Breakfast was in a lovely area . The terrace seemed more like a garden. Fresh breads, yogurt and soft boiled eggs with coffee or tea. Well worth staying for. We walked along the canals in the afternoon and had dinner at a local restaurant on one of the canals recommended by our host. We were out of the tourist areas in a very lovely part of Venice. The water taxi to the airport was very convenient. Overall a very lovely stay. We highly recommend it.

For Venice, this is a great property and value. The owners are very nice and are sharing their great home with guests (though your room is private - you just need to enter their living area for breakfast, but the breakfast location as other reviewers mention is very nice overlooking a garden area).

Not much we didn't like. Like a lot of places in Venice, there are issues with utility infrastructure so you might need to juggle what appliances you run concurrently to avoid tripping the power. For us, we tried to not run the water heater when we had the AC on. But otherwise the AC was great and a lifesaver.

This was the perfect room to stay in Venice! Marco is a fantastic host and provided such tremendous tips for fun places to enjoy the neighborhood. We really loved staying in Cannaregio. The room is very spacious and waking up to the sound of birds each morning was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked great. Perfect for a couple. The neighborhood is a hidden gem. Marco has been one of our favorite hosts. We highly recommend staying here!!

We liked everything!

The B&B was peaceful and delightful. The location was very convenient for getting to and from airport via water bus and popular tourist sites. Marco gave me info on the transportation, especially for my early departure at 4am. The room had nice views and touches. It was bigger than I expected for a historic city. Marco also gave great food recommendations, some that were just a couple minutes away. Breakfast was great for fueling up for most of the day. Checking in and out was a breeze. Marco communicated via WhatsApp and answered any concerns I had in a reasonable amount of time. I will be returning with my family.

This is a small but very comfortable B&B. If you want to experience what it is like to live in a neighborhood in Venice vs staying in a large hotel (where sometimes, you could be anywhere) and you really just need bed and breakfast, then this is a great experience and great value. Maybe a bit off the tourist route, although very easy to get back to the madness when you want to, but a great location to see local people, life, restaurants., etc Marco was very amicable, informative and helpful...a great host.

The weather on this last trip! No complaints about the accommodation

Marco and Alexandra were so warm and welcoming. The daily breakfast was fresh and delicious and the setting is very serene. The day we were supposed to depart, there was a train strike but we didn’t know if our particular train was affected until day of. We had to go the train station to “wait and see.” Marco was very helpful in alleviating our concern about returning if there was no transportation. We feel as though we have new “ Venetian” friends.

This place is like a dream, you enter via a lovely flowering trees garden right from the beautiful (and quiet) canals in the North of Venice, and are welcomed by lovely hosts that make you feel right at home. Breakfast is served in the back garden overlooking a historical Venetian garden (or in your room on a cute trolley in case of rain). One small bridge away there is a canal with amazing local restaurants and awesome wine bars, and the rest of Venice is a breeze to get to either by walking or taking some occasional public boats. It's the perfect place to come back to and unwind after spending some time in the busy center. Rooms felt bigger in real life compared to the pictures.

Loved our stay here! Big bathroom, comfortable bed, table and chairs, deep fridge. No laundry on site, but they recommended a good laundromat. Ate at some of the restaurants they recommended and we had great experiences😋 everything is within walkable distance (20 minutes or less). Would have just liked a TV to watch Netflix, etc. but we were fine without of course.

A really great stay for our first time in Venice! Location was perfect - easy to find and further enough away from the really busy spots. Marco was warm and friendly - taking us through the room, breakfast in the morning and heaps of recommendations for exploring the area. He mentioned Vino Vero which isn’t far from the accommodation - we went back twice for the good wine and cicchetti. The breakfast was such a lovely way to start the morning and also chat with other travellers enjoying the B&B. We had to leave early on our check out morning to get a train, but Marco thoughtfully popped some breakfast items in our room to have before we left. Would love to come back and stay again!

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

We particularly liked the location , in a very quiet area of Venice , Cannaregio , the entrance off the canal side very original . Marco and he's wife Allesandro made us very welcome in there home , breakfast was served on a beautiful terrace covered in jasmine overlooking another lovely garden ,perfect. Waking up to the old church bells ringing across the city , nothing like it any where else in the world. Our Italian adventure was amazing, Lake Garda then by train into Venice ,Casa Bassagio was the icing on the cake
