Well run, clean, simple accommodation that is excellent value and in a superb location. Large rooms and comfortable beds. Parking for the drop off and when leaving was easy as you can park immediately outside for fifteen minutes. To access it: - ignore your sat nav and drive down the pedestrianised Via Roma (Max Mara is on the corner) - turn left into Via del Teatro - take the first right into the piazza and it's on the corner. Whistling the theme tune from The Italian Job is not compulsory, but it helps. We parked for free on the white lines around Riva Della Posta which took me about ten minutes to walk to.

I would have appreciated some brown bread for breakfast, but I could say the same thing about other Italian places that cost me more than double. The shower was of the sit in the bath variety, but as the bath was the size of a swimming pool it didn't matter.

Felt misled by the staff. The site still advertises parking available on Booking. Parking is NOT available. Was told I had a spot reserved 8 months prior at booking. Told as I was driving in (after asking) that the spot was not available. Parking was a huge decision for staying here. Would have stayed somewhere else had I known. Parking is an unsecured spot over a kilometer walk away.

It's rare that hotels have a good hair dryer - here it was powerful, it's a pleasure. Breakfast is small but sufficient, many different cakes and sweets. Warm boiled eggs:)))) The location is ideal for exploring the surroundings.

Thin walls and relatively noisy at least until 2 am, as in Italy.

Love the location, the staff. They went out of their way to move my room when I couldn’t get WiFi.

My pillow. I never like the pillows as they are too high and hard. The walls are a little thin.

The breakfast could be better. We were not aware of remodeling/constructions was done to the bldg. It was a bit noisy in the early morning.

Great location, between two different beaches and a lovely temporary platform where we could sun bathe and jump in the water from. Close to many restaurants, ice cream places. Lovely balcony where we enjoyed having breakfast which we could easily bring from the breakfast room (bedroom was on 4th floor, same as breakfast room!). Room was of good size and bed was very comfortable. Also good shower.

Staff were not very reliable when we first arrived, not being there even though we'd just agreed the arrival time and then not having secured the car park space as agreed on the phone that same week. It was all very stressful and somewhat spoiled the beginning of our hols. We ended up parking at the parking TALETE which worked fine. Staff seemed friendly but didn't really say much about our room which had a bad smell of sewage. This smell seemed to go whenever the aircon was on, but we didn't realise that till the end of our stay. There is a bar/restaurant in front of the hotel. It only bothered us one night, but could be noisy when open.

Stayed for two nights. Chose this hotel for the price\quality ratio. My room was on the 2nd floor. So the hotel is actually in the block of flats and it spreads on all floors variously, locals seem to live among it. The reception is on the 3rd floor starting at 8:30 in the morning (in case you would like to check out earlier than that like me). The room was modest, just a bed, table and wardrobe. The fast wifi. Hot water any time. Silence in the night. AC working well, I had to use it in the evening in the December for a while. I did not try breakfasts. Nice reception lady. Daily room service. Grocery store is ten minutes walking. I got basically what I wanted for sleepovers and exploring Ortigia.

Paper walls, you can hear literally anything happenning on your floor. Luckily nothing was happenning during the night. The same for the exterior - the windows are old, so you can hear everything that happens down on the street + the echo in the narrow streets. Once again, luckily not during the night, but the streets wake up as early as 7am here. I have seen cleaner bathrooms in my life, the equipment was a bit outdated. The tap water tastes salty (but apparently is drinkable, according to what I read on the internet). Bed too soft for me.

The property is in a central location and very handy for shops, restaurants , bars and attractions in Ortigia. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was well stocked with various cereals, pastries, meat and cheese. The room was quite spacious with a good sized bathroom and a small balcony which could be used to dry clothes.

We had to park about 800m away by the seafront as no cars are allowed in the ZTL zone. This made arriving and departing a little difficult when wheeling heavy cases along cobbled streets. Our main gripe is the lack of communication about the G7 and Expo 24 events that were on in the city. This made it extremely crowded with lots of extra police, stands promoting agricultural products everywhere and very busy roads. Had we known about these events in advance we would have re-arranged our stay.

Great, central location. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfy beds. Clean. The view from the terrace was great. Breakfast aplenty. Has an elevator! Provided me with a kettle on request. This was the second time this year that I stayed at this hotel, would stay again when returning to Ortigia. Has a pharmacy next door with helpful pharmacist too.

Would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. If I were to be really picky then the red bed spread, and the lime green one in my previous room - room would look much better and more aesthetic with a muted tone like grey, beige or white. These things are not enough to bring the rating down however, I would stay again without question if ever back in the area.

The B&B has a wonderful location in Syracuse, Ortigia. When you walk out of the door you are directly in the many small alleyways and streets that the old town has to offer. The rooms themselves were very clean and tidy and very modern, as was the bathroom. The staff were very nice and travelling by car, especially during the lockdown, was no problem. The breakfast had plenty of choice, although a bit of fruit would have been great.

Our room was partly wired in a strange way, buttons had different functions in different directions and the toilet flushing often did not stop flowing, but this could be stopped by repeated flushing. Unfortunately the pillows were hard and the mattresses too soft, a soft pillow as an option would be great :)
