The hotel was charming, the room was a good size and the bathroom was excellent with a great hair dryer and a very good selections of toiletries, and things like a razor and toothbrushes in addition to the usual amenities. The staff members were friendly and there was a good standard of decor, and a high standard of cleanliness.

The location was good for the archaeological museum and in walking distance of the archaeological park, but otherwise the location wasn't great, nor were the surroundings, which were mainly apartment blocks of limited merit. The breakfast coffee, from a vending machine, was poor. I ordered a Cosmopolitan and the resulting cocktail bore no relation to the Cosmo I know and love. I returned it, and was immediately offered another, but this was only slightly better. There was a maraschino cherry lurking in the bottom, and an over abundance of cranberry syrup which overpowered everything else. We still enjoyed our stay.

Best choice for a family , luxurus , traditional building with history that takes you to a previous century. . Siracusa - Ortigia is a must if you are looking to have a taste of the past. The hotel keeps you in that mood even if it's not so close by foot to Ortigia. You get paid back with it's interior and exterior design. Old chandeliers, furniture etc , we loved it. Congrats to the owners for not giving up and keeping the taste.

Not such a big issue but you have to find your way to transfer to Ortigia every night . We prefered taxi, as renting cars in this area hides some high charges of insurance that will surprise you, if you go full it can double the price. And believe me I witnessed the local driving attitude and small accidents are typical. Although, they are so kind and friendly.

The place is very nice. Is an old villa and it has a very beautiful entrance and common areas. The room was nicely decorated and the bed comfortable. There's enough space to park even tough is not covered from the sun. Breakfast was pleasant and the swimming pool area is very big.

The service need to be addressed. If you have a swimming pool, you are not expecting to pay 5€ each towel. I didn't know about that in the information provided by the hotel, but hopefully we had spare towels in the luggage. The swimming pool area was not very well cared with some small pieces of garbage around that where there even the next day. We were two and we just have 1 set of towels in our bathroom. That happen also on my parents in law room. The breakfast is not bad but there's practically no service around. I don't know what's the beef between the people working there and the administration but something is not working there.

Lovely historic building in a fascinating location. Spacious clean room with a balcony ( a triple room) Nice shower room. Great pool with ample sun beds. Evening meal in hotel restaurant was extraordinarily good and exceptionally presented. Breakfast is OK but not to the same standard. Reasonable selection of hot and cold but morning rolls not as good as in the evening. Cappuccino etc IS available from the waiting staff not just the machine as some reviews suggest( always a plus) Maitre de is a lovely man, friendly and vigilant ,waiting staff are attentive and a well managed team. The staff at the hotel really made our stay, a really good team. Friendl, helpful and available.

All good

This is a beautiful hotel with a very real history. It is a grand place, with plush decor yet such friendly, smiling staff always ready to help, or just chat. We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor which had a small balcony and a sea view - and the lady who cleaned each day always said a cheery hello. Breakfast provided a great selection of items, with particularly amazing pastries! We also ate in the restaurant on three nights and the menu was kept quite short, with the addition of daily specials, and the prices were very reasonable. Try the Happy Hour, as you are provided with an amazing array of appetisers, and the cocktails are good too! Finally the pool - it was really only usable for a couple of days and even then it was still quite chilly, but we enjoyed a couple of swims and it was lovely, and we had the pool to ourselves. It was a bit of a treat but at a good price - we loved it here

Not really a complaint but I would have thought a hotel of this quality could provide proper fresh fruit at breakfast, and. not resort to Pineapple and apricots in syrup (they did provide some fresh components each day but very limited). Also perhaps freshly squeezed orange juice. Being fussy as overall the breakfast was really good

Excellent staff, especially Noemi, Francesca and Jennifer. Spacious room with balcony overlooking quarry garden. Large, deep pool with many loungers. Very comfy bed and great air conditioning. Extensive breakfast selection in magnificent dining room. Great happy hour with tasty hors d’ oeuvres. Short walk to beachside swimming and excellent adjacent Jonico restaurant. Bar Drago also very good for coffee, snacks and drinks overlooking the sea and Siracusa. Recommended.

Shower a bit inconsistent.

Stunning place, beautiful surroundings and interior, friendly and helpful staff. A huge free parking place! I also loved the bath in our bathroom. Also a pool is a nice addition, sadly, the weather was too cold to use it.

The noise isolation is very poor, we could hear everything behind the door, also could hear our neighbours. So we didn't have a good rest, as it got noisy early in the morning. A bit far away from the center, it took about 20 minutes by foot to get to the Ortigia.

We actually loved the location! We stayed a few nights in Ortigua but found it a bit much being in the middle of everything. The hotel is just outside of Ortigua you can hop on a bus straight into town for just €1.50. As for the hotel it was spotless, we loved the pool, the restaurant/bar were both great, the rooms were very comfy and clean. Be sure to check out the pizza restaurant close to the hotel called Pizzeria Don Chisciotte Di Amati, incredible pizzas!

Nothing - we loved it!

Very comfortable room, very clean, nicely finished. Dining room large and bright. Pool area very nice indeed and the hotel grounds are very nice. Quiet and comfortable. We only ate breakfast but this was generous and varied, with good attentive service. Staff were helpful.

The hotel is about a half hour walk from the historic centre. Mea culpa for not checking, but bear in mind if you are unable to do a longish walk.

The gardens, room and staff were all great. It feels tranquil after the busy vibe of Ortigia. There was ample parking which was free. We also enjoyed the selection at breakfast. Close to the hotel are two lovely places to eat with a sea view.

We didn’t feel the food at the restaurant in the evening met the same standard as the rest of the hotel’s facilities. We also didn’t really like Syracusa as a city but Ortigia is close to the hotel.
