Firstly I will comment on the owner and staff - they were great. Very friendly and welcoming. Silvano Nencini was a good host - he kept us informed and kindly refunded us money on a booking mix up (of ours not his). He was very pleasant to chat to. Maria Fernanda - our table host, was very polite and pleasant and always very helpful. And the rest of the team were all friendly and great too. Our room was the best in the hotel and we will definitely ask for it again (when we return which we are already planning) - it is a homely and welcoming place- quiet and relaxing. The pool is a massive attraction and the views are stunning.

The position of the Hotel was just outside the main town walls - easy to walk up to the centre. The 360 deg views were fantastic. The pool was extremely useful after a day sightseeing. We used the restaurant at night a few times during our stay and the food was delicious

First we chose a room without air conditioning, which was really a mistake in July. Fortunately, however, there were other rooms available where this problem was solved for a small extra charge. Breakfast was fine. Amazing tranquility and an awesome pool. Beautiful views.

The beds could be more comfortable (they are too soft and stretched out).

Check in was easy and room ready earlier than advertised. Location is excellent although Volterra is very hilly so a steep climb from the hotel to the centre of town. Parking easily available. Bedroom was clean and comfortable with good bathroom. Large swimming pool that was very welcome after walking about town. We ate in the hotel restaurant. Very atmospheric with good food and wine. External views were spectacular.

Room was a little noisy. Not sure if it was a central air con unit as we had swiched off our room unit. 2 Euro charge for pool towel.

It was located just outside the old walled city of Volterra on a steep hill. Glorious views over the Tuscan countryside. The rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was an assortment of cereals, eggs, cheese, ham, breads yoghurts etc alongside pastries. The pool was a good size with lots of seating/ sun beds around to relax.

We spent three nights at the facility and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The staff is very nice and helpful, the room was spacious with a balcony and the swimming pool is huge so it doesn't get too crowded.

The only thing we had an issue with was the shower door. It definitely needs to be fixed, but other than that no complaints.

The hotel went to much trouble with our vegan breakfasts: vegan croissants, vegan yoghurts, vegan crostatine, lots of fruit . . .

Rustic and tranquil setting ( excellent pool and facilities). Genuine family run. Super Personnel and service. Passionately prepared and explained food from passed down old family recipes.

I didn't like having to leave when my 6 day's stay came to an end :) :)

Perfect location and very good breakfast. Nice staff. Pool temperature very good

The beds and instead of a blanket it would be much nicer with a quilt with duvet cover. Softer pillows.

the views, the size of the pool, the evening meals, convenience for day trips, everything about Volterra
