The place has a specific Venice vibe, the rooms have plenty of space and have a high ceiling. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast had enough options to satisfy your average needs (eggs, croissants, panini, cheese, prosciutto, salami, fruits, cereals, pastry etc.). The hotel is located in a good area, approx. 25 minutes away from San Marco square, by foot. We appreciated that the area was not so crowded. Although we have arrived early in the morning, we were able to leave our backpacks there and when we got back at 2 pm to get the room, the luggage was already placed in the room.
Some rooms have little to no view at all. But that is typical in Venice due to the narrow streets. Our room had the windows facing the yard of another building and we could still see some sunlight. In the first night there was a buzzing noise coming from something that touched the building's walls, maybe the vents from restaurant downstairs, but it stopped somewhere around 12 pm.

The staff was friendly, responsive & helpful. The breakfast & coffee were ample with breads, eggs, yogurt, ham, fruit etc. location was central & sites were walkable. Facilities were clean & room size was good & windows opened.
Bed was too hard for our liking. Common area was reset for breakfast every day so no sitting area available outside of room. We did ask if we could sit at a table to eat a lunch we brought in on a rainy day & that was possible & appreciated. No complimentary coffee or tea in room which would have been nice on the chilly days we were there but this may be typical of Venice? We received this in other cities.

Perfect location for exploring Venice. We arrived via train and walked to hotel with some rather heavy backpacks and we had no issue with the walk. The hotel is tucked away with some fantastic bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are very spacious and have pretty much everything you need. The hotel is checkin was also pretty smooth. Breakfast is small, but plentiful!
The shower was a tad too small, I'm a 6ft man and I was taller than the shower head. It wasn't the worst shower... but I'd fear for those taller than me! Something we weren't aware of which may bother others. The rooms go directly out into the foyer. This didn't actually bother us as much as we thought it would initially, as the reception area is pretty quiet outside of breakfast times! A small detail (which we may of missed so forgive us if so!). We found the hotel all fine and dandy, but were unaware we had to buzz in. A bit of initial confusion, but was obviously all fine once we'd figured it out.

I loved the style of this hotel and how quiet it was. Gorgeous location with two restaurants just next to it. Strong WiFi, Bath and shower. Big, nicely decorated rooms, very small hotel with a calming vibe in a busy Venice. amazing and friendly staff.
No kettle in the room, which was quite hard as we were there for seven days. every time I needed a cup of tea it had to be from the restaurant and not in the room. Hairdryer kept falling apart. Not many choices for me as a vegan at breakfast. Very limited options at breakfast.

We stayed at Locanda Sant’Agostin in April , the location was very convenient as it was near the main attractions of Venice , also in walking distance from both the bus stop, train station and St.Marc Square. The staff were so friendly and helpful , we asked if we could leave our bags even after we had checked out and they were glad to do so. The breakfast was very good for our taste and also the room was very clean with all amenities needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast, included in the package, was served on-site and proved to be quite satisfactory. The location was ideally situated for walking to various activities, and the room was pleasant. San Marco stands out as one of the premier areas to stay in Venice, particularly for those visiting for the first time. It boasts proximity to all the significant tourist sites and serves as a bustling hub at the core of Venice.
Remember that every property in San Marco, Venice, will have you climbing stairs frequently, and navigating the cobblestone streets can be quite challenging without a good pair of walking shoes. Carrying luggage over these streets and up the stairs may be somewhat difficult, so be prepared and plan accordingly. But staying in this area is an enjoyable experience.

Our stay at the Locanda was really great! The staff is very attentive and kind. The breakfast was light but very good! It is a traditional style Venetian hotel on one level with six guest rooms but some rooms have two rooms within with king size beds or queen. We really liked that there were two separate rooms for our family and two separate bathrooms in the same room but the shower was a little small and could only fit a child. The location was wonderful for us because it was close to everything and we walked every day to hit all the spots we wanted to see on our two day trip.
As stated earlier the shower was quite small.

If you are travelling to Venice, this is the place where you should stay. The host was super nice, welcoming us, showing us around, and being available for our questions or requests. The rooms were quite spacious for two people and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is located in a great area; you can easily reach the main sightseeing spots in minutes by walking. Additionally, they offered a great breakfast. I definitely recommend this place if you are travelling with your friends or family.

The accommodation boasts a central location, conveniently situated within a 15-minute walk from both the train station and main tourist attractions. The property ensures security by granting access exclusively to guests. Adjacent to the accommodation, there is a delightful restaurant that adds to the overall experience. Additionally, one of the highlights was the availability of a bath in the bathroom, providing a pleasant and relaxing amenity.
We were taken aback by the presence of steep stairs leading into the property. We cannot recall if this information was mentioned in the property description. It is worth noting that there is no elevator available, and although it may not pose a problem for most guests, it was a concern for our older traveler.

Excellent Location and easy access to everything. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast is a continental buffet and the coffee was excellent. The entrance is a door off the street with the reception upstairs on the first floor and our room’s view was of the house’s opposite but it was quiet and everything we needed.
The bed was quite firm.
