Location. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic friendly helpful and efficient staff - particularly checking in and out. Big comfortable bed. Public areas and outdoor spaces.

Very un-italian and given the high ratings for cleanliness probably a one off, but our room was very dusty which I discovered when I dropped something which rolled under the bed. It clearly had not been touched for many days. The mirror and some ledges had thick layer of fluff and dust. As I say we were staying just one night so didn't expect a luxurious room. Would still highly recommend this hotel though.

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The location was good and you could walk everywhere easily. There was breakfast which was sufficient to keep you going till lunchtime.

I had asked for a quiet room on the top floor. There is only one level upstairs. The room we were allocated was lovely but noisy as there is a bar outside downstairs. The bar didn't close until 12.30. It was only people talking but it kept me off my sleep. We asked for another, quieter room but the staff can't do anything without the owners consent so it wasn't until the following day we were moved to another room. It was huge and very nice but we had to pay an extra £100 for it which was fine for us but maybe difficult for others.

We have travelled to Italy on five occasions, this hotel is by far the best we have ever stayed in during these visits. The staff were excellent, the breakfast was great (providing a wonderful start to the day and the breakfast staff were always willing to assist including the supply of chocolates on our last day. The rooms were spacious with great beds and roomy bathroom. The hotel was close to everything including the train station. The hotel has areas where you can sit in comfort and listen to music and the artwork adds to the ambience. The price including the breakfast was excellent.

There is nothing that is a negative to this hotel.

Excellent service at breakfast, which is a large continental breakfast (cakes, fruit, etc.), and good cappuccino. When we arrived we wanted a second floor room rather than a first floor and they were very accommodating.

Just be careful to note the situation with parking; the hotel is just into the ZTL, and you will have to get them to fill out a permit so you can enter. This can be done retroactively. You can drop your stuff off, and then go park in one of the municipal lots, which they will arrange the permit for.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff was on the ball. Building is fascinating old palazzo with many (many!) rooms. It also has a church/chapel on the ground floor -- interesting to see a sign that says "rooms this way, church that way"! Beautiful courtyard. The staff found me a place to park there.

My room was very small. Someone was placing a copy of the very right leaning Catholic newspaper "La Verita" on the piano between the reception. It changed every day, so I assume that was the hotel staff. The cover one day had a picture of John Wayne when he was about 40 and his daughter today, and the caption said, "My father would vote for Trump because Biden is a disaster." Made me laugh, but if they're looking to be a romantic getaway, they might want to rethink that part!

Location was excellent for exploring Ravenna on foot. Rich and full breakfast with plenty of fruit and a real Italian coffee bar. Pleasant common area with appropriate background music. A chapel for daily prayers. The place used to be an orphanage for girls; it is 10 min on foot from the train station. Bicycles and umbrellas can be borrowed for the day.

The gym was not operational. With so much fruit available, no fresh fruit juices (spremute) were offered at breakfast. The staff is hit and miss, some are very attentive, others less so.

We booked a large room with a ceiling fresco. The sight when lying at the bed was mind-blowingly beautiful. This is a rare experience which I can just recommend. The location in walking distance to the Ravenna highlights is also a plus. Finally, the staff is extraordinarily friendly. I forgot some clothes at my departure, and the staff helped in an outstanding manner so that my lost items were quickly sent to my next destination on my journey. I will certainly book the hotel (and a fresco room) again when I come to Ravenna next time.

This hotel had tremendous character and comfort with an excellent if not, totally superb staff. We wish we had stayed in Ravenna longer than one night before we caught our cruise ship. Daniello treated us like family arriving to his home when we arrived late one evening. Most accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. The courtyards are beautiful would definitely stay in this hotel again.

There’s nothing not to like about this hotel or it’s staff or it’s location. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Breakfast : good, helpful staff during the serving times. Room : very comfy, well isolated from the exterior (temperature and sound - there'se a road nearby and a clear difference with windows open or closed). Huge bathroom. Location : very very central, walking distance from everything.

Limited parking places and no parking partnership - i recommend you phone well in advance to book a place inside the property because otherwise it's not an easy town to find covered parkings ans they cost about 20€/day

Beautiful property conveniently in walking distance from train station. Staff is gracious, especially the waiter at breakfast every morning, and the breakfast itself is lovely with range of healthy foods and in a beautiful dining room. The whole hotel is very elegant, and my room was very nice, comfortable, quiet. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are visiting lovely Ravenna. I would definitely stay here again, and probably will!
