October 2023

The accommodation was in excellent condition. Perhaps the room has been renovated recently. It's clean. The bathroom was not renovated, but it was quite spacious and easy to use. Breakfast was served with boiled eggs, croissants, bread, milk, cereal, and coffee. Breakfast was not bad... Just I didn't expect. The location of the accommodation is far from the tourist attraction, but it was 4 stops by bus and 20 to 30 minutes on foot, so there was no inconvenience. Rather, it was good to have a good night's sleep because it was away from the downtown area. And it was safe. If I go to Rome again, I want to stay at this hotel.

시트는 깨끗했으나, 뭉친 먼지가 묻어있어서 아쉬웠습니다.

We decided to stay in Rome for a few days before flying back to London and are really pleased we chose the Casa Valdese. All of the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The hotel is ideally located in a quiet residential area, but within a short walking distance of the main sights in fact there is a great view of the dome of St Peter's from the hotel roof terrace. There is a great choice of restaurants nearby. A lovely hotel we would not hesitate to recommend it for a visit to Rome and would happily stay here again.

Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Just a suggestion. I understand that 50€ is extra charge for after midnight check in, but maybe you can make an exeption when people have flight cancelation. It felt bad when I was informing hotel that I had flights problems and hotel answered It is ok, you can check in after midnight, for extra charge. I respect the rules, but sometimes there are certain situations out of travelers control. But, stil, people who work here manage to make my rest of the long weekend nice. I know this rule is not up to them.

Check in until midnight, and after that you have to pay 50€. They moved my flight so instead of coming to Rome around 12,30, I arrived around 23,30. Then I ran to take taxi to arrive before midnight, whole day was very stresfull and then I thought that extra 50€ is like punishment for already stresful day, even I did everything in my power to get there in time. And 4 of my friends did not come at all, also because of the flight cancelation. Luckely, on the end since I waited for some time for someone to unlock the main gate, and I was ringing on all bells, and calling on phone and got frozen a litle bit because of the waiting, they did not ask me to pay extra 50€. Lady on reception was very kind, and helpful.

Stayed here for 4 nights (31st Oct-4th Nov). Two double rooms located beside eachother as requested in our booking. Staff were friendly and spoke very good English which was great as our Italian was minimal. The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping attended to them every day. They aren't big rooms, but adequately sized. We were out and about all day anyway, so we didn't need big rooms. Great shower with a really decent water pressure. Breakfast was from 7.30-9.30 - the selection was reasonable and very fresh. Perhaps some other cereal choices and more fresh fruit would have been good, but overall it was satisfactory. We liked the measures the hotel takes to reduce waste and protect the environment. The location is excellent - <5mins from bus stops and Lepanto Metro.

Some more cereal and fresh fruit options for breakfast.

The breakfast is good, especially for a short stay. We were expecting almost nothing, because of the other reviews, but there are a lot of different food. I wrote for a short stay, because the options are always the same. The rooms were clean (every day they do cleaning). Everything functions really well. Location is top, we walked to every landmark.

The guests have to leave the key at the reception desk when they leave for a walk and get the keys back, when they return. The keys are pretty big and heavy. But if you come past midnight, you have to get a night key, which will open all the doors. I haven't decided yet, if it is a minus, but it is something that I didn't really like.

The hotel is very nice. We booked double room, but at the end they gave us even better room - an apartment with more facilities, so we were really happy with this. The breakfast was good and the coffee was also nice. We really enjoyed the balcony on top with the lovely panoramic view! The location is amazing to visit all the important places in Rome by foot, but of course the metro station is 2 minutes away. Staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our whole stay. Some people said in other reviews something about the key system, but I found it completely fine - you just need more keys if you are coming back late, because they lock entrance door of the hotel, so nothing wrong with this. Thank you for having us!

Maybe the air condition installation is a little bit old, but it was working properly and even if we were in July the temperature in the room was perfect.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights. The room was spacious enough, air-conditioned. The hotel is relatively near a Metro station and is situated within a quiet part of Rome. There is a terrace that can be used on the 4th floor.

You have to plan your evening in advance to know when you would be returning since the hotel has a night key that you have to take if you want to return after midnight. Breakfast would benefit from a bigger variety.

The hotel is on a fairly quiet street, near to many tourist destinations. Within a few blocks it’s much livelier with lots of restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but nothing fancy. The breakfast is very substantial and they keep everything very well-stocked. Also, there is a rooftop patio you can use and they have wine to buy near the lobby, as well as some snacks, and water Staff is friendly and attentive, the desk is staffed to midnight. If you are out late, they need to make arrangements for you to come in. Overall it was an excellent value for the money and a nice stay. I would stay here again as a tourist.

My room had an armoire but no closet, and the elevator can be a bit slow so you may prefer a lower floor to use the stairs.

Great location, quiet neighbourhood but easy to walk to many sites or take the metro. Hotel itself is quite simple and a bit dated, but it is good value for money and perfectly acceptable for a short stay. Nice that breakfast is included, a bit basic but a number of options to choose from.

The beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable / hard.
