B&B Tarasia was very conveniently located between Old and New Ragusa, about 15 minute walk from the train station. The en suite room was on the ground floor which helps for those with luggage (like me!) and there is a large well-equipped kitchen with basic breakfast things (kettle, coffee machine, jams and packeted pastries). Pippo, the owner, went out of his way to be helpful and we used Google translate to get by, as my Italian is very basic, but he met me at the train station in his car as l had asked how far it was to walk and on Sunday, when there are no trains, he took me again to the (further) bus station to get a bus to my next destination. For this l was very grateful! I would stay here again on another visit as everything was near perfect!

The only issue l had was with the wifi, which was non existant in the bedroom so l had to go to the kitchen each time l needed to use it. There was only a fan to use in the bedroom, but Ragusa was cooler than other places l had stayed in, so l didn’t need it.

The room was nice, everything you needed. Breakfast was self-service, put out ready for each morning to help yourself (packet pastries/French bread, jams etc). Location-wise, it was ideal for access to Ragusa Ibla - being that end of Ragusa - but close enough to restaurants (within 200m) where it was if you didn't want a lot of steps! Owner was very friendly and courteous, communicating via Google translate (for me, as very little Italian). Property was very good value.

The Host, he introduced himself as Pipo, was very friendly and thorough in explaining everything about the accommodation in detail. Pipo offered a cup of tea or coffee when I arrived, nice gesture and always welcome! I stayed for one night. Check-in and -out were uncomplicated. The place is clean, well equipped and close to eating places in Ragusa as well as the sites in Ibla

Parking is not as easy as one might want it to be but I found a spot - whether that was quite in accordance with the traffic regulations, remains to be seen. Breakfast consisted of tea/coffee and some packed, long-life pastries - not unusual for this part of the world

Pippo was very helpful, meeting me at the property and making sure I knew how everything worked. The location is good, not far from the cathedral.

Location is excellent, easy to find and within walking distance of important destinations in Ragusa. Self service breakfast also appreciated, but don’t expect a patisserie/cafe experience. The BEST thing about this booking is how wonderful Peppo was helping me solve a transportation problem regarding departing Ragusa on a Sunday. Not possible using public transportation! Since I don’t speak Italian ( and even though Peppo doesn’t speak English), he helped me contact an Italian only speaking driver who was willing to drive me to Siracusa on a Sunday. And also tried to find—unfortunately unsuccessfully—another driver who wasn’t quite as expensive. All of this took much of his time, but he was very willing to help. Much appreciated!

The bed wasn’t the best. But the room was very quiet so I slept well nonetheless.

The location was great, and it was very clean, the access to the kitchen and small breakfast included in the price was a huge plus! Host welcomes you and explains everything at the spot.

Everything was perfect: location, room, cleanliness, breakfast and access to a common kitchen and fridge and especially the kindness and service of Pippo. The temperature in the house is naturally cool without AC. The center of Ragusa and of Ragusa-Ibla (via stairs) are within walking distance. Never used a bus, but avoided the hottest hours.

Very kind host who cares about the stay and adapt his plans to your personal needs. It was a nice stay and it is absolutely recommendable.

The door to the floor is not soundproofed so that activities of other people in the apartment are considerably hearable.

The owner of the hostel is sooo helpful. It s so close to Ragusa Ibila. and the hostel is amazing. you don't need to think so much, rent this place🤩

When the owner knew I was coming in by train he offered to pick me up there. It was really helpful as it was raining.

Breakfast was do-it-yourself. Make coffee and eat pastries in plastic.
