good location, 20 minutes walk from the Vatican, close to a supermarket and a station, convenient to get to Fiumicino airport. Breakfast is from 7 to 9.30, the same every day but you will find something to choose from. The room is clean and comfortable, you can borrow an iron at the reception. Responsive staff and what is important for me is the possibility of checking in at night.

The first night I got a room next to some pump and it was humming all night and I couldn’t sleep. In the morning I told about this and they changed my room to another one. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room to drink tea when the bar is closed.

The hotel is situated on top of the road, so you will need a bit of hiking up if you don't have a car. The nearest metro is around 6-7min walk and you will need to brave the heat to get to the ticket machines. The nearest supermarket if you need one is around 4-5mins, you will need to go down and back up again. The breakfast has limited choices, I wish there were more pastries to choose from. Noise is an issue. You can hear everything that goes thru the toilet of the next room.

Nice hotel close to vatican, far from the city center (5.5 km to coliseum) but bus close by. Room is nice and big, tiny TV but you won't use it and only one plug socket (at least my room) located at the bathroom

We liked how the Reception team looked after us despite of the error with the online booking. The Female Receptionist went above and beyond. She made sure that my family was accommodated before she headed home. Despite its hidden location, a few minutes walk will take you to the main road with lots of eating options. The buffet breakfast was unexpected. There were a lot of foods and varieties available at the buffet. The view of the Vatican from the top floor was amazing specially during sunset. When we checked out, the female receptionist even organised a taxi for us to take us to the train station.

In my opinion, the whole facility (the room, bedroom/bed and the bathroom/toilet) needs an upgrade to attract more travellers. It's a bit outdated. However, the property seemed old so it may not be cost effective. Its location may be a disadvantage due to its uphill/residential location. However, it provides that quiet feeling of being away from the "touristy" crowd and a better view of the Vatican.

The hotel itself is really clean, there’s a nice bar area for guests, a decent sized dining room and large family rooms with very comfortable beds. The facilities in the rooms are decent too, boasting a good shower, balcony, fridge and TVs.

It’s a good walk from Rome centre but there’s a bus service (64) from Corso Vittorio Emanuele II which takes you within a short walking distance. We only used that on the last day though, so I’d advise you to check that out.

Great location, great room set up, lots of space for the value! This is a pilgrimage hotel for certain, and that is why we were staying. We were traveling with a 23 month old, and they provided a crib for us upon request. We also drove our own car, and there was free parking included, which was very convenient. The breakfast was great, and is an option to reserve with your room. The location is great since it sits on top of a hill overlooking Vatican City. It is in a quiet area, and I liked the strict rules, making it more family friendly. There are two chapels located on site, which is great for pilgrims traveling in larger groups. The facilities are great -- a full bar and restaurant, lunch and dinner are served if you do not want to walk down into town to find something. Elevators are great if you have a wheelchair or stroller. The rooms are basic, but this is a pilgrimage hotel, not a luxury hotel. Bring extension cords because there may only be one or two outlets in your room, and make certain you have an old Italian plug adapter. The beds were a little stiff, but it didn't matter to us when we were exhausted at the end of the day. Highly recommend taking advantage of the hotel breakfast and restaurant services because the next closest places are much further away and more expensive

It is a bit of a walk to St Peters square, currently 15min or more due to current construction on the St Peters train station stop, which means you have to walk all the way around to get to the closest entry point to St Peters square. Consider when making reservations for events at the Vatican or in the area, especially if you do not have your own transportation and rely on public transportation to get around. Also, if you are limited mobility or require assistance, let them know because the breakfast area or little chapel could be more difficult for you to access-- let them know in advance so they are prepared to assist you.

Location of the hotel is very nice: about 500 m walk from the Vatican. The spot is calm and quiet. My personal favourite was the small chapel inside. Very good service/price ratio.

The only strange point is the breakfast. Although my visit was in the beginning of June, there was no any vegetables (tomatoe, cucumber, etc.) available. The sevice people were helpful, but I had to be aware when I went to refill my plate: the rest on the table disappeared quickly...

My mother and I arrived earlier in Rome, and they helped us check in before check-in time, so we had a whole day to spend in Rome. The room was clean, and it had A/C already on, which is really helpful during hot days in summer!

I'm not sure why, but stuff from reception will take you to your room or at least walk enough to show you the way. This is fine, but it is not always great if you have people in line to get checked in or to ask questions at the reception.

We could walk to everything we wanted to see without being right in the town. Train station was very close and several cafe's and restaurants to hand too. There's a bar and roof top terrace to enjoy cocktails and coffee. Most rooms have balconies. Clean towels every day.

The breakfast was continental so was mostly cakes and pastries with ham and cheese slices. There was something which we assumed was scrambled eggs but was in a block. Unfortunately I couldn't eat most of the breakfast so would have been a waste of €9 for me but I'm sure it was delicious if you can eat it. Would have been nice to have tea coffee making facilities in the room especially as the bar doesn't open until the afternoon but the receptionist did come and make us a coffee. The hotel had a lot of echo so everything sounded a lot louder and was quite noisy throughout the night with doors banging and people's phones going off.

The Staff were fantastic and accommodated all our needs. This included booking taxis and sorting foods due to dietary requirements.

Second night it was very noisy in the rooms above. Things being moved across the floor, children crying and screaming for hours. Even during the night. The noises echoed through the room and this had a problem and was very hard to sleep. The location is a bit out of the way and is a steep walk to go down to amenities and attractions.
