An absolutely stunning and quintessentially Italian hotel located a stones throw from the train station. On arrival we were greeted by one of the lovely reception staff who made us feel very welcome and told us all about what the hotel can offer. After making our way up to our room and kicking our shoes off, we had a knock at the door and were very grateful for a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our Honeymoon. The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace where you can relax, take in the sounds of the city and look at the stunning views of the surrounding area. We were very happy to have stayed at the Savoia, and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are near to Genoa in the future.

Everything..this is a very Grand hotel indeed. Frankly didn't know much about it but booked because it was close to the main train station and had so so experiences in other hotels at the same location..for not a huge amount of difference in price all considered....it was not the cheapest for sure but was exceptional value for money when the quality of room and general ambiance was considered....

Coffee machine in room wasn't working ....but to be fair did not give them the chance to fix that as we were only there for one night and going early the next morning and you are never to far from a good coffee in Italy! Not a deal breaker.

The inclusion like the wellness spa area was wonderful to come home to after a day of sightseeing in Cinqueterre, Santa Margarita Ligure or the old town of Genoa and the lookout points above the city of the port. Very attentive staff. Thankyou for such a treat of a place to stay, and very close to the main station too… perfect!!

The location could not be better if you come by train to Genoa. The train station is two minutes away on foot, which is super convenient. The hotel has old-fashioned flair with modern touches. The superior rooms are spacious, with great linens and towels. Impeccable housekeeping. The hotel is within walking distance from the historic centre of Genoa - easy to access all the palaces, museums and sights. Many restaurants and cafés nearby. The hotel's Trattoria Tratralêro is excellent with traditional Genoese cuisine. I highly recommend going.

Beautiful old grand hotel. Good bar and restaurant, also rooftop bar. Good location if you need to be near the train station, otherwise I would try a different area of town, we didn’t feel safe going out after dark.

We moved moved rooms to the top floor due to the noise of the water pipes from the floors above. Also you need to ask for the air on to be turned on in your room.

Hotel was beautiful and felt high end the second you walk in. We stayed 4 nights and it was easy to get around the city from the hotel. We walked most places but took buses and metro when tired. Room was large with comfy beds. Breakfast was wonderful every morning… so many choices. The lobby bar was also great— they can make a great cocktail. Hotel was very accommodating to our two young children.

Pirate garden was closed! Didn’t realize there was a playground on site but that would have been amazing for our kids.

Location near to station but still a 20 min walk to town centre. Room and decor are lovely. Top floor balcony is wonderful, with great views. Breakfast very good. Front desk staff good. There is even a guy playing the pions at breakfast. Very nice music.

Evening meal in the restaurant not great. One of the upstairs bar staff was a jobs worth, with weird rules when umbrellas could be opened and not. But another guy on the bar was fantastic.

Everything about Grand Hotel Savoia was exceptional. From the moment we arrived to the time we departed, it was a special experience. The breakfast was superb. The room was perfect - the size of the room was more than ample with a stunning view of the city. We were celebrating our 38th anniversary and I feel that the staff really extended a warm welcome to us. The lobby is a delight for cocktails - luxury! And, the rooftop cafe is not to be missed. The location is ideal as it is very close to the train station so I highly recommend GHS if you are planning on traveling the Cinque Terre was we did. Thank you GHS for a memorable stay.

If I were to be ultra critical, I would have loved the hot tub to be hotter! That said, one of the staff offered to inquire with the hotel staff responsible for the hot tub, to try to increase the water temperature. We decided to enjoy it as it was.

Definitely a cut above all other hotels we visited during this trip to Milan and Genoa. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was spacious with plenty of space and electrical outlets, The pillows were normal sized and not the usual flat deflated ones we dread in Europe. The bed was a king and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a very wide variety of food. One does not get the feeling of being nickeled and dimed to death over every little item. The key was a normal digital one and not an ancient ball and chain variety to be turned in at the front desk. The train station is literally across the street and yet the room even on floor 1 was very quiet. The lobby area has classic comfortable rooms for conversation.

I can't think of anything. I wish we had stayed here longer.
