in Florence. GO THERE! Do not miss shopping there. Spend the money for a coat/purse/boots/belt/ SOMETHING!! Don't go home without treating yourself. Food was fantastic. Also, check our these restaurants! La Chicca/il Pacchero/Osteria die Leoni Firenze. Most of all, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

We loved it all. The museums are worth experiencing!!! Uffizi is a must see! Spent two hours there and couldn't believe the beauty!! Outstanding and most definitely work going to Italy to see it!!!

The location is excellent, right at the foot of Ponte Vecchio. Considering the age of the building and being on the historical center, we had a nicely sized room. If you are a late sleeper or have an issue getting adjusted to the time difference, the room is quite noise isolated (it is a very busy area and we did not feel much noise) and the shades are quite good also. There is a very nice view from the terrace and restaurant areas as well a nice lobby/resting area on the first floor. The staff was very attentive and helpful as well.

It is not much to say we didn't like it but, at least on our room, had a very high access to the bathtub making it prone to hit some parts of the vanity or even falling, while we could get around it an older couple may have issues.

Hotel is located literally at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio, so it's on a very lively, well-traveled (cars and foot traffic) street. We would have preferred a quieter, calmer location, but the price could not be beat. Accommodations were fine (quite dated, small room, but great water pressure in shower), breakfast was very nice, views from breakfast/happy hour area were lovely. Not sure I'd choose it again...but it was fine.

Didn't love location. Wanted to be on this side of the Arno, but thought it was further from the Ponte Vecchio than it actually was (my mistake). Property is tiny--felt pretty cramped overall (lobby, elevators, hallway, room)--and pretty dated. Was the least nice of all the places we stayed in our 2 week tour of northern Italy.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and in 6 years it was nice to see it has stayed the same welcoming and friendly place. Its central location meant we could easily go out and come back to rest in peace and quiet away from the crowds, before wandering out again. Its simplicity and the smoothly run service were great. We ate in the restaurant one night. Amazing food from a simple menu, with some of the best roof top views over the city, served by super helpful staff, and it was peaceful but not too quiet

Staff were exceptional! Lobby staff went out of their way to ensure our happiness. The breakfast staff were amazing as well. They were very attentive to everyone's needs! Even though the hotel is tired we would stay here again!

We stayed here in 2011. Our stay then was fantastic! Since then, the hotel has been sold to another group. The hotel is tired and in need of updating. I am sure the pandemic did not help in any way. HOWEVER, we did notice there was updating being done on the first floor. It appears that new management is taking steps to address this issue.

This has to be one of the best boutique hotels in Florence. The location is fantastic - right at the foot of Ponte Vecchio, a few minutes walk away from the entire historic town centre. I couldn't have asked for a better location to stay at. The staff is extremely sweet and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are adequately sized, comfortable beds and a great breakfast spread! I love the relaxation lounge they have on the mezzanine floor as well. The bus stop is right outside the hotel entrance - offering easy connectivity to all of Florence, including the Piazzale Michelangelo. Can't recommend this place more! Tip: Wake up early and step out of the hotel onto Ponte Vecchio, before the crowds begin. It's magical to have the bridge all to yourself.

I am only nitpicking here, but the area nearby shuts early (post sunset). I visited in the off-season time of February, so I don't know about season time. I couldn't find any eateries that were open late night when I got a little peckish. Although the hotel has a restaurant that offers dinner till 10pm but it can be slightly pricey.

The people on the concierge desk were very friendly and accommodating, especially Icrom, whom we had several opportunities to visit with. Martina and Enzo in the breakfast room were very pleasant, too.

The choice of food offered in the breakfast room could have been more varied, and the air-conditioning in our room 505 could have cooled the room a little better.

The Hotel was at a wonderful location, only minutes walk from Pitti Palace. The Restaurant service was good, and the Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will cherish the memories of our breakfast every morning there. The room was comfortable, and clean, being maintained by the housekeeping Staff, who did a good job. The Reception Staff members were very kind and helped us when we needed it, like arranging for a buggy for our toddler, calling a cab etc. Overall, our stay there was pleasurable and we can recommend this Hotel to anybody who's visiting Florence.

Low floor was noisy from road outside and renovation work started at 7:30 am No jam provided in breakfast, just some compote which was not good. A four star hotel should at least provide some proper jam at breakfast, and not disturb guests too early in the morning.

Great location and the restaurant was excellent. My boyfriend wanted to eat there every night! Staff was lovely and the “A floor” was a really nice option to congregate outside of the room. We traveled with family so we didn’t have to pile into anyone’s room to hang out, we were able to hang out in the lounge.

Rooms and bathrooms could use some updating, but no real complaints!
