Location is exceptional, just outside of San Gimignano and view from the back and the pool is absolutely gorgeous. Hotel is clean and quiet, really nice pool and very nicely maintained grounds. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they really make this place. They even had gluten free crackers at breakfast which I was very happy about.

There was nothing we didn't like. The room was comfortable and bathroom was good too. Yes, hotel is a bit dated and might not be to everyone's taste but it's so charming and quaint that you stop noticing the decor very soon. We will absolutely be back!

Great location just outside and downhill from one of the main entry gates to old town. This is a small hotel with beautiful grounds, a swimming pool and generous amounts of free parking (a big bonus)! The rooms are bright and airy if somewhat in need of a fresh coat of paint. The breakfasts offer a large variety of tasty choices. Note- there are no elevators here. Big tip- request the second floor room with the small balcony!

The Villa Belvedere location is great and is about a 10 minute walk from the San Gimignano center. We enjoyed being outside the busier center and to enjoy the grounds, the very nice pool and the incredible view from the hotel. The staff was very helpful. They gave us a lot of support in moving our kids to a bigger room, with directions around the town, with food options and with helping arrange a transfer to the Poggibonsi train station (which is cheaper than 6 people on the bus!). We look forward to staying here again when visiting San Gimignano in the future!

The hotel is easy to get around and the location is great! The only issue at all is the rooms are smaller than we anticipated, but the staff helped us get situated comfortably. We would highly recommend the Villa Belvedere.

Short 5 minute walk to town, beautiful location overlooking the valley and Tuscan countryside! Although it was too cool for swimming in the large pool, we sat on the pool deck with a glass of wine and took in the view! Nice little grocery/deli a couple blocks up where we picked up water and other essentials on our way back from town. Beds were comfy and the breakfast spread was very nice. Peaceful quiet setting away from the crowds of downtown San Gimignano!

The location was superb, set in an established well-maintained garden with a swimming pool that was most welcome after a very hot late July exploration of the fortified centre. The staff was welcoming and obliging - a special thank you to Tobias whose knowledge of English and a most naturally hospitable manner made the stay at the family-run villa most enjoyable. His aunt and uncle were prepared to assist me with special requests and provided an often amusing addition to the experience. The downside was the size of the room which was rather small and the bathroom which was particularly challenging for a wheelchair user. Otherwise, a wonderful experience.

Location and views of the property are amazing. 10 mins walk to the old town of San Gimignano makes this hotel the best choice for those who travel with car and want to stay close to the city center. The owner family are nice and available to help.

Breakfast is very poor and needs some improvement. The leftover melon from yesterday was brought to the table the next day. Even the water they bring in teapot for tea is not hot.

A very good 3 star hotel in an excellent position just outside the walls of San Gimignano. It’s a comfortable 10 minute walk into the historic centre, provided that you’re reasonably fit (the walk is quite steeply uphill, but then everything is uphill in San Gimignano!). The hotel has nice grounds with good shaded areas for seating plus a swimming pool with plentiful sun loungers and panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

The property was an easy (uphill) walk into San Gimignano. We stayed 4 nights, 2 adults and an 11 year old. The room was small but we made it work. Shower was great, as was the wifi. Breakfast was simple - best croissants ever - there are lots of food options in town as well. Pool was good as well. Parking on site and there is a mini supermarket just up and across the road. There is a coin laundry just a bit further up the road. Overall a pleasant stay.

The family who own the hotel are very friendly but don't speak a lot of English. The hotel is comfortable and in a great location just a few minutes walk (uphill) from San Gimignano. Free parking on site is most welcome. Breakfast was a standard buffet which was very good. Best of all, is the lovely swimming pool which has a stunning view of the Tuscan hills. We spent a week here and enjoyed it immensely.
