The location is very nice and there are a lot of things to do around. The staff was very helpful.

The only thing that was a default is that you have to pay for parking since there isn’t any free parking spaces around. The only free parking space is with a 1 hour time limit just to unload your luggage.

The location was perfect for walking into Ortgia and also perfect for walking or short drive to Siracusa. The staff were excellent. the room was clean and had a great view and small balcony to sit and to view the are. From the famous Ortigia food market which is a minutes walk and also to the sea. The breakfast was very good and very fresh.

Either Booking.com or the hotel need to change and remove the image of the Grand Hotel Ortea next door. Having lived in Siracusa and followed the building of the Grand hotel from a long closed and run down old post office I actually thought I was booking the Grand hotel Ortea However a short interaction with the Grand hotel's reception staff soon told me I was very happy not to be staying there. When they found out the mistake one receptionist, who had been helpful walked away and the otherrather curtly said that I had actually only booked a 3 star hotel and please leave. So instead of me asking if they had any rooms available. they never offered. We went to the Hotel Posta. which was amazing.

We spent 2 nights to explore the old town. Location was perfect for this with easy access to the hop on hop off bus and boat tours. Walking, you can easily get to any point in the old town in 20 minutes from the hotel.

Not what we didn't like, but more a surprise on arrival. The lobby is really a counter in a narrow hall and the rooms are very utilitarian. That said, I'm not spending a great deal of time in the lobby and for the price the room served its purpose nicely.

The views from the terrace (where breakfast was served) and room were wonderful. The location of the hotel at the entrance to Ortigia was great. Parking was easy. They do not provide valet parking, but there is ample public parking nearby; some free, most parking costs about 16 Euros/day.

I was not able to change bills into coins. This would have been helpful to be able to tip staff. A Nespresso machine in the room would have been great. As stated above, parking was easy. However, paying for parking was not. It took about (a frustrating) half an hour to do so while dodging other cars who were speeding through the lot. The machine at the parking lot apparently does only take cash and not take credit cards (despite clearly indicating that this was a possibility). Downloading the easypark app to pay for parking ahead of time is recommended. It took me about 15 minutes to download the app on site as the data connection was rather poor in the parking lot. On the upside: paying on the second day was a breeze.

The hotel has a lot of character, lovely furnishings and touches in the rooms in a blue and white theme. The first room had everything including tea making facilities, had high ceilings and was spacious, had to transfer to a smaller room next day and missed the tea making facilities and no lift to the third floor with a very heavy case. Location was excellent with historic places and restaurants within easy walking distance. All staff were helpful. All rooms had a stocked minibar. Wifi reception was good.

Breakfast was adequate however more of a continental style whereas I like my cooked western styled breakfasts to start the day well.

The character of the property; the staff were friendly & helpful; it’s convenience for exploring Ortigia.

The noise level was high especially when a herd of elephants rampaged through the hotel in the early hours of the morning which I later discovered to be teenagers; the smallness of the shower where there was not room to swing a cat or even actually share the cubicle with a cat; chilly breakfasts on the terrace.

The hotel was very well situated and there were plenty of restaurants and things to see. The breakfast was set out nicely, with a good supply of fresh fruit, cakes, cereal etc. The room was adequate for our needs although there was not a wardrobe!!! From the photo when booking I had hoped for a room with a balcony and a bit of a view but on arrival there was nothing available and it didn't seem worth changing the following day. The reception staff were particularly helpful and friendly, assisting with things such as login to the BA site and booking a taxi.

We had a great 2 night at hotel posta, check in was very straight forward, the staff were really lovely and helpful. Room was spotless, very comfortable bed with a en-suite, had everything we needed and a delicious breakfast was provided . Great location with paid parking close by. I’d stay here again very happily indeed

The room was a little tired, with flaking paint in parts. Shower gel dispenser in shower was empty. Hand wash had just enough for our stay. Ideal location but also quite noisy

The room was spacious and clean. The location is great, very close to the fruit market. The breakfast is served at the terrace with beautiful view on the seaside which is also available 24/7 for the guests. I highly recommend this place.
