Laura and Giuseppe are extremely welcoming hosts. The breakfast was fully homemade even down to Laura baking a cake each morning for us. We had our breakfast in different beautiful classical romantic dining rooms / music rooms with the balcony doors open so we could hear the sounds of Palermo’s energetic life outside. Our bedroom had a fabulous original ornate cast iron/ marble balcony overlooking the characteristic cobble stone street and within touching distance of a past century church building, which was beautifully lit up in the evenings. We would arrive home late evenings to hear classic music flowing through the restored monastery halls which complimented the atmosphere of the restored building. Outside our door and a short walk was the world famous four marble fountains crossroads, numerous incredibly beautiful museums, restaurants, coffee shops and retails shores. Palermo is incredibly beautiful city one building is more intriguing and beautiful than the next. The government has put huge money into the city restoring it sensitively to its original state. I would highly recommend the Hop on Hop off buses to see the city and mountain villages. One of our best city holiday breaks mainly because of Laura and Giuseppe’s kindness and their beautiful accommodation.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at B&B Santa Caterina. The historic building is beautiful and our room was just perfect with a balcony view of the old church opposite and excellent facilities. Our host Laura was most welcoming and very helpful. She provided clear instructions on how to get there and get around Palermo. Breakfast each morning was a real treat with something different and delicious on offer each day. The location of the B&B is amazing... not far from Quattro Canti and the historic centre. Perfect for us. We would highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you Laura.

What's not to love about this place? The hosts were so pleasant and personable. The breakfast was a treat!!! These rooms are located in a historic convent which has been in the host's family for years. The rooms are furnished with antiques and feel lived in, but true to the period of the building. Everything was clean.

Not a complaint but more of a head's up. The hosts are working artists and performers with an in-house gallery room, filming movies and such. Creative activities may be happening in the evenings. I come from a creative background so it did not bother me. Noise was not an issue at all.

We were welcomed into this beautiful place (an old monastery) by the owner who immediately made us feel at home; the whole place has a bohemian feel, it’s full of art and beautiful furniture and our room was no exception. We had a balcony and had a glass of wine there at the end of our evening. The location is perfect - right near the centre of the historic area and the owners recommended a local bistro, where we had a delicious meal. A memorable stay at a beautiful place - thank you so much!

Nothing - maybe an extra pillow? Just a personal thing

Well, the location is quite perfect - a short walk from the station, and a much shorter one from Pretoria fountain and all the Old Town food and culture opportunities. Plus the church view, bang outside your window! We didn't use the balcony much, but it's there, a table and two chairs, and it's perfect for watching the hustle and bustle of the world below. The building itself is marvellous, and the concert room, featuring 50 or so seats, is where we were served our breakfast (thank you, Martina)! At the only table there, with some classical music in the background... Plus the breakfast itself was A TREAT every single time (we stayed five nights), varied and plentiful, both sweet and savoury, including some home made fruit preserves and pastry! I was truly shocked reading a review by someone somplaining about the breakfast and needing the second one afterwards! Laura is a very kind and helpful host, who anticipates your needs and requests. The online contact we initiated months before the trip (and intensified during it) was absolutely flawless. Grazie mille!❤️

Well, the room was rather dark and the vintage furniture rather impractical, with little or poorly accesible storage space. I understand it is a historical building, but in this particular case a marriage of old and modern would be a much better solution for the guests. As a big guy I suffered with the shower cabin size and the bed length, but that's just me.

This B&B is centrally located and very convenient for visiting all the historic buildings and churches. The rooms are facing a spectacular church and have the balconies to enjoy the view with a glass of wine. The stuff and the owners treat you as you are part of their family. They helped with food suggestions and tips on visiting the city, the beach and made us an yummy homemade breakfast each morning. Special shout out to Marti!!! Will definitely stay here again.

The property was just lovely, very historic, and our rooms were spacious and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the street. The absolute stand out though was the kindness and attentiveness of our hosts, Laura and Giuseppe, and of Martina who welcomed us to the property. Martina walked us through the property and our rooms after a lovely conversation about where we were from, and sent us restaurant recommendations that we followed to our delight! Laura was extremely attentive at breakfast which was one of the best I’ve ever had, much less in accommodation whilst traveling. I would not hesitate to recommend the B&B to anyone coming to the region - we just loved it!

Lovely historic building in old town Palermo - great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and quiet overnight, with a balcony looking over the street. Breakfast provided each morning was simple but plentiful, and great coffee. Our bed was very comfortable.

We found the air conditioning not as cool as we would have liked, as it was quite warm during our stay. Would still recommend this B&B!

We stayed in the family room that has separate bedrooms, Queen and 2 singles with a balcony in each room over looking bustling Palermo below. Laura and Guiseppe are just lovely. The house has been in their family for generations with memorabilia and antiques everywhere. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location is right in the old town within reach of all the sites. Laura gave a great recommendation for dinner where all the locals go. We loved our stay here.

Our hosts Laura and giuseppe were both amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more. Our 4 day visit was like being welcomed into the home of a family friend. The location, the tasty breakfast, the beautiful building, the traditional decor, the views of the monastery, the friendly “guard” dog Juffa, the immaculate daily cleanliness. It was a true Sicilian experience and we’ll definitely be coming back. We were so sad to leave.
