The location was superb, set in an established well-maintained garden with a swimming pool that was most welcome after a very hot late July exploration of the fortified centre. The staff was welcoming and obliging - a special thank you to Tobias whose knowledge of English and a most naturally hospitable manner made the stay at the family-run villa most enjoyable. His aunt and uncle were prepared to assist me with special requests and provided an often amusing addition to the experience. The downside was the size of the room which was rather small and the bathroom which was particularly challenging for a wheelchair user. Otherwise, a wonderful experience.

The property was an easy (uphill) walk into San Gimignano. We stayed 4 nights, 2 adults and an 11 year old. The room was small but we made it work. Shower was great, as was the wifi. Breakfast was simple - best croissants ever - there are lots of food options in town as well. Pool was good as well. Parking on site and there is a mini supermarket just up and across the road. There is a coin laundry just a bit further up the road. Overall a pleasant stay.

The property was beautiful. We booked a 2 night stay and it was perfectly located a 10 min walk to the main town. Although it was raining when we were there, there were many places in the garden to sit and relax and there was also a pool. Parking was available free on site which was a huge bonus as we had a car. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. An added bonus was a laundromat just up the road so we could get some clean clothes.

There was nothing that we could say that we did not like at this property.

Pool is wonderful to have in the heat after a long day. The location is excellent, 6 to 7 minutes walk from the old town. The views are fabulous, rolling Tuscan countryside! A special mention: we were very late arriving on our first night and they waited up late for us and we're so nice and welcoming. Thank you!

The rooms are a little dated. But it is still charming and the house has a lovely style about it outside.

The hotel was in a good location just outside of town, 10min walk and very quiet. It was great to have a pool with excellent views over the Tuscan countryside. They even had two hammocks. The breakfast included was a nice buffet breakfast.

The hotel was great the only thing I would say is that the taxi situation in San Gimignano is terrible. We ordered a taxi through the hotel and it didn't turn up. The receptionist ordered us a new one without letting us know the price. We arrived at our wine tasting late and were then charged 40 euros for a 5minute drive. It seems the taxis here are charging ridiculous money. We aren't the first people either to be charged a high rate. It would have been nice if the hotel had told us about the price of the taxi before because we would have walked otherwise.

The location was a short walk from the historic center of San Gimignano which was very convenient. Also, there was free parking at the hotel for guests. The view from the backyard of the property was beautiful and the pool area was very nice. The staff at check in was very friendly and understood/spoke English well.

The staff during checkout did not speak English and it was difficult communicating.

proximity to the town by walking up the road and in through the main ancient arch in the wall. very quiet and peaceful and with a lovely garden and pool.

probably the breakfast needs to be a bit more modern. its still very nice but a toaster could be useful and even though it is a Continental breakfast a few boiled eggs would be most welcome!

The location of the place is great, a short stroll up the path into the village. The pool area is generous with plenty of beds. The owners are wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. The air conditioning is great, especially at this time of year. There is plenty of free parking. Strongly recommend staying here!

Nice little family run hotel just outside the San Gimignano old town. Five minute walk to Porta San Matteo. Breakfast eas good and is served in a garden with lovely view. Bus to and from Poggibonso stop just outside the hotel. Swimming pool and sun beds available. Very nice place on a warm summer day.

This was a perfect location just outside the city walls that afforded you a quiet rest from the noise and the tourists. It has an absolutely beautiful view of the rolling Tuscan hills and the pool is an added bonus. The family running the hotel are lovely and go out of their way to help. This hotel is great value for the money. I would stay here again.
