This is a traditional "pension" style hotel in Venice. It is basic, but good value given the cost of more modern style hotels in the city or nearby. If you want all mod cons, stay outside the city in the faceless chain hotels across the water. The old building has very steep stairs, possibly not ideal for those over-sized suitcases many travellers bring (what do they really need from all that stuff?), and perhaps better suited to backpacks. The place is comfortable and clean. Shared bathrooms are well maintained. Liquid hand soap is provided in the WCs. WiFi only on the ground floor. Good restaurants etc nearby. 15 minutes walk from the train station.

The place was very clean and comfortable. I traveled with my friend and we got a room with a shared bathroom and had no issues! Never had to wait to use it and it was kept clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the location was perfect for us. It was a short walk away from the main tourist spots which meant it was a much quieter and calmer area which we loved and tons of cute restaurants and shops nearby. Would absolutely recommend for solo travelers, couples, and friends who area looking for something on-budget with a comfortable and homey atmosphere!

If you are looking for a luxury stay this is not the place for you. It is an older building like many in the area and you wont get the same amenities as a more upscale hotel. You get what you pay for in the best way possible! No surprises, no hidden fees (other than the city mandated nightly tax of 2€ you’d pay anywhere), and everything was clean and well maintained.

Mostly the value for money in a place like Venice. It's far from the most luxurious place you'll stay in and it's also a decent walk to the main attractions, but you really do get what you pay for. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom served it's purpose, although the shower was a bit small. Hot water was consistent the whole time which is a huge bonus for budget hotels in Italy. The artwork on the walls was a nice touch too. A great place to stay if you're on a budget and don't mind walking a bit.

There was a sign in the bathroom that said please don't wash your clothes in the room. I mean, I did it anyway because I had to, but I can't see the harm in doing so. People staying here are looking to save which means that doing laundry in your hotel is pretty essential. There were no ramifications for me doing so, so hopefully it's just a hollow deterrent.

Very clean, perfect location (center of Venice), polite and cooperative staff, really nice people, cleaning the room every day, changing towels and sheets as well on a daily basis. Clean and well maintained shared bathroom. I would visit the place again, it is perfect for the price and i recommend.

It was really really hot in the room even at night, the room does not have air conditioning and it was very hot. There was a fan, which was some option but not enough.

The size of the room was bigger than average and very warm. The bed, two singles together, was very comfortable, firm mattress! Everything was basic but covering our needs. It was also quiet at night and superb location, with gluten free bar local for breakfast very close by.

There was a smell in the room like tobacco only noticeable when arriving. I believe it is from the old days when smoking was allowed. In general the room was clean and they serviced it daily. The fun in the bathroom was very old and the noise was unbearable, so better not to use the light!

Clean, neat and quiet. With all the basic stuff (bedsheets, towels, soap, cups, hangers, free luggage storage for a few hours after check out) properly provided . Warm (in wintertime) and breathable room with three windows and at a reachable location also convenient for exploration of the city.

The host was ok in the core of it but could seem a bit friendlier and more available for questions etc. Even for a late check in. Friendliness (even in the form of fake politeness) is basic customer service. Also for a private room I 'd expect more privacy. A glass door with just some loose cloth poorly covering it is not my ideal. Generally the building is very old ( and of course you expect that in the centre of the old city and it's part of its charm) but some small things could look better taken care of although the cleanliness is finally saving it. More sockets would be appreciated. Overally decent though.

Amazing location right in the heart of Vienna, very convenient around a 10-minute walk from the bus stop which takes you to the airport. The bathrooms were very clean, and while you do have to share with other guests they were spotless with professional cleaners coming through a few times each day.

Obviously, you get what you pay for, so if you are looking for a flash hotel than this is not the place. It seems as though it is a nice little family run establishment where you can sleep while exploring the islands.

So this is going to be a long review, but i want to clarify some things. Before booking here i was kinda conserned because of some of the reviews. But yet, this hotel is just a gem in terms of price/service comparison. It is just in 15mins walk from the Train Station. And it is on 5 min walk from S. Toma stop. (they even have a simplfied map on their bussiness cards on the reception.) We found it easy with Google maps navigation. There were some reviews that it was hard to find...but i think everyone with Basic skills of orientation on Google Maps can find it. Stairs are narrow, but all old and vintage hotels in Venice have the same narrow staircases so i dont think that this is a specific disadvantage for this hotel. (ive been in more than 6 different hotels here) So if you have a big luggage you will struggle 6 minutes more the last floor and thats it...its not a big deal. I can admit, electric outlets are far away from the bed (like 1 meter far) but thats also fine :) The Rooms are tidy, vintage. The bathroom is clean as well. We were on the second floor and the wifi was more than good. They also give us keys for the outside door so we can someback wherever we want :)

A very central location in Venice, not too far from the Train station. An authentic indoor design and a large comfy bed was very nice. Regular daily room cleaning with new bed linen was perfect.

Lack of kettles in the rooms meant that we could get some hot water in the morning, which was not too convenient. There was no fridge in the room or communal areas.

Helpful personal , always gave us the needed information. Good location.

No air conditioning in the room and it was too hot . Only the fan but it didn’t help. No elevator the second floor was like a fifth, stairs were high and lot . No wifi in the rooms only in ground floor.
