We had the most positive experience staying at Garibaldi Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by extremely friendly and genuinely helpful staff, who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a difference. The room and all common areas were immaculately clean, with daily cleaning service that was both discreet and thorough — something I really appreciated. And the location? Absolutely perfect. We can't emphasize this enough: location, location, location! There's a bus stop literally right in front of the hotel, making it incredibly easy and quick to get to Venice. It was the ideal base for exploring the city while enjoying the quieter charm of Mestre. Also, the area around the hotel is lovely, with friendly cafés, a great little bakery, a great pasticceria and it's just a short walk to the Mestre city centre — peaceful, convenient, and with a real neighborhood feel. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Garibaldi to anyone visiting Venice — we’ll definitely stay here again!

There's literally nothing we didn't like.

This small hotel is located in Mestre, offering a significantly cheaper option for booking than in Venice itself. The hotel offers a great connection to the Venice islands, as the bus station is literally at the main entrance. The hotel has its private parking which is free of charge. Rooms are very clean and in quite good shape, even though they appear somewhat dated. The staff is excellent; their service is exceptionally polite and professional. Breakfast is a memorable experience not to be missed. The hotel is just minutes away on foot from the pedestrian area of Mestre – make sure to visit it as well, as it's an excellent evening destination after a long day of walking around Venice.

Extremely helpful and nice staff, bus station to Mestre train station and Venezia right in front of the hotel, good breakfast, however pretty limited and if you stay multiple days in a row it might get boring eating the same thing every day, however the products were good, especially the cakes. Close to town's city center and to multiple restaurants and bars.

The most important negative was that the walls are pretty thin and you can hear absolutely anything like it is in the same room as you, rather small room, window view to the walls of another building. Only one small shop nearby with few products sold.

The hotel has real italian charm, it's very cozy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As hotel is located in Mestre, it's very quietly there and there aren't tourists crowds. The location is good - the bus stop is exactly opposite of the hotel, it takes 20 minutes to the centre (without trafic jam). But on the weekends could be trafic jam and the way by bus to the center will be up to 50 minutes. In the evenings it was always 15 minutes by bus from the centre to the hotel. Breakfasts are very good! In the description was told 'continental breakfast', so we didn't expect much. But it was a very good breakfast, which was served on the table according to our requirements by check-in (they ask to fill out the form what you prefer to have for the breakfast and what time it should be served). The hotel is clean, the bed was very comfortable, bed sheets are changed every 3rd day.

The bathroom is quite small and there is not much space for cosmetic. But as we came to the hotel only for a night it wasn't a big problem.

Very clean rooms; pleasant and helpful staff. The bus station is right in front of the hotel, located in a quiet neighborhood. Tickets for all public transportation (bus, vaporetto ect.) can be purchased at the hotel Parking is available. The bathroom is very clean but could benefit from a renovation.

Breakfast isn’t self-service, but rather served. This way, the staff puts everything on the table at once and table gets quite cluttered. Also some of the food gets cold if you drink coffee first- like me. Bed and shower are small. (Economy room)

The location is 20 mins into Venice by bus. Then it's about an hour's walk to St Marco's Square, or about 20 mins by vaporetti. While we were there there were crowds every day so often just standing room only, so travelling wasn't pleasant. The staff were very friendly and the receptionists extremely helpful. A lovely breakfast was provided at a pre booked time.

Some gluten free foods were provided but unfortunately no gluten free bread. There was fruit and eggs There were plenty of breads and cakes for the majority.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, I really appreciate that they gave us a little something for the go, as we had to check out before the breakfast. The breakfast in the hotel was also very pleasant, the small patio area creates a nice atmosphere. It's also nice that we were able to purchase tickets for the bus in the hotel, and the bus stop is literally right outside the hotel, so getting to the Island of Venice was very easy. The beds are comfortable and the AC worked very well.

The size of the bathtub in our room. I am on the bigger side and once I sat in it I couldn't move, my mother who is much slimmer than me also had a slight problem with it. It felt a bit like a bathtub for a child, and because there was no shower curtain around it I was uncomfortable while bathing because I was afraid to flood the bathroom.

Receptionists were very nice and helpful. Well placed near the town center and bus station to Venice is in front of the hotel. Tickets can be bought from reception, which is a great plus. The room was clean, and AC did its job. Fresh red orange juice was delicious. The human resource is the greatest asset of the hotel, in my opinion.

The bathroom was really small, one of the smallest bathrooms I've seen. The garage is narrow, and you have to fold side mirrors to put the car in and have to be small to get out of the car. Breakfast was fine, but a strange way to serve it. We had to fill a paper with what we want for breakfast, and we had the same thing every day 1 salami slice, 2 ham slices, 2 cheese slices, 1 scrambled egg, butter and jam and a lot of cakes, actually more cakes than food was the impression. And of course drinks. For all of these, we got 1 small baguette and 1 slice of toasted bread. So you have to ask for more bread which isn't very pleasant. For 2 days it's fine, but more than 2 days would be like in hedgehog day movie. Beds aren't very comfortable, quite bouncy. I imagine water beds feel like that.

The room was spotless, very modern and comfortable, with all the necessary facilities such as a minibar, ac, tv. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and clean with a hairdryer and lots of lowels which were changed every day. The room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was good, buffet style but served by the staff at the table. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel sold bus and vaporetto tickets which came in handy. The bus stops to and from Venice are literally right in front of the hotel. It''s a 20-25 minute ride to Venice. Overall, a wonderful experience. We recommend the hotel wholeheartedly!

Exceptional location right next to the bus station that leads to the "sea" part of Venice. Extremely friendly staff who give you instructions in a very clear way so that even if you want you can't go wrong:) About fifty meters away is the old, beautifully decorated center of Mestre, which you can also see and find good pizza restaurant. I needed accommodation only for overnight guests, and for that purpose it was excellent, and the staff was, once again, extremely accommodating. Free parking at the hotel even though we were in the peak season. You are exempt from paying to enter Venice as a guest of a hotel located in the municipality of Venice, but the staff will inform you about this.

Small rooms with "stylish" furniture from the time of old Venice, but unfortunately the employed master decorator was obviously from Bulgaria or Romania :) Moderately comfortable beds that were enough for rest after a whole day of walking around Venice. All in all, if you just want to sleep, given the free parking, friendly staff and proximity to the bus station (you can buy the ticket at the hotel), this place is highly recommended.
