Adored this gorgeous little gem in Venice! The bed was super comfy, breakfast was to die for and the owner was warm compassionate and a helpful gentleman. The staff was so kind and generous. It’s an authentic timeless little home that’s been converted to an inn, and we are grateful we found this. The location is a stones throw from the vaporetto stop which really helps when u have luggage. The square around the area is vibrant and it’s a short walk to all the spots like rialto bridge, san marco etc. we felt really safe and didnt encounter any situations we had been warned of! Venice was really special even though it was such a short trip. Would love to come back and stay here longer.
Nothing!

I really liked everything and felt perfect in the room. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable, also prompt in electronic communication. They even gave me an iron for all my stay and I could leave my luggage for some time after check-out. Breakfast was quite good; in the room it was pleasant to find an electric kettle, some mugs, teaspoons as well different kinds of tea and sugar. There were two stands for suitcases, too.I especially appreciated a comfortable double bed with rather big and soft pillows. A supermarket and a water bus station are at hand. The railway station, the bus station and the main sights are also quite close. I recommend this accomodation to everyone who is not very demanding.
Nothing.

The location once we found it was great. We also loved that they have an outdoor patio area where breakfast is served that we used at the end of the day when we got back from our sightseeing. Our room had a small fridge so we were able to keep, some drinks and snacks to enjoy on the patio.
The only issue was finding it which we had also read on previous reviews so we should have a researched that part better. The owner had told us putting the location into Google Maps would not help us as there are 3 addresses the same. That’s one thing about Venice is you have to be prepared to get lost a lot!

The staff was amazing, everyone was so lovely and breakfast was excellent. Cute little terrace in the morning as well! Location was perfect -- quick walk to the train/bus station (15 min) as well as all the sites (10 min)! Was actually trying to change my return hotel in Venice and re-book here when I came back because it was so convenient, but they were full already. Quieter part of Venice, not overly crowded here but still close by to everything you'd need. :)

It's an old house and we loved the feel. All the furniture was old fashioned, which was neither a pro or con for us, the bed was very comfortable and that's all that matters. The entire b&b was extremely clean. The host Marco was lovely and he speaks very good English, I heard him speak Spanish too. The breakfast was simple, but good - you get warmed croissants, buns and toast with some ham, cheese and a selection of jams. The coffee was good. The location is excellent, easy to reach from the bus/train station and close to main attractions. Lovely restaurants close by. We also enjoyed the outdoor balcony/terrace with a glass of wine on a warm afternoon. Overall great value for money and I would definitely recommend this b&b❤️
The only thing that one could complain about was the view from the window - due to the house location the window just looks over a wall of a different house. However the balcony/terrace makes up for it. It's also a shame that our bathroom didn't have a bidet, but I understand it's an old house and plumbing has some limitations. Also not a fan of their orange juice, way too sweet and not orangey enough haha

Accommodations in Venice are generally a compromise, mainly because of the older buildings and facilities, the high demand and the high guest turnover. Considering the above, AL CAMPANIEL is a good choice - it's located in a quiet area; there are groceries, bars and restaurants, nearby; it's within a normal walking distance from the bus and train stations from San Marco Square, close to the Rialto Bridge. Our room was clean and spacious, not too bright and a little limited and outdated in terms of furniture. The place offered a nice breakfast and the hosts were nice and helpful.
Our room was right under the staircase, leading to the breakfast room. With the building being half-timbered, this triggered a lot of noise in the morning due to the guests heading for breakfast.

Great B&B with lovely people working there. The location is amazing, not so busy like the touristic town center but still close to everything. And restaurants and stores were cheaper than in town centre. The staff was so nice. The airline lost my luggage and the staff gave me a map and showed me where I can buy clothes for a cheap price and gave me a phone charger. The room was spacious and neat. I had a private bathroom right on the other side. Breakfastroom was cozy and they had a cute outside rooftop terrace. Overall, thank you for the help and pleasant stay.
The pillows were thin and I like thick ones. Luckily they had a spare one.

The host is very nice, the location is perfect and the room has a good atmosphere with all amenities including a fridge and safety box. You can also use the large shared balcony. The price / quality is great. So I can fully recommend this place.
We didn't like two minor things. But again: we do recommend this room. However, best to come knowing these minor issues.. First of all, the room was adjacent to the breakfast area and the door isn't blocking the noise from there. So if you want to sleep till after 8:00 you might have a problem unless the other guests are not noisy (spoiler alert: lots of people from the US visit Venice). Secondly, WiFi didn't work most of the time or at best very, very slow. This seems to be a normal thing in Venice. As are.the mosquitoes, but the room was well isolated by the window (but they fly in through the open door in the balcony and under the space below the door).

Really nice owner, extremely kind and helpful. Nice breakfast, great location. Just ~15-20 minutes of walk to San Marco (if you don't get lost, which is pretty easy in Venice), 15 mins to Vaporetto station only 2 stops to/from Tronchetto (where you park or get dropped off from a bus).
The bathroom was, though private, but through the corridor. Understandable given the structure of the building and we also had a screen that could be used to cover our area of the corridor, so no biggie.

This B&B was superbly located a minute’s walk from the San Tomà water bus stops on the Grand Canal. The accommodation is old but kept clean and Marco was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast served to us was perfect, we would love to return to Venice and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for an affordable visit to this magical water city.
We found our room very hot in May (9-12) and the air conditioning was not on - we expected this and brought our own small hand held fans.
