The hospitality shown by the owner Gaspare and Monica was fabulous. They greeted us at check in, every morning at breakfast, and throughout the day. Gaspare gave us directions to restaurants and the Lemon Trail and to Ravello, truly a wonderful host. The Caporal Hotel is a 4 minute walk to the port and city center. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable...pillows a bit hard. (Typical European style pillow) . Noise level was low between 8 pm to 7 am, once the motorcycles stopped. Breakfast was a wonderful array of pastries, croissants, yogurt, fruits and coffee and teas. We did not go away hungry! Literally, the attentiveness from Gaspare with his friendly demeanor was priceless!

This is a hotel with its Italian tradition, characters and warm hospitality. The hotel delivered good quality and value for its price in Amalfi, rooms and facility here are fiting it's class and kept super clean for it's age. If you are an experienced traveller to Amalfi, you would know this location is golden: best food and restaurants around, better beach front, a quiet escape from crowded Amalfi after you tired day, nearest charming neighbor town to all main sightseeing points. Here is well connected by the ferry and bus to everywhere. Especially to mention that, the old respectful gentleman - the owner of the hotel, he is the jewel of the entire busienss. Don't want use his real name for the privacy purposes. He and his team are super responsible for every one of his guests. Follow his advises, listen to his words, enjoy his stories, he will bring you the genuine Italy. . Highly recommended!

The staff were amazing and very accommodating. They were very helpful with information regarding the area and how to get around. On the last morning of our stay we had to leave early. The manager of the hotel opened breakfast early so we could have breakfast before we left. The hotel was close to ferry terminal and bus stop. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance and a self service laundry around the corner.

The breakfast was served with a smile and the staff were excellent and very friendly. This is family run and if you want to meet the locals and hear about its amazing history this is the place to go to. Gasperi can speak four languages, therefore it was wonderful to hear what it is like to live on the Amalfi coastline. They have the lemon walk which takes you from one village to the next and also 1400 steps to Ravello where our host was married.

It it close to the beach and restaurants and everything was to hand.

Everything was great, hotel Caporal is on the great location to travel around Amalfi coast. Only few steps from bus station, and 2 minutes from the port and beaches. Delicious breakfast (cake, croasan..) coffee. Very kind and helpful owner.

The hotel is little old,so it will be more better if they renovated the room. Because the location on this hotel is perfect.

This bustling little hotel room was a wonderful place to stay on our long hike from Salerno. The hotel owner greeted us warmly even though we arrived very late for check in, and our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. You are just steps away from several great restaurants and cafes and the public beach in Minori where you can get on the ferry to go to your next destination. 10/10 for convenience. We will be back one day!

Very close to the beach and the bus stop is right next to the hotel. We could almost see the sea from our balcony. The staff were so kind and helpful. We will definitely come back. The prices were very reasonable. link.siospace.com/paris we add photos soon

The hotel owner was extremely helpful and such a warm, funny and welcoming person. He gave us tips on transportation and bus/boat schedules every day. It felt like our uncle taking care of us, but always joking around. We already miss him dearly, I'm glad we took pictures with him when we left. The accommodation is very budget friendly for the Amalfi coast and also for the strategic location. The bus to Amalfi stops 30 meters away from the hotel and the dock is also just right around the corner, which was vital for us, since we are always late. :) The room was clean and nice and it had all the basic facilities. Our room was cleaned and our towels were replaced every day. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good with plenty of sweets and also cheese and ham, and amazing coffee. I have already recommended this hotel to all my friends who plan on going to the Amalfi coast and I will definitely stay here every time I'll go back (soon hopefully). Thank you for your hospitality and everything you did for us. We'll never forget you! xX

The owner is a kind, exceptionally helpful man. The breakfast is great and the hotel is perfectly clean.

The hotel is a little dated but that is not a problem because everything works well.

Didnt like that you were so close to main street and had to walk a little to cross the street - but that didnt deter us from exploring the lovely pathways and narrow streets.
