We booked this hotel as we were attending the Roberto Bolle and Friends Gala in the Teatro Antico. The location couldn't have been better. It is a few minutes walk to the theatre and the location of the hotel is in the main shopping/restaurant area of Corso Umberto. The hotel staff were all friendly and spoke good English. The open air terrace gave amazing views of Mount Etna and the coastline. The continental breakfast was good, and the croissants and torte di Nonna were delicious. We used the local CitybySee hop-on hop-off buses, located just a few minutes away, to see all the sights and to take us to the beach. We used the cable car, also just a few minutes away, to bring us back from Isola Bella beach up to Taormina centre.

Everything was as expected for the price we paid. If you wish to have a bigger room / bathroom / cooked breakfast then you need to find another hotel. This was perfect for our needs.

The view from the terras was lovely! The location is perfect in terms of being in the center even if it is far from the beach but they give you a ticket to use the private beach of Hotel Caparena in Mazzeo. If you like cold water and pebble beach, this beach is for you! The water temperature was quite cold even in a 38-degrees weather.

Air conditioning was not powerful enough to cool the room. The centre is on the hill and you have to climb a lot. Parking is a problem. There is a multi-storey car park at the entrance to Taormina. You can park your car there but it is a bit outside of the center and you have to climb. At least there are shuttle services and buses to the center.

The room was very spacious, very clean, modern and had large windows to let in natural light. Very cool as well with the air con. Bed was comfy, and location was ultimate, close to everything you needed to get too. Special mention to Ricardo and Laura who were in charge of the breakfast each morning. They were so warm and welcoming, they always remembered our coffee orders every morning, even our room number. Extremely friendly and we actually have missed seeing them since we have moved on to our next destination. The terrace where you eat breakfast has sensational views of the Greek theatre, etna, the water and the local town, it is absolutely breathtaking.

The shower in the room was very small and awkward for the size of the bathroom, given the rest is considerably large. The panels on the shower didn't do a great job keeping the water in the space. Also the room is separated by a thin door to the adjacent room next door which meant you could hear people talking whenever they were in the room.

Breakfast and location and friendly helpful staff

We had a shared balcony which meant door could not be left open and no privacy since balcony was shared with 2 other rooms. Description of room with balcony was misleading as there was no reference to shared balcony.

This small but charming hotel is situated right in the middle of beautiful and romantic Taormina city. Exiting the hotel you find yourself in the middle of the bustling Corso Umberto, within walking distance to all the restaurants, cafés, the ancient theatre, the public garden, cable car and more. Clean, charming and cozy hotel with very nice and friendly staff. A hotel well worth the money.

These are trifles; the breakfast could have been a bit better but was still ok.

Location is perfect, right in the center and accessible price

The rooms are often connected to allow the staff to create bigger rooms for families, we were travelling in 2 and got the room number 10, once we got it, we realised there was a sliding door -locked- that connected to room 11, and you are able to see/hear everything in the room next door since the key hole is open and there’s a big gap between the door and the floor.

Location is absolutely amazing, right on the heart of the main street, easy walk from the bus station. But what made our stay memorable was the staff specially Carmelo (receptionist). We’ll always remember his kind gesture the night of Andrea Bocelli’s concert for our celebration with prosecco. Grazie Carmelo !

The window seal was faulty, so it didn’t close properly therefore we could hear the outside noise

The hotel is at the best location at Corso Umberto. It has a beautiful view from the terrace where breakfast is served. The staff is beyond friendly, kind and very helpful. Our flight was canceled so we had to stay longer and the people from the hotel helped us to arrange our stay and transfer. I am very grateful to all nice people who work there and especially Simona! I can’t wait to be back! 10/10!

- ultra central location was perfect - balcony with view to Teatro Romano - very clean - ok wi fi - staff was great - breakfast selection was limited but still tasty - air conditioning - electronics actually fit in the hotel plugs and no adapters were needed - you can buy bus tours tickets from reception or book shuttle buses to beach, etc

- no extra pillows - top terrace was closed until mid June so breakfast was at -1 - scarce selection at breakfast

The location - 5 min walk to the center, 10 min walk from the central bus station - a lot of restaurants around it, facilities (terrace, garden), very beautiful view, very friendly and very proffesional staff, big bathrooms, good breakfast

The towels from the bathroom are too old, old fashion furniture in the room, dirty carpets in the hall ways
