The decor in our room (one of the red ones) was great… a really decadent feel! Location was good, within a few minutes walk of the water boat line in San Stae, and an easy walk to several local osterias. About a 15 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge, and a further 8 minutes to San Marco. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was small, but had everything we needed, and the water pressure was great. Small fridge in the room with water, was much appreciated! Air conditioning worked brilliantly.

The bed was a bit hard, would benefit from a topper. You couldn’t close the curtains to block daylight without covering the air conditioning unit.

The hotel is located in a wonderfully quiet spot - very few tourists at all, and mostly locals, so it was relaxing and felt like an authentic Venetian experience. Yet a very short walk to cafes, restaurants, the Natural History Museum, a classic gondola spot, and only an 8 minute walk to great people watching at the Trattoria San Polo. My teenage daughter and I loved it! It was easy to reach via boat from the airport - being located about 200 m from the canal. It was spotless, the staff were friendly and informative, and our room was well appointed. It was also a lovely quiet space, so we could rest well. The air conditioning was particularly welcomed! We'd happily stay there again.

I felt the room was a little small, but it was very comfortable and the mattress was good quality. While the coffee at breakfast was superb, we felt the choice of food was a little bit spartan. But that wasn't a particular problem as we were so happy with everything else.

We had an amazing stay at Al Duca di Venezia. The large triple room was stunning, we felt immersed right into the glorious lush Venetian history. The temperature in the room was just right, the marble bathroom exquisite and well appointed, everything was cozy and comfortable and felt authentic. The hotel is in a quiet area, only15 minutes walk from Piazzale Roma and 10 from the Santa Lucia Train Station, which was great, as it saved a lot of money in vaporetto fees, and also conveniently close to tourist sites such as Rialto and San Marco. We also enjoyed the neighborhood quite a lot, with good and affordable restaurants and sites to visit in close proximity such as Ca Pesaro and Mocenigo Palace Museum. Last but not least, I can not speak highly enough of the staff, everybody was so nice, welcoming and ready to help! We hope to be back soon.

Good location - 10 min walk to Rialto, 20 min walk to Plaza St Marco, 10-15 min walk to Train Station Santa Lucia. Hotel itself is in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle. Good included breakfast - great puff pasties, assortment of cold cuts, cheese slices, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast area could get crowded and tight seating during peak times (around 8:30 am seems to be the worst time, better before 8 or after 9).

Located in a quieter more local part of Venice which is so nice to escape the crowds and quiet! A 10 min walk from the main car park and cruise port which is handy and only a 10 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio to access all the Venice sights. Our room was a loft room and so cute! Surprisingly spacious for Venice, and had a fridge, and spacious bathroom.

If you are on the highest floor it’s one flight of stairs to carry up your suitcases - but the staff are so helpful :) Slightly expensive however that’s to be expected in Venice!

We booked 2 rooms during the Carnevale - the hotel was a great decision since it is not far away from the train station so we didn't have to carry the luggage trough too much crowding. Also even though it is close to the centre at night it was quiet and nice as if it was not the busiest season. As most Venetian accommodations the hotel is in an old style rooms and furnitures reminding of the renaissance, however in Hotel Al Duca the great thing was that those rooms and furnitures were very clean, which is not usually the case. The Suite had the cutest little terrace so even if it was not very nice weather we enjoyed it for a chat.

The breakfast was pretty basic, so it can be improved, but not bad in general.

Cozy hotel, good breakfast. About 10 mins walk from the train station, around 15-20 min walk from San Marco. (This can be great if you want to avoid the crowds, but perhaps difficult if people do not like walking too much). Rooms are comfortable and are all decorated in old Venetian style. Good breakfast.

It is a 10-15 min walk from the train station, which can be annoying if you have lots of luggage, or when it is hot and crowded on the streets. Remember that there are no cars or other modes of transportation within the streets of Venice, so be prepared.

Great location in a quiet area with easy access for getting to the Rialto bridge and San Marco. We had superior room which was more than adequate. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stay. We would have no hesitation to return.

There isn’t a restaurant but we knew this. The breakfast was adequate but think the selection could have been a little more extensive but will suit most tastes. if you wanted anything cooked, we didn’t need it, I think there is an additional charge.

Beautiful and spacious bedroom Including a stocked fridge with beverages. Breakfast included coffee options, freshly baked rolls, croissants, fruit, meats and cheeses, eggs, juices and pastries. We were also pleasantly surprised by the spacious bathroom with plenty of towels, toiletries and hair dryer. Hotel looked spotless and well maintained located in a convenient location. We were able to walk to every popular destination yet we enjoyed a quiet area for accommodation and dining.

The staff were amicable and helpful with any questions we had. Immediately at check-in, we were given a map and more knowledge on public transport and general pricing. It was also a pleasant surprise to see that towels and bedding were replaced on a daily basis. From my own personal experience, the most friendly people in Venice.

The lift was inconsistent as the doors didn't always open at the lobby but it wasn't a big deal for us.
