Best position possible, right in the very center of Sestri Levante, yet on a hill and with amazing views. The staff is very gentle, the management is very reasonable and tries to accomodate client’s wishes as much as possible. Highly suggested are Room 311 (if you are looking for a small room) and Room 315 (if you are looking for a large one): these rooms have an absolutely stunning view to the “Baia del Silenzio” and both have a balcony.

The breakfast could have been a bit better. Not very well organized (frequently partially empty serving dishes) and the choice could have been better.

We LOVED the outdoor space of this hotel. The pool area & outdoor dining area was incredible. The views were amazing and every staff member we met were so attentive and nice and remembered you every day. We felt very looked after. Great options at breakfast too and the shuttle service to Sestri Levante was great if you have luggage and couldn't walk / taxis hard to find. This is a great location if you want to visit Portofino & the Cinque Terre as the train station is a short 10min walk (or you can get the free shuttle service from the hotel). The town is also only a short walk away and has lots of great restaurants & bars. Perfect location.

Our room was located at the elevator so it got quite noisy as the rooms are not soundproof. The room next to us on our first night 2 nights had someone with a bad cough and we could hear it very clearly all night. We are good sleepers so we didn't mind hugely and never complained but we did notice it. While the outdoor spaces are amazing, the rooms could do with a bit of an update as they are quite old (but still well maintained). I knew this when booking, from looking at the photos of the rooms so I was expecting it but still noted for the price. Not a lot of space in the rooms if there for more than a few days, could do with some more shelving and we had to leave our cases on the balcony to make enough floor space in the room.

Your room (306) was directly under the kitchen so very noisy early in the morning. Also next to room cleaning store, so more noise!

The view from our room's balcony directly out across the Bay of Silence and to our right the coastline of the southern end of the Italian Riviera and the shoreline of the Bay of Tegulio were both wonderful. Only from the next higher floor (the Olimpo Restaurant) and the highest floor (the Zeus Sky Bar) would the view be any more spectacular. The sumptuous buffet breakfast was one the most extensive we have ever seen on any of trips abroad.

Everything here at Vis a Vis exceeded our expectations, as I indicated above.

The view from the hotel restaurant and pool area were lovely. The food was excellent, especially at their restaurant ‘Portobello’ down on the beach. We enjoyed the hiking/trekking trails just off the hotel grounds.

The quality of the massages we had were poor. Therapist was very pleasant but didn’t seem to have a therapeutic knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and just seemed she was randomly touching/tapping (nothing inappropriate, to be clear). Just seemed unskilled

Great location - handy for good and drink, the port and the railway is a short walk away. Superb views from the upper floors and Superb pool area which was well tended. Reception staff very helpful and informative.

We had a great view from our balcony - as advertised - but the room was a tad small.

The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Sestri Levante , the Cinque Terra and Portofino . It is a short walk from the railway station which makes it easy to get around. The roof top bar has the most amazing views abs is a great place to have a cocktail and watch the sunset. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of fresh produce. The pool area is beautiful and a lovely place ti relax after a day sightseeing.

The room was very compact and the air conditioning wasn’t very effective.

Upon arrival, the staff immediately took the initiative to take care of our car, luggage, to clearly communicate room readiness, to personally guide us around the hotel and to give a tailored explanation about how we could optimally spend our time in Sestri Levante. We were helped in French (other guests in German or English) in a most perfect manner. I have never enjoyed this kind of personalised welcome in any other hotel.

I can think of NOTHING. I want to go back tomorrow.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel in a beautiful location. The room was stunning, clean and had all the facilities needed for our stay. The staff were incredible - so friendly, polite and professional.

The hotel had switched off the A/C facilities for the colder months, however the weather was getting up to 20+ degrees and the rooms were getting very hot especially at night!

The hotel has the most incredible vantage point sitting high up in Sestri Levante, and our room had two balconies overlooking the bay and the town. Although the rooms were slightly old fashioned the bed was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. I had a massage in the spa which was wonderful. The pool area was lovely as was the sky bar, staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We really enjoyed the town a great centre in which to explore the region by train. Would definitely recommend x
