Superb place. Comfortable and good bathrooms. Swimming pool a bonus. Lovely courtyard where you can take an excellent breakfast - everything you could possibly want. Staff extremely welcoming and helpful and good recommendations for places to eat- we had an excellent pizza. Good location too for Florence and local ceramic museum. Travelling with dog - plenty of space to walk and a good choice of room so we could come and go through our own outside without having to go through reception.

Squeaky clean rooms in a serene environment, and the historic building is beautiful, with quality building materials we just don’t have in the U.S. The staff were friendly, and I loved the ability to rent a bicycle for free to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. That was a dream!

The location is not bad, but it is certainly a bit challenging to get around without a car, and arranging a taxi (because the taxi unions have limited share-riding services like Uber) is incredibly expensive and unreliable because the taxis come from the larger town of Empoli. I luckily found a ride with another hotel guest when I had to leave for the Pisa airport.

very nice setting, really enjoy being in this old repurposed building, good restaurant across the street, was here 7 years ago which was also a great stay

room was very warm even with thermostat off. with the window open had a mosquito issue. when discussed with front desk they turned off the heat system and provided a plug in mosquito solution that solved the issues.

Location is stunning, hotel has it's own restaurant but we dined in the one just literally across the road for a change of scenery. Hotel is friendly, clean and welcoming. Like staying with family. Rooms are good size and comfortable.

Sadly mosquitos were invading Tuscany on our trip - we struggled to clear our room of them. hotel did everything they could to help.

Wonderful setting with internal courtyard and breakfast area outside. Steeped in history - but modern facilities. Helpful with wheelchair access. Good breakfast - convenient restaurant opposite with excellent choice of food. Next village - Montelupo - was/is potting village for Florence - do not miss the amazing ceramic museum!

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Nice breakfast with great coffee. With 40 degrees heat, the swimming pool was a real bonus.

Bathrooms a little dated. For the rest it was all good. You need a car though.

A beautiful and simple family-run hotel nestled in the Tuscan hills that was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The rooms were excellent, breakfasts were delicious and the staff were so welcoming, especially the owner, who really went above and beyond to make our stay really special!

Everything. Beautiful and across from a fabulous restaurant! Nice respite from city. Between Pisa and Florence.Great breakfast! Extremely kind and helpful host. Great way to end the day and walk over for an exquisite dinner. Lovely outdoor patio as well.

Couldn’t stay longer.

It’s very quaint and quiet. The morning breakfast is great and the staff friendly. Across the street is a great restaurant.

It’s good there is a good restaurant across the street because nothing else is nearby in walking distance

Lovely hotel staff, very friendly and accommodating, rooms were clean and although we had a standard room it was fine for our needs, breakfast was really good too
