Gianluca and his staff are the nicest, most heartwarming people we've met. Always greeting us with a smile and accommodating our every need. Breakfast had an incredible atmosphere and view, with freshly made eggs (with cheese, ham, and bacon!) and freshly toasted bread. There were fruits, yoghurt, tea, coffee, croissants, prosciutto, cheese, three types of jam, Nutella, honey, and of course butter. So delicious. Best B&B breakfast I've ever had. The room is decorated with so much love and many details. Spacious and clean! The beds are so comfortable. We didn't hear anything from other neighbours, rooms or outside. The location of the B&B is a dream. It's just a 10-15min walk from the St. Peter's basilica and literally next to the Ottaviano metro station. Many nice restaurants in the area. Outside of the room, in the reception area, there was tea and some biscuits. The host Gianluca booked the taxis for us, made personalized plans on maps, and offered an easy and comfortable check-out with luggage storage. His recommendations and tips were always on point, he was always available via WhatsApp. Extremely kind host who loves doing his job! His staff are also amazing!! We've never felt so welcomed!

Really tiny suggestion but the TV could've been connected to the internet - that way, the smarthub/apps could've been used.

Casa Martini is a great family-run small hotel/B&B. Because it's small, it doesn't have the amenities of a large hotel (no pool, gym, super-elaborate breakfast, etc). That said, the rooms are clean and comfortable, including the beds and shower, with good wifi and good sound-proofing against street noise. There's a cute breakfast room at the roof in which an eggs to your liking-toast-cold cuts-croissant-drinks-fruit breakfast is served. There's also a small common kitchen with complementary tea and cookies as well as a small library. The staff is great: the breakfast staff remembered our preferences, and owner Gianluca communicates quickly and clearly. He was also very helpful in advising on tourist attractions and pointing out the best walking routes. One of the best things about Casa Martini is its location. It's a mere 10 min. walk from the Vatican (we hung out at St Peter's square quite a bit, great spot to watch people), and right next to metro stop Ottaviano, which really adds to your mobility. As everywhere in Rome, there are numerous good restaurants nearby.

Casa Martini is on the fourth (top) floor of a non-descript building which from the outside does not indicate there's a hotel inside. We arrived late at night and given that there is no sign of Casa Martini at the outside of the building, we really wondered if we were at the right place. For future guests: there's a sign for the British school at a ground-floor window and a 24/7 bakery right next door (staircase going down from street level; awesome little store, we recommend the pesto rice balls). The entrance to Casa Martini is the main big brown double doors. Inside, go right to the elevator, 4th floor, and right again out of the elevator.

Casa Martini is a charming, family-managed guest house located just a 5-minute walk from the Vatican and 100 meters from the metro. Situated on the 4th floor, our room faced the inner courtyard, ensuring a peaceful stay with no street noise. Despite its simplicity, the room was welcoming, spacious, and ideal for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children). The beds were very comfortable, and the room featured two air conditioners, allowing us to adjust the temperature to our liking. A large closet with a mini bar provided ample storage space. We enjoyed a rich continental breakfast served on the rooftop terrace, which was beautifully green and inviting. The breakfast, served at your table, was surprisingly abundant, including omelets, fruits, croissants, and more, although it did repeat itself. One of the standout features of our stay was the host, Gianluca, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. He provided invaluable advice on daily routes, attractions, and dining options. Casa Martini may be a small family guest house, but it played a significant role in making our stay in Rome exceptional. Thank you, Gianluca and Connie!

Nothing to point out

Our experience was absolutely great! Everything was just perfect! The location is super good. All the main attractions are in a 50-60 min walking distance. Vatican is just in 10 min walking from the hotel. There is a metro station just one block away from the hotel, and several bus lines, so you can get to any place easily. Both are very comfortable and easy to use. The room was very nice, cosy and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. Everything super clean (the room was cleaned daily!). You have shampoo and shower gel, amazing white towels, air conditioner, little fridge and a coffee machine in the room. There is also a common kitchen which is open 24 hours a day. You can enjoy some tea or coffee with tasty cookies at any time. The breakfast also deserves to be mentioned as one of the most positive things of our stay. It is served on the roof terrace of the building, and is very complete. You get a good variety of tasty things, that are served by the anfitrión and his small team. It was a perfect start of the day. The atmosphere was very friendly, we really felt like at home. My 2-year old son misses a lot this beautiful “tradition” of having breakfast on the terrace 😊😊😊 And THE ANFITRIÓN GIANLUCA is the best of the best! From the very first moment he was sooooo friendly and helpful. He helped us with the airport transfer (which is very recommendable by the way). He explained us where to go, what to see, how to get, where to eat, etc… He was always available for anything we might need… THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for having made our stay in Rome unforgettable! If only we had a chance to come back to Rome one day, we wouldn’t hesitate: this is the right place to stay!

It is impossible not to fall in love with it. Everything was perfect.

We have stayed in several locations and accommodations in Rome and from now on Casa Martini will be the ONLY place we stay! We had never stayed in the Vatican area before and it's really an ideal location to access everything one comes to Rome to see and do. Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable - best beds of our Italian tour. The rooftop breakfast is the ultimate standout - it's hard to get teenage boys up and moving in the morning but they jumped for that. Gianluca and his very kind staff had terrific recommendations and went out of their way to respond to our needs.

The location was great for us, away from the main tourist areas and a really welcoming haven after a long day sightseeing. The metro station is close by so it’s easy to get around. Gianluca, the owner, is a softly spoken gentleman always ready to support with his extensive knowledge and advice. The team were also fantastic, thank you Lisbeth for the warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and modern. We also liked being able to use the kitchen to make a cup of tea whenever we wanted - we are English! Good also to have a satisfying breakfast - great omelette especially.

Being very picky, some simple shelves or drawers to put our clothes into would be very welcome as we stayed several days. I think other rooms had this. There was a wardrobe though.

The owner is an amazingly friendly person with so much knowledge about Rome, who gave us so much information about how to make the most of our stay. The breakfast was superb and always nice and fresh with lots of variety. The staff were all super friendly and polite. The place is lovely and comfortable, impeccably clean. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. Lovely to go with a family, couple or alone. Would definitely recommend staying here. And would come back anytime. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Everything was amazing!

Overall the friendliness and helpfulness of Gianluca. Also the easy access to the metro, particularly as it made the journey from Roma Termini so fast and straightforward. We liked the area as it offered a welcome respite from the crowded more touristy centre. It offered a great choice of restaurants that catered to locals as well as to tourists (as recommended by Gianluca); easy walking to the Vatican; and a short walk to the Mercato dell 'Unita.

Breakfast choices were on the limited side. We would have preferred a proper 'italian' choice of coffees and more fruit options.

The painted ceiling was gorgeous and the main bed comfortable, however the single beds in the adjoining room had rather hard mattresses. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. The atmosphere at breakfast was so lovely. The area is away from the main tourist area, but still close to all public transport and facilities, so we got to go to some genuine Italian restaurants, as well as some fantastic restaurants that the staff recommended. Will definitely book there again.

The air conditioning didn't fully cool the room, but that was my only complaint.

The location of the accommodation is very good, and the Vatican City can be reached in 10 minutes by foot. You can take UBER to the main attractions in Rome within 20 minutes. There are many choices of restaurants around. The staff is very enthusiastic from the moment you check in. The accommodation includes breakfast. Although it cannot be compared with star hotels, it is nutritious and filling, especially the dining environment on the top floor is very first-class. The internal facilities are all there. The weather in Rome in July is very hot, and the air conditioning in the accommodation is very cool.
