My stay at Hotel Palazzo Delle Stelline in Milan was fantastic. Its proximity to the city's attractions and train stations made exploring incredibly convenient. The breakfast was delightful, the cleanliness impeccable, and having a small terrace with the room was a lovely bonus. Overall, the offer that I took it was great value for money.
However, my stay was marred by a significant inconvenience: the elevator was out of order for all five days of my visit. Being on the 3rd floor meant tackling 83 steps every time, which could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Additionally, the hotel's wifi barely worked, so if internet access is crucial for your stay, it's advisable to have your own connection. Pleasant experience.

The location of the hotel to the Duomo was great. Tram stops easily accessible if needed, but the walk was a pleasant one. Breakfast was a self service buffet that was regularly replenished. The room was clean and a reasonable size, and the bathroom small but suitable. The receptionist was helpful. A recommendation for anyone travelling, check booking tickets for certain things before you travel. The Last Supper painting is two mins walk away from the hotel but was unfortunately fully booked, as was the Scala Theatre.
The water temperature in the bathroom was warm rather than hot, not the end of the world though. Coffee/tea facilities in the room would have been a bonus.

The bedroom was ok but the window was blocked and we couldn't activate, freely, the air conditioning. Limited in time and intensity

Very convenient location, short walk from Cadorna train station and Metro, short tram ride (or longer walk) to Teatro alla Scala (our primary destination in Milan) and across the street from Santa Maria della Grazie. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel building is historic but the interior is modern, clean, well-furnished. The hotel staff were very responsive and helpful. For example, our room was too hot and we couldn't open the window; the housekeeper promptly came and showed us how to open the window and advised us on managing the heating/cooling controls. Other than the temperature, the room was very comfortable. Good breakfast in a spacious breakfast room.
Minor issue: one should be aware that this is a conference hotel. There was an event while we were there that involved exhibits in the wide hallways which made it a bit more complicated to move around the hotel; we had to backtrack to get to breakfast one morning. They also had an evening event with a band in the courtyard, rather loud in the rooms. But they stopped playing promptly at 10 P.M. and quickly cleared the courtyard and got quiet. All this was only a slight inconvenience, not a reason to avoid this hotel, which was overall very satisfactory.

Perfect location in Milano! We stayed in a suite for 5 nights, late August. The room was spacious, well-equiped and clean. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Hotel Palazzo Delle Stelline and would consider it again as an option for our next trip to Milano.
Air conditioning is poor. It is a central system that is automatically turned off during the night and stays off until noon. This made our first night (when outside temperature was high, above 30 degrees Celsius) really difficult. For the rest of our stay, outside temperatures were 22-28C and the air conditioning inside our room was pleasant. There are only 2 lifts in the building and one was out of order during our entire stay, so carrying our luggage's up to and down from the second floor was not enjoyable!

Excellent friendly and polite staff who dealt with requests very quickly. Breakfast was wonderful and there is plenty of it. I loved my stay at Hotel Stelline.
The lift was absolutely tiny and not suitable for those with claustrophobia however there were plenty of staircases to use - some winding staircases and some wide stone staircases. On the last day I put my suitcase in the lift and ran down the stairs to meet it to save me carrying my suitcase back downstairs. The air conditioning was also not great. It was turned off twice a day which wasn't really a problem for me, however as a result it did not change the room temperature much and there was no aircon in the main corridors so I felt heat challenged for much of my stay.

Staff very helpful and available all the time. Beautiful hotel with big halls, incredible views either from its patio or from the around landmarks. The room was very comfortable and big, did not miss anything that we could need. Recommended to stay plus the buffet breakfast is very nice and you have plenty of options.
The following is just to mention something that could improve but definitely not essential and they did not worsen our stay at the hotel: Despite having a central kind of aircon, it was not enough to fight vs the extreme heat from August and it could not be regulated, but it was alright. Also to mention that the place is huge! and symetrical! so in the beginning it was difficult to find the correct way to the room or exit.

Location!! We only went to Milán to see the Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci, the hotel is right across the street from it. It is a PERFECT location if you are looking to visit the most iconic places in the old quarters. Walking distance to everywhere and the tram line is also available. Breakfast was good, the hotel it's kept clean. Views from the room balcony were amazing, no views to the courtyards as described by other guests, perhaps I didn't get the best room.
Staff was not welcoming AT ALL, not quite rude, but no hospitality sense either. Although we had a very short stay, we didn't find the staff welcoming to guests. Now, the facilities: please have in mind that this used to be an 300+ year-old monastery, it's GIGANTIC! and was probably last decorated 20-30 years ago.... if not more. The facility/furniture is run-down, the carpet is old and the rooms have not been updated in decades, A/C only runs from 3pm to 2am,. They keep it clean and tidy though. If you are OK with this, keep on mind that this is what you'll find.

Nice size room for the cost. Also had a little balcony that we didn't know about, which gave us some lovely views in the evening. Staff all seemed friendly and the breakfast options were nice too.
The balcony has no furniture so you can't sit out there. It was also a bit tricky to find the hotel. There's a small sign at the side of the door but that was the only signage so we walked past it a couple of times trying to find it. We also thought the air conditioning didn't deal with the heat well. We were there in 28 degree weather and woke up a lot in the night.
