Sylvia and her son were very friendly and accommodating. more than 10 star. They are proactive, responsive, and always super helpful. They gave me great recommendations regarding tours, restaurants and how to travel the city. The room is spotlessly clean and with all facilities needed. breakfast is exceptionally good. Location is right in the middle of the town, close to everywhere. I would say choosing to stay at Donna Eleonora is one of the best choices I made during trip to Matera.

Location - you cannot beat that for the money it costs, not in Matera. Impeccable cleanliness. Great shower and water pressure. Very kind and helpful host. It's possible to leave the bags after checking-out if you are willing to explore the town on the day of check-out without carrying the bags with you. and btw, there is an excellent coffee and pastry bar - Bar Fortunello - just around the corner.

Would prefer if could do self-service at breakfast, felt a bit odd that every single piece of food was served by the host who was there asking which type of cheese, meat or yoghurt we would like. But don't want to make an issue of this because perhaps that was an expression of being polite from the host's side (albeit personally - as mornings are not the best part of my day - I would prefer I could approach food buffet on my own and be generally left to myself until that espresso kicks in :p ) But that's a minor thing which did not affect the generally positive view of the place.

the location was excellent an easy walk from the station and very close to the main attractions. the staff were exceptionally helpful taking the time to explain what to see and marking it on a map. the hosts kindly drove me to the bus stop. breakfast was delicious, plentiful and varied. wonderful shower and spotless. highly recommended.

They were very welcoming, didn’t seem to fussed about what time I turned up but messaged on the day to check so that was no stress. Nice little room, perfect for one. Breakfast included which was nice and they gave lots of tips/recommendations for the area. Quiet area but close to everything - would stay there again!

Location, facilities, breakfast, and most importantly parking were excellent. Check-in was ok.

Internet connection became disconnected and SMS, e-mail, and telephone message regarding this problem were never answered. This is unacceptable particularly as I was depending on the internet for what I am working on!

The B&B is really centric and a great starting point to explore the city. Great breakfast with a variety of pastry, focaccia, bread etc. which came in fresh in the morning. The coffee was also really good. The staff is really attentive and nice and you see that they are going above and beyond to give their guests a great time at their B&B. We also received useful information on where to explore the city when we checked in.

perfect location, close to city centre and other tourist attraction. Free or paid parking within 2 minutes from property. Staff provide great tips to visit city . we arrived extremely late at the property and staff re assured us that it isn’t an issue. and the welcome was very friendly with a smile!

Very gracious and helpful hosts. By Italian hotel standards, breakfast was excellent. I visited in the off-season, and the price I paid seemed very reasonable for the overall offering. Everything in the room was clean and modern. Hotel is on the edge of the historic centre and is a great compromise location which is very practical for access to Matera Sud railway station.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was good, I had a nice balcony and the air-conditioner worked well. It’s in a great location, easy to reach all the main attractions and there are some nice restaurants nearby.

The bed was a little too hard for my taste, I prefer a softer bed. And the TV was a bit small.

This B&B is located very close to the Sassi area. It is clean and modern with all the amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they gave us many tips and suggestions for sights to see, and also helped us with tour and restaurant reservations. One of our best stays on our Italy vacation.
