An incredibly unique opportunity to stay in a private home with a long, fascinating history, run by the charming and wonderful owner, Isabella. Found in the beautiful historic center of Lecce, the palazzo is just steps away from museums, cocktail bars, wonderful walks and a fabulous array of dining experiences, and at the end of the day, you return to the warm and welcoming rooms, full of art, legacies and love. … and each morning you are treated to a wonderful spread which Signora Isabella lays out, including freshly baked cakes, fresh fruit, and milky foam to top your steaming cup of coffee.

This room was exactly as described and beautiful. The house has so much history and the host was so lovely. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast of yoghurt with honey and cinnamon, fruit and pastries with coffee. I loved how traditional the property was and could have walked around the apartment looking at the walls and books for hours. The location was perfect for Lecce, only a few minutes walk from the best areas for restaurants and bars but far enough away that the property was very quiet and private. Would definitely recommend someone to stay here if they are interested in a traditional stay in an amazing location.

The parking was quite difficult to manoeuvre through a very narrow entrance. This isn't a big issue though, there is literally nothing else negative to say about this fantastic property!

Location was terrific and Isabella, the proprietress was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Shower was a bit small, but room and bathroom were spacious. Only drawback was that getting into the courtyard where there is limited parking is through a very narrow gateway. Also, be advised that instructions for what to do when you arrive will be sent via WhatsApp, not text.

Parking situation. We were lucky enough to be able to park in the courtyard, because street parking was very limited. But getting into the courtyard was through a very narrow passage and was nerve-wracking. This discouraged us from moving the car during our stay.

Palazzo Bernardini is beautiful, it is truly a special place to stay. It is filled with stunning art, books and amazing furniture. It is very atmospheric and we felt privileged to stay here. Our suite had access to a balcony and a terrace, a welcome retreat from heat. Isabella is very kind and we were sad that she was away for two days of our trip. However, she had arranged breakfast at a restaurant, 2 mins away which was very good. It is a great location for exploring Lecce on foot.

Our room and the Palazzo Bernadini was a wonderful experience. This home has been in the same family since the 15th/16th century. Every room is like a museum. The room and bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts featured hard boiled eggs, pastries, bread, fruit, fresh juices and coffee of your choice. Our opinion was this was the best area to be in with everything easily walkable.

The outside stairs were poorly lit. Signage into Palazzo Bernadini could be improved.

The best breakfast we have ever had in a B&B ... Isabella had the table laid out in a precise order with everything you would need, (and more), for a continental breakfast. Isabella was a fantastic hostess very helpful.

Car parking was little tricky and the one way street system in the old city hard to get used to ... but if you are nervous about driving in the old town's streets, you can get parking outside of the old city walls.

Location is perfect, room is very specious and beautiful, breakfast was good. I just wish they had more meat/ cheese options instead of sweets. Very quiet. Bed comfy, lots of storage, cattle and tea provided, which is fantastic.

We were asked to park on 7 minutes walk away on paid parking. The only reason we proffered this place to others was because it advertised free parking, which we didn't get. We were staying only for 3 nights and were away for most of the first day, and our second day was Sunday, so parking was free. Otherwise parking fee would add quite a lot to overall price of staying, plus parking machine didn't allow paying with credit card- only cash. Also I wish they had good quality down pillows. We used ours, otherwise I would end up with neck pain from uncomfortable pillows they have.. other than that- all was perfect

Palazzo Bernardini is in a perfect location set in the heart of the old town. Isabella our host invited us into her beautiful home and served us a lovely breakfast with a selection of cheese, hams, breads and pastries. Easy walking distance to all the sites. Restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance from the apartments.

The location was absolutely fantastic and we were able to park (first come basis) at the property. We had a super, huge room with a very comfortable bed in this majestic old home. While really big there only a wardrobe with hanging space, as the bottom drawers were full. It would benefit from some place to put one's clothes if staying for longer than a night. Loads of antiques and interesting memorabilia to look at. Water was plentiful and hot. Breakfast was alright but not exciting. Would stay there again for the location if we wanted to to go back to Lecce - which was one of our favourite cities.

Wonderful location on quiet street just around the corner from the Duomo and main pedestrian / shopping street. Large room with sitting area and balcony to a beautiful courtyard plus a shared terrace. Plentiful, traditional Lecce breakfast that was very good. The decor is an antique lovers dream (unfortunately that is not me) and history abounds in everything you see - definitely a loved family home! Also, a very gracious owner who gave guests a small token of thanks for staying!

Directions for checking in were not very clear - no signage, etc. but luckily the host was working off the courtyard and got us checked in.... The bed was not super comfortable.
