It was much more than we expected. Price was very reasonable. When we arrived, we had to enter thru two very old large Hammered doors that looked Ancient. We rang bell and someone opened the door. In front of us was a tall staircase to go up to check in and, thank goodness we were helped with our luggage. The waiting area was so exciting and unusual with old records and instruments all over the walls. Many steps to our room that was very clean and neat and comfortable. The desk clerk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. A very fun remembrance of our trip.

We stayed here for one night only, but it exceeded our expectations. After reading the reviews, we felt a little bit uncomfortable about the location and safety (travelling with two kids), but we realized it is rather about people´s assumptions than the reality. It was a great place with a genius loci of old port multicultural part of town, busy as ever with narrow streets, restaurants and loud people and of course crazy traffic. The only disadvantage was an expensive public underground parking across the street (on which we got some discount from the hotel - nevertheless staying there several days you would spend unreasonable amount of money on parking). Nevertheless, a very close to aquarium (500m maximum), nice options to eat out in surroundings, comfortable rooms with a view into narrow and busy alleys and mainly a very nice guy running the hotel! So we thank for the stay and we will definitely be back! :-)

The hotel is very central, right opposite to the Porto Antico. So the main sightseeing objects are just a walking distance away, which is very convenient. Perfect for a touristic stay. We (a family of 2 adults and 2 kids) came to Genova for 2 nights. The parking is outside the hotel (Porto Antico Parking) and costs extra (we paid EUR 40 for 2 nights). But this must be typical for Genova center - hotels generally don't have private parking, unless located outside of the city. The room was good enough in size, clean and quiet. The host is very friendly and responsive.

We were a little concerned about the entrance because it's in an alley. We were reassured that all was well by the staff and they were right. Much of Genoa is in the alleys. They were very welcoming and helpful with all our concerns. We purchased breakfast one morning and it was very good. The location was excellent.

A good room with big bathroom and a very pleasant personal. The position near to the railway station and city center is also very convenient.

Just one thing: the bedsheets seem to be quite old and a bit dirty. I believe they are washed after each guest, but there were some spots

It has to be said that the hotel is very well kept and although near to a major road I didn't find it noisy at all. The hotel itself is very clean and inside there is a hidden gem, its the man called Roberto, this man is a brilliant find and helped me on numerous occasions with his knowledge and, it has to be said, his endless hospitality.

It’s got a lovely ambience and the location is very central. However the real icing on the cake is Roberto (the man who runs it). He’s a complete gent and an absolute pleasure to interact with. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and made sure our stay was as warm and comfortable as could be. I cannot recommend this property enough

Absolutely amazing staff! Quite comfy room with an air conditioning which is a great help in july. It is located near the aquarium, ancient port, the Piazza Principe train station, and the city center. We also loved its musical interior design.

Near to metro station, near to port and aquarium. Near to bus stop(line 1) bus terminal. Staff was super kind and helpful. Room well equipped.

Bed was not so comfortable, The room was so noisy. Both the sound of the car and the crowd of drunk people.

The receptionist was really nice! The hotel is very close to train station Piazza Principe - about 4 min walk.

The hotel is situated in the area where there are suspicious people all around but that’s not the fault of the hotel. Not reccomended for female solo travelers while walking there.
