Our stay here was absolutely wonderful from start to finish!!! The staff was absolutely wonderful, especially Stefano! The breakfast was great and the best cappuccino we have had so far. Hotel Collegiata is so serene and relaxing. The grounds are well kept and the pool was a great way to spend the afternoon. You are about a 20 minute walk to San Gimignano which we did about twice a day and was a great way to get our exercise. You can drive as well but highly recommend the walk.

Nothing to do with our stay at Hotel Collegiata, but I highly recommend booking any trips to wineries for meals or tastings well in advance of your stay! Research restaurants outside of the city in advance and make some reservations for an authentic Tuscan dining experience.

This hotel really was gorgeous! It surpassed our expectations in terms of the setting, surroundings, style and service. The pool area and general ambience was lovely and so relaxing. Breakfast was incredible! The team and service was fantastic. We really wished we had booked a longer stay.

The only thing that could have made our stay better would have been for the hotel to provide an evening food offering, even if room-service style. On a couple of occasions we were enjoying relaxing at the hotel so much we didn’t want to have to get dressed up and go to town, so being able to have a simple dinner service at the hotel would have been ideal.

Location was excellent away from the hustle & noise in town The manager Stefano went out of his way to help us & thank goodness he was there overseeing all aspects of the property & keeping all guests happy

No tea or coffee making in room & a charge if you ordered tea or coffee during the day. No restaurant on the property so it meant driving daily to town where it was virtually impossible to find parking as there are only 4 car parks outside the walled city. No cars are allowed into San Gimignano and many tourists driving around looking for parking

The hotel was just incredible. Everything about it was perfect. Beautiful location, very clean and well maintained hotel. Very welcoming staff. Special mention to Steffano who always made us laugh and cooked us delicious omelettes for breakfast! Also Luliana on the front desk who was very attentive and extremely helpful. She was always polite and happy to go the extra mile. I would highly recommend this place.

I simply liked everything. I want to plan another trip with more of my family. I have owned hotel/restaurants and would live to own this. The location is gorgeous and the building historic, my perfect combination. The staff were friendly and accommodated is in every way. The scenery was more beautiful than the pictures.

The restaurant had just closed for the season which we totally understand. I would have liked to have food available through the restaurant and I don’t think I would have left the property much. Now that I’m in Florence I wish I had visited many wineries on my stay. Some were closed for season also. Next trip I’m come in sept and stay longer, to enjoy all the surroundings and restaurant.

Stunning location with a wonderful view to San Gimignano while having breakfast or just sitting in comfortable lounch chairs. It offers all the important amenities to relax like a nice pool area, little library, outdoor place to relax, nice breakfast wich offers all you need for a good start into a new day in the Tuscany. We had a lovely room in a small house next to the main building. The whole team was all the time very friendly and very helpful. A great host in a wonderful Palazzo. La Collegiata is also close by to San Gimignano

Unfortunate to many mosquitos around and it made us and all the other guest uncomfortable eating dinner outside. We had also almost every day ants and bugs in our bed and mosquitos in our room. It affected our good night sleep unfortunate negatively. However the stuff was aware of the situation and tried to help as much it was possible. The hotel might think about adding, especially during the summer season, some mosquito or bug spray in every room.

The customer service here is excellent. The staff are very friendly and will doing anything to help. In our case they went above and beyond. I left my carry on bag for the plane at breakfast the day we departed. They immediately contacted us and arranged for a courier to bring the bag back to the UK, which was delivered very quickly. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and we enjoyed sitting at the front of the hotel with stunning views across to San Gim. We also had dinner here one evening which was excellent. Wonderful stay, thank you so much for your hospitality.

I thought the furnishing in the rooms could have been better.

The service and Stefano (manager), was amazing and made our stay. The swimming pool was fantastic!

There were tea or coffee making facilities in the room and therefore had to pay 5-Euros to have it brought to our room…and no restaurant on-site for dinner etc. when you didn’t feel like driving to San Gimignano (not far away), but parking is horrendous to find…

The old style charm and views were amazing. The staff were like family and the morning breakfast was wonderful with the beautiful view of the town of San Gimignano. We had the tower suite and the sunrise and sunset views were breathtaking!

They did not offers a full dining option for lunch or dinner. We did however have small plate options for dinner with fantastic service on the patio with drinks.

Gorgeous clean property close to town. Super friendly staff and quiet rooms. The bed was comfortable, rooms were clean and air conditioned, pool and facilities were beautiful, spectacular views etc.

Everything was great, and we're usually pretty picky.
