The location is about 9 minutes walk from Sorrento Port, if you do arrive via the Port there is a paid lift (€1.20 one way per person or €2.20 return per person) that you can use that will take you to Villa Comunale di Sorrento, and the hotel is a few minutes walk away. On arrival we weren't aware of the lift and we did the walk which we quickly regretted with two suitcases, many steps and 33 degrees heat... The surrounding area is in the heart of Sorrento town where you will find all the restaurants, shops etc... The room was lovely, where the owner Alphonso greeted us on arrival, explained everything in detail and was available if needed. The self serve breakfast was nice.

The bathroom did have ants though we did leave the small bathroom window closed, but when left open they seem to have disappeared. To access your room, you need to use the lift which has to be the slowest lift ever, the rooms are based on the fourth floor and it takes 90seconds to reach the 4th floor. In 33degrees heat you will build up a sweat on your journey up or down. This is of no fault to the hotel as its a shared lift with all occupants of the building.

Alfonso was a great host - so friendly and was able to greet us and recommend some places to eat. The room exceeded our expectations. The whole place was spotlessly clean! The room was large and bright. We wish we could have stayed even longer! Coffee and breakfast was very welcome. The location was excellent, right in the middle of Sorrento. I would recommend this place 100%! The roof terrace has great views, if it was summer I would for sure spend more time up there relaxing!

I have nothing negative to say about this place! Our room and the location was absolutely faultless, with lovely friendly owners.

Location was superb and so central to absorbing the full atmosphere of Sorrento. Paola the General Manager was really friendly and helpful. The size of the room and cleanliness could not be faulted and we were super impressed. Hotel overall is very well maintained.

Breakfast was served quite far away from the hotel (approx 8mins walk away crossing through a busy Square...) with only the option of either 1x croissant OR 1x brioche bun with 1x coffee and 1x small juice. We were still hungry so had to pay for additional breakfast elsewhere. We were not informed that city tax had to be paid for in cash only (cards not accepted) so on checkout we were slightly flustered and stressed on how to find cash at such last minute being mindful that we had a flight to catch. Cash only payment for City tax should be made clear on check-in so that we are prepared in advance.

Lovely room right in the heart of Sorrento. The included breakfast and other little things like the iron, hair drier and kitchen facilities were a real bonus that I found not many other accomodation offers in Italy from my experience. So this made it super comfortable! The staff were nice and helpful. Oh and the roof top terrace was to die for! Great to see the sunset and sunrise from. The room is in great shape and it was super clean. Very very happy.

Only thing is that you can hear what is going on in the hallway.

The location was amazing right in the heart of Sorrento. The room and facilities were great with a very comfy bed and great sized room. Communication between the B&B and my self was awesome and the owner made us feel very welcome. I choose this place on rating and price and it did not disappoint. The perfect stay.

Lovely clean room with comfortable beds. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied daily. The host Alfonzo was very friendly. There was also a mini fridge in the room. Great location!

The slow lift! But it got us to the top floor and back down again many times!

This property is an absolutely exceptional place to stay. As two students we couldn't afford to massively splash out but this place was incredible value for money. The location, the owner, the room, and the facilities were all far beyond what we could have expected and have made our stay here a comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable one. Special mention goes to the roof terrace- fantastic views of the sea, the city, and Vesuvius, particularly at sunset.

First trip to Sorrento and stayed for 5 nights in Belvedere. Beautiful B&B right beside the Piazza, shops and restaurants. Property was excellent. Very clean. The room was serviced everyday. Breakfast included cereal, croissants, bread, fruit, eggs, coffee, etc. Alfonso was the perfect host! Welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed his conversations! We will most definitely be back to Belvedere B&B.

Great location, the view from the terrace was beautiful! Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was at a location 2 mins away and was simple and delicious.

Great location, 2 mins walk, and you are right in the centre of everything, spacious, clean comfy beds. Well stocked, self-service breakfast. Alfonso is very helpful and friendly.

No light when you get out of the lift, difficult to see when it's dark. Lift very slow with little air.
