Lorenzo, his mum and dad are all absolutely lovely and helpful! We arrived a bit early before regular check in times and were able to access our room right away as it was already ready. We had amazing breakfast everyday with products typical for the region, which varied daily to keep it interesting. The pool is an absolutely refreshing delight and great for a relaxing afternoon. The highlight of our stay was the cooking class with Lorenzo. He is a funny, charming guy with great cooking and teaching skills. We had a variety of cold cuts to try in the beginning and cooked two different dishes, both extremely delicious, and more than enough to drink. The ingredients selected are top quality which you will taste later in the cooked meals. :) Thank you so much for everything we had a great stay and will definitely come again and have another cooking class!

My daughter and I visited Italy for the first time this month, and our most favorite memories are of our stay at Villa il Fedino in San Casciano! This is a gorgeous 700-year-old family-owned and -run villa, furnished with restored antiques. We loved the museum-like setting where we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with incredible views. It's a very short walk from the villa to town, while the patio in back of the villa overlooks the vast rolling Tuscan hills. The breakfasts were exquisite and varied each day, including pastries, fresh fruit, made-to-order eggs, breakfast pizza, and several additional memorable items. We also highly recommend joining the chef's cooking class! We both agree that cooking with Lorenzo was the best memory of our whole trip! Lorenzo (6th generation) is knowledgeable, fun, and a great teacher. Each participant experienced rolling and cutting pasta. The afternoon also included an organic vegetable salad; risotto; sauce for our fresh pasta; as well as tastings of Tuscan cheese, Chianti Classico wine, and the best extra virgin olive oils in Italy. I encourage you to call or email the villa to enroll in Lorenzo's class.

The breakfast here was amazing, we were spoilt rotten with fresh eggs which i would highly recommend, there was fresh bread with amazing olive oil and fresh pastries. We were there in January which is out of season still the communication between us and site was so helpful. when we arrived on site the host could not be more accommodating they upgraded us to a stunning room, the whole place was breathing taking. the host gave us a map of the local town and advised the best places and what was local. there is parking on site. This was really value for money. If you want to be left alone this is the place for you, or if you want to be treated like family this is also the place for you. this would be an amazing place to hold a wedding or event. they also offer cooking lessons. There is a fridge in the room and tea and coffee is provided.

there was nothing i didn't like

We had a wonderful 5 nights stay and loved our stay very much. The family-run villa is excellently maintained and living in a medieval villa Made of stones is definitely a great experience. All members of the owner's family are so friendly and always with a nice smile. The breakfast was also excellent with a good variety of breads, hams and is serviced by super friendly staffs. With a nice view to the Tuscany mountains, every morning's breakfast is a very enjoying experience. The location of the villa is also excellent for us. With a car, it is ca. 30 minutes drive from Florence and you can also drive easily to other Tuscany towns, like Siena. The town Can Casciano is amazing too, it is small but with a good amount of lovely local restaurants. In the center of the little town, there is also a big kids' playground area, which of course suits perfectly for us with a two-year old child.

We stayed at Villa Il Fedino during our honeymoon traveling around Europe, and it was our absolute favourite place! This is a small boutique family run villa, in the most beautiful historic house, with stunning views across the Tuscan hills. It is close enough to the local village that you can walk out for dinner and gelato every night, but quiet and secluded enough that it feels like a relaxing countryside escape. It is also a great location to explore the Chianti region if you have a car, with only a short drive to lots of beautiful towns and wineries. The breakfast was a highlight, the chef and owner Lorenzo cooks an absolute feats of delicious Tuscan breakfast specialties, freshly baked pastries, eggs to order and coffee, all served on the stunning terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills. We also did a cooking class with Lorenzo which was an absolute must do! We had so much fun, learned to make fresh pasta and local Tuscan dishes, and enjoyed an incredible long lunch with fantastic wine. Thank you so much to Lorenzo and your family for having us, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Nothing, it was perfect!

We were in Villa il Fedino for our honeymoon for 10 nights, and it was exceptional! The hotel is 100% family-run, and you can feel it through and through. Every morning, Lorenzo and his family were creating the most delicious breakfast and asking every guest personally about how they feel and if they needed assistance with any planning, where we got a lot of valuable local tips. The rooms of this historic, charming villa were incredibly clean and the overall standard of living was extremely high. We also did the cooking-course offered by Lorenzo, and it opened our taste-buds in a way we never thought possible. We cannot wait to try these delicious receipes at home ourselves. We can only and sincerely recommend this facility to everyone who wants to have an intimate and authentic tuscan experience without giving up on comfort and luxurious flair. Lorenzo, we hope to see you again!

There were really only 2 minor things: you have to regularly air your rooms, and you would have to regularly login again to the wifi, both of which I would describe rather as inconveniences. The WIFI works reliably for streaming and airing the rooms takes 5-10 minutes.

Lorenzo and his family were great! They were very accommodating, personable, and always went above and beyond! Breakfast service was phenomenal! We missed breakfast the first two days(unfortunately) due to tours and they left us a note in the room making sure we knew that breakfast was included in our reservation. The room was spacious with every amenity you would need; and if it wasn’t in the room, Lorenzo and his family were happy to provide whatever we needed. The location is great too. It’s a quick 20 minute drive to Florence but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.

I really couldn’t recommend Villa Il Fedino more- Lorenzo and his parents are so welcoming and friendly and gave fantastic tips on where to visit in the local area. The breakfast was second to none- different every day with a selection of everything you could want (fruit, cheeses and meats from the region, their own olive oil, toast, pastries and eggs cooked any way you request) and restaurant quality! The stone pool is newly built and lovely to swim in-always clean and the perfect temperature. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and the room was cleaned every day. The location was fantastic for being able to take in the local areas and every restaurant that Lorenzo recommended was stellar. We are definitely going to return - if only to continue the wonderful conversations we had with Lorenzo and his family.

No complaints at all!

Lovely location (beatuiful old house/villa) in quiet part of the village. Very comfortable, huge room with large bed and ensuite bedroom and view of the countryside. The owners were lovely people and could not have been more helpful. Fantastic, varied breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, iltalian bread, cold meats, cheese, cereal and eggs cooked in whatever way you liked all prepared by Lorenzo who was charming. Great, good size and brand new pool in the garden with comfortable sunbeds. In walking distance to lovely old village with great restaurants and places to have a coffee.

The hotel is on the edge of the perfect storybook town…San Casciano in Val di Pesa. The town is small and lovely…perfect for a late night stroll, excellent dining and shopping. The owners, Alessandra and Amadeus and their son Lorenzo were the perfect hosts….warm, welcoming and accommodating. No request was refused…whether it was a light meal sent to our room, eggs for breakfast just the way we like them, or finding us rides to and from Florence. Truly, we felt like we were staying with family rather than strangers.

That we only stayed three nights! Next time, it will be longer.
