We loved the settings of the hotel perched up on the hill . We love walking , so walking down to the village St Angelo was no problem at all. We spent alot of time in the very hot salty thermal spa and then went down to the sea to swim ! The sea is cold in May but really refreshing. We loved the breakfast in the morning and it set us up for the day. We went half board in the end which was a good idea as we felt going into the village was too far every evening - especially as on one day we walked 11km return to the highest point on the island !

We liked everything

Stunning hilltop location with simple luxury. The food was delicious, the rooms spacious, and the onsite natural thermal pools and saunas were a complete bonus. Beautiful gardens growing produce, like limes, lemons, tomatoes, and so quiet and peaceful (until the weekend when the yachts arrive in the harbour). My advice is to stay for the week, and leave on Saturday, when the crowds descend. The spa areas are pretty rustic, rather than luxurious. The natural saunas are basically caves, with rickety boards on the floor and to sit on, so it's really like sitting in a grotto. However, everything is very natural and you know you're dealing with a genuine one-off destination. No bland chain-style decor with predictable aesthetic. This place is totally authentic and special. I almost hesitate to post this review because I want this hotel to remain a secret.

The grotto area could be slightly improved. The saunas are a little bit too rough! The bathrobes provided are a little worn and threadbare. I would have liked thinner, cotton robes, especially for the warm weather. But this is a minor thing.

really nice location with easy access to the beach and only a relatively short walk to S' Angelo. The thermal facilities were older, but nevertheless met our expectations. It was good for the body after a long day in the sun to dive into the naturally heated water and enjoy the benefits of the mineral-rich water. The breakfast buffet was really well-stocked and could satisfy most people.

However, we missed the eggs being cooked in several batches so they didn't get cold and boring. The finished coffee on the thermos was almost undrinkable - why? As the hotel had guests on full board, it was a bit strange that we were not offered that dinner. We had been super interested in eating at the hotel, but instead went elsewhere for our evening meal.

We’ve just had an amazing stay in a very beautiful and cozy place with extraordinary view at St.Angelo! The hotel is totally run by one sweet family, with pure Italian hospitality and a willingness to fulfill your every wish. The food is really delicious, starting from various breakfasts (pastry is the best ever! although I personally don’t like sweet food…and please try home marmalades, too!) to rich half board dinners; from home table water to frizzante house wine… Just bellissimo! The SPA area was nice with sauna and face (skin pores) inhalation, hot sand (famous fumarole) and of course thermal pools! Which were clean, with jacuzzi options and inexpressible in words sea views! These views are the best from the sunbed just around the corner. Exquisite interior of sea blue/lemon yellow ceramics everywhere with nautical accents - with taste and style thanks to diploma in Interior design of Giorgio I guess :) Every day at the same time (after lunch - quiet time) I’ve personally had an anti stress therapy stroking Cora - the family’s dog, listening to lounge music and viewing Capri and yachts crossing the waves… The idea of no cars surrounded, being met by small electrocar or boat taxi… Family photos in the lobby… Branded towels and bags to carry them to the beach… Spices and lemons grown in the garden… Birds singing on the balcony… Your perfect vacation in a place you want to come back again once you’ve just went out the door… Grazie mille e a dopo!

Sun decks/umbrellas on the beach were quite expensive; there was no refrigerator in the room; beds were squeaky and hard but comfortable (thanks to pillows I guess).

The hotel is in the most beautiful locations on Ischia. Up on the hill but not too far from the beach and on the iconic walk to St Angelo. Could not recommend this place more, the views are AMAZING. I was blown away everyday :) Giorgio and his mum really looked after us, I have multiple allergies (incl. gluten) and they catered for me daily with delicious bread and cakes. We loved the restaurant and recommend getting the half board. Delicious home cooked food for dinner which included an antipasti, primi pati, main and a dessert for 20 eur. The breakfast is also very good. We will come back again when we are on this side of the world. I’ll never forget the 3 days we had on the island and at Fernandino beach and spa!

The WiFi is very, very bad.

Everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Family run so super friendly relaxed atmosphere with friendly visitors predominantly German. Wonderful breakfasts and super attentive staff. Great facilities even if the weather is not great you ha e bath in steaming thermal pools and sweat in a steamy natural sauna-like cave! A 15 minute walk uphill into town for an eveninv meal sharpens your appetite but you can also eat at the hotel.

The weather wasnt great but we can only blame the Gods for that!

Lovely location, with fantastic views on the water. Set back slightly up the hill with gardens around it. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Close to a few lovely beaches.

I booked a room with a sea view but it was partial at best. We also didn’t realize that you can’t drive to the hotel from the main road so had to park it and then take a buggy cab.

Location of the property is stunning! Beautiful views all around. Heated thermal pool was lovely and great that there was a good beach 5 minutes walk away. Room was very comfortable and clean and staff were very helpful. Beautiful well kept tropical garden surrounds.

Lots of hills to climb! However it meant that I have not put on weight with all the great Italian food!

Great place to relax. The rooms were spacious and the aircon worked great. Loved the balcony, beautiful view.

Loved the thermal pools, but some days reached +30oC, so it would have been nice to have one ‘cold’ pool to cool down in.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. Good breakfast. Very nice superior room.

I actually enjoyed the exercise of long walks on hilly paths to get to cafes and the bus, but some may not like this. There are lots of options for electric car transportation.
