We stayed for 4 nights in April and the weather was most of the time horrible, but you can imagine how beautiful this island is in summer time. The hotel is at a 5 minute walking distance to the beach, it is also only 2 bus stops to the vaporetto stops and the center. We visited the main island every day and had no trouble at all with transportation. The rooms are quite old-school but yet very comfortable and receive a good amount of sunlight. A nice continental breakfast is served for 15€, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would choose this hotel if I get to visit Venice again.

The outside of the property was very pretty. The indoor decor had a classic look. The location was a short walk to the beach and easily walkable to the center of town. We also utilized the bus system once we figured it out. Our room was spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast had a great selection of food and Tipa, who bused the tables, was very sweet & friendly. We ate in the garden which was beautiful. Claudia, at the front desk was super helpful in answering the many questions we had.

Being that it was our first time in Venice (for a short stay), we felt a bit too removed from the heart of Venice. It took us time to get to the places we wanted to go. Learning the bus & water bus system was challenging & we often felt misguided with directions.

This hotel was fantastic. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was huge with a large terrace. Very comfy bed. Breakfast was terrific and a good price - with lots of food to choose from. The location was beautiful - only a 10 minute walk alongside the canal to the Vaporetta and port and 2 minutes to the beach. We enjoyed sightseeing all day in Venice and escaping home to Lido, a quieter and more relaxed place, at the end of the day. The waterbus home at sunset was a highlight. Highly recommended.

everything was just perfect. no complaints

Fantastic location, especially if you’re going to see a show at the Palazzo del Cinema. Clean and well maintained with attention to details. Wonderful staff. Beautiful garden with bar service. Renting bikes to explore the island was a great option with lovely weather. The area is very quiet though easy access (10-15min walk) from the main attractions. Rooms are well soundproofed and the air conditioning worked beautifully, making the room very comfortable.

There were only two outlets and no USB outlets. Not obligatory to have more, but would be a nice upgrade. We loved that the TV was small and unobtrusive, also because we don’t typically watch TV, but some might wish for a bigger TV if that’s an important feature.

Breakfast was a very good buffet served in the most attractive garden. It supplied a wide variety of hot and cold dishes - as good or better than any 4 star hotel. Our room was beautifully furnished in traditional Italian fashion and was very quiet. The location is superb on the Lido. Very close to a public beach and near to restaurants. One of the nearest was superb - Valentinos.

My only criticism would be a number of wasps when we were eating breakfast- almost inevitable at this time of the year, It was possible to eat inside in the dining room to avoid this,

Everything at La Meridiana was exceptional. The staff were very professional and especially friendly. The room was very comfortable and immaculate. I happened to be relaxing on the balcony when the maid was cleaning the room. After doing a great job on everything in the inside, she respectfully asked me to move a bit so she could vacuum the deck! The morning breakfast was delicious with a wonderful variety of pastries, juices, eggs, various coffees and teas. Off all the places we stayed in a two week trip to Italy, La Meridiana was the best.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, very close to the beach and to the centre of Lido. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were available 24/7. The beds and room were very comfortable. We didn't eat there but the breakfast option looked good too. The garden was such a nice place to hang out, beautifully maintained and quiet with lots of room to eat, drink, smoke or just relax. There was also a small cozy bar there that was open all night which was very convenient. All in all it was a wonderful stay in a fantastic hotel and the staff were amazing. The decor was cool. The price was very reasonable, a great price anyway and particularly because of all of the aforementioned points.

The only minor fault I could find with the hotel, and it was very minor considering everything else was amazing, was just that the hotel was a little old and there wasn't much ventilation, but this didn't matter at all in the rooms because there were great windows with lovely and practical shutters and it didn't matter in the hotel itself either, so really just in the stairway and hallway.

Everything was great from the first moment we opened the hotel door. A very kind and warm welcome, the feeling that you are really taken care of, you are an important guest. I also liked that they ask if there are any allergies or food intolerance before arrival. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the room was cleaned and the bed made every day. Breakfast was delicious. My daughter especially liked that she could choose different drinks in the coffee machine - hot chocolate, cappuccino, etc. And of course an important thing - location. Vaparetto, restaurants, etc. within walking distance. Plus, if you're feeling particularly lazy, you can also take a few stops from the boat pier by bus, because the same ticket is valid for the boat.

The hosts Stella / Gianluca and the whole stuff are great people ! Very friendly and supportive they try to fulfill your needs and wishes you have. The house with its great traditional design of history is very close to the beach of the Lido or the Venice Cinema Festival area (max. around a 5min walk). Its a very calm and quiet place with a nice garden where you can sit outside and take your breakfast or your drinks at the evening. Within a 10/15min walk you reach the station where you can take the Vaporetto to Venice / San Marco or the Giardini Biennale/ 10min. If you look for a place away from tons of tourists and noise I would recommend the house a lot. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is great !!! Nothing to add. I will come again! Otto S.
