The staff was friendly, responsive & helpful. The breakfast & coffee were ample with breads, eggs, yogurt, ham, fruit etc. location was central & sites were walkable. Facilities were clean & room size was good & windows opened.

Bed was too hard for our liking. Common area was reset for breakfast every day so no sitting area available outside of room. We did ask if we could sit at a table to eat a lunch we brought in on a rainy day & that was possible & appreciated. No complimentary coffee or tea in room which would have been nice on the chilly days we were there but this may be typical of Venice? We received this in other cities.

Breakfast, included in the package, was served on-site and proved to be quite satisfactory. The location was ideally situated for walking to various activities, and the room was pleasant. San Marco stands out as one of the premier areas to stay in Venice, particularly for those visiting for the first time. It boasts proximity to all the significant tourist sites and serves as a bustling hub at the core of Venice.

Remember that every property in San Marco, Venice, will have you climbing stairs frequently, and navigating the cobblestone streets can be quite challenging without a good pair of walking shoes. Carrying luggage over these streets and up the stairs may be somewhat difficult, so be prepared and plan accordingly. But staying in this area is an enjoyable experience.

Our stay at the Locanda was really great! The staff is very attentive and kind. The breakfast was light but very good! It is a traditional style Venetian hotel on one level with six guest rooms but some rooms have two rooms within with king size beds or queen. We really liked that there were two separate rooms for our family and two separate bathrooms in the same room but the shower was a little small and could only fit a child. The location was wonderful for us because it was close to everything and we walked every day to hit all the spots we wanted to see on our two day trip.

As stated earlier the shower was quite small.

If you are travelling to Venice, this is the place where you should stay. The host was super nice, welcoming us, showing us around, and being available for our questions or requests. The rooms were quite spacious for two people and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is located in a great area; you can easily reach the main sightseeing spots in minutes by walking. Additionally, they offered a great breakfast. I definitely recommend this place if you are travelling with your friends or family.

The accommodation boasts a central location, conveniently situated within a 15-minute walk from both the train station and main tourist attractions. The property ensures security by granting access exclusively to guests. Adjacent to the accommodation, there is a delightful restaurant that adds to the overall experience. Additionally, one of the highlights was the availability of a bath in the bathroom, providing a pleasant and relaxing amenity.

We were taken aback by the presence of steep stairs leading into the property. We cannot recall if this information was mentioned in the property description. It is worth noting that there is no elevator available, and although it may not pose a problem for most guests, it was a concern for our older traveler.

A lovely little boutique hotel but quite central to everywhere you want to go. Around 10 min stroll from the train station. The hotel was just lovely and charming. Beautiful features and style. The room we stayed was so stylish, beautiful with lots of character. It was very spacious, clean and very quiet despite the busy street being just outside and this is due to room having double glazed windows. Bathroom had a great shower and had a selection of small toiletries so if you travel light and don’t want to carry your own shampoo etc, you will find it all there. The price includes breakfast, a very typical Italian style breakfast so more on the sweet side, with pastries and cakes but also a small selection of cheeses, spreads and eggs and also yogurts and fresh fruit, and freshly baked bread rolls. Everything super fresh and tasty. A special mention goes to a lovely staff lady who works there, she was incredibly nice and helpful and gave us a few tips on where to go and how to get there. We were able to leave our bags there after the check out and collect them later on in the day. I highly recommend this place and when I’m in Venice next time I would love to stay there again. Thank you :)

We loved everything there but if I had one wish I’d wish for a fluffier pillow. Other than that 10/10

Excellent Location and easy access to everything. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast is a continental buffet and the coffee was excellent. The entrance is a door off the street with the reception upstairs on the first floor and our room’s view was of the house’s opposite but it was quiet and everything we needed.

The bed was quite firm.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was very central, just a short walk to everything. The street and piazza it was situated on was not overcrowded with tourist traffic and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from in the vicinity. The breakfast was excellent and we spent 3 very comfortable nights here. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful with directions and advice. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This hotel was very nice for the price! The location was great after we figured out a better way than Google maps led us the first time! This place is VERY unassuming! There are STAIRS to enter (no lift)! If you have excessive luggage it can be very wearisome! Our hostess Francesca was amazing and overly accommodating! All the rooms are on the same floor, only about 7 rooms total! Breakfast was included and delicious and a beautiful selection! The room was large!! There were 3 of us so we had a king bed and a twin bed. The bathroom was very clean, modern and spacious and included some amenities like shampoo, conditioner and shower gel! It was amazing!!!

We loved it! We called it our “HIDDEN GEM”!! The worst part of this place was finding it! Otherwise not a single compliant! Our hostess helped us up the stairs with some of our luggage! It was about a 10 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge (without luggage) and about a 25-30 minute walk to St Lucia Train Station (with luggage)!

Small Hotel that was extremely clean. The staff were lovely and so helpful with any questions. Hotel is close to everything and you get to explore different areas easily. You could get a porter to help with bags from the train station. A water taxi could drop you off just out front also if you wish from anywhere. Breakfast has everything you require and is a good start to the day with a mix of Cold meat, cheese, boiled eggs, pastries, cereal, yogurts, fruit juices and tea/coffee.
